Fuck you. You lost thread privileges, I'm going to make them at 750 if you don't stop doing this
I really wish that IS was the only P2 game. It was such a powerful ending. I can't stand EP, it's the worst game in the series for me
>lower case in the title
So many things wrong with this thread and THIS is what you choose to sperg over?
I don't know where you're finding those elly pictures but please keep them coming.
my waifu is not real so you can't stick your truth and reach out inside her, narukami
Not to mention the horrendous difficulty spike that basically forced you to deal with the terrible contact system to farm cards and pray you could summon something effective enough to beat the game.
It's ok anon
At least she's not as ignored as Yukino
It's not purple, it's just 'black' with highlighting. There's this thing called stylization, it avoids everything looking like a flat color.
Reiji's hair is blueer.
I liked EP.
IS' cast was shit compared to EP. Don't delude yourself.
That game turns 20 next year. Here's to hope for some acknowledgement.
Yeah, I'm 100% sure Nanjo is the kind of guy to dye his hair purple.
It varies from image to image, but it's just different ways to draw 'dark' hair, as in not dyed like Brown's or Ayase's.
>all those Reis
But where are their Zens?
Is there even good cosplay of Persona?
I have never seen any.
Okay Playing Persona Q and I'm on the last dungeon. Something's been bugging me.
Imma spoiler this just in case.
I'm at the 8th Floor of the Clock Tower. There are sections that I can't reach because pillars are blocking my way. But I can't find any switches on that floor. Are the switches on Clock Tower 7 or Clock Tower 9?
Oh yeah, I totally forgot that I have two cosplay pics.
And the girl on your's has a pretty well done costume.
Nice meme. I just started P3P, but now that I can't abuse the knockdown I keep getting my ass kicked by the first Tartarus boss. P4G was the same until I got Rise and abused the VR for Victory cry.
Scan enemies always
Fuse all your shit except Orpheus
Get apsaras and use Cadenza
Don't poush your teammates too much, you need to explore Tartarus in multiple visits
Read the guide in the OP
That's because you suck. I played both FES and P3P. Ability to cotrnol your party members, not being forced to carry Personas for fusion spells and skill cards make everything much easier.
Same goes for P4G,They actually fucking nerfed some bosses. I got a heavy physical skill with I think medium chance for silence in Kanji's dungeon on my first playthrough thanks to shuffle time.
I haven't gotten far in P3P yet but without the knockdown of FES this game got harder. When people talked about how easy P3P was I imagined the games had the same knockdown mechanic. If you don't think that made FES infinitely easier I don't know what to tell ya.
What are you talking about? P3P is easier in the regard of knockdowns
>cast ma-elemental that they're weak to
>get a "one more!
>cast ma-elemental again
>knock all of them down and get an All out attack
It's fucking easy
But... it does. P3P has the same knockdown mechanic as FES. You hit weakness and the enemy falls down and you AOA it. What the hell are you talking about?
Holy shit, you mean dizzy.
Hit them again when they're already down, you moron. Dizzy is still in the game. You're an idiot.
Okay nerd you told me that like 5 times now so here's your reply.
You need to hit them again to get Dizzy, FES gives it to you outright. Plus at the point i'm at you don't have any MA- attacks.
Now I feel like that is bullshit. I'm about to go try/
Scan Enemies...Always. Even bosses. They won't show you the weaknesses/strengths but your AI Teammates will get smarter from it. Also you can usually get by on Act Freely most of the time.
Always spam the All-Out Attack whenever possible. Fights go quicker, that way.
Social Link every chance you get. Don't forget to have a card with the same arcana as the person you're S-Linking with. Also you'll want to spend extra time with the girls and be sure to give them gifts they like or you'll be going out with them for a LONG time. (P.S.: There's five of these girls)
Level up and fuse constantly. Also don't forget to register your persona in the compendium! If you've been brushing up your social links you get bonus levels for your fused personas.
As for dating, don't be afraid to double date a bit. The game allows you to get away with a little cheating...which is nice since Yukari (Lovers), Fuuka (Priestess), Mitsuru (Empress), Yuko (Strength) and Chihiro (Justice) will REQUIRE you to engage in romance with them. For girls, S-Links reverse if you don't meet with them after 45 days. Cheating on them bumps that number down by 15 days. So if you cheat more than three times, you're fucked.
For guys: Keiji (Magician), Keisuke (Fortune), Kaz (Chariot), Bebe (Temperence), their S-Links will reverse if you don't spend time with them after 60 days.
From what I hear Reversed links make the character angry and you have to waste a day trying to get them to forgive you. Fuck that up and the link breaks entirely, meaning you cannot use ANY Persona of that person's arcana.
You're fucking dumb
FES doesn't have dizzy, if you hit them when they're down, they come back up
If you cast a Ma- skill they're weak to and one dodges then you don't get a "one more!"
You do get a one more.
You were the one who told me about dizzy, I just assumed that's what it was. Still doesn't stop you getting a free turn. I'm not about to try that out and get one to miss, but FES was infinitely easier with the way they handle knockdowns.
In P4G I felt like not doing an all out attack was always dumb, but with the way knock down worked in P3 I felt like sometimes it was smarter to hold back and maybe buff or heal or something.
I never needed to buff or heal in FES, so I wouldn't know. Knock-down then AoA was it.
Can you? I feel like everything you told has been bullshit.
Go try it, that's what I did.
>If all enemies are weak to the element you get a one more, if one of them dodges or isn't weak you don't get a one more.
Was P4 different? I'm about to try that too even though I feel like your right.
>FES was infinitely easier
Except it isn't, you have to knock down allof them for an AoA, if you miss one then you don't get one
And you can't get dizzy or make other enemies dizzy either
P4 has a different knock down mechanism, it's the same as P3P
P4 and P3P have it that even if one of the enemies isn't weak/dodges when you use a ma-dyne you get a one more anyway. 2 ma-dynes is usually enough to kill off enemies that aren't weak to the element anyway.
Also I actually think the change in knockdown system is a buff except for some Tartarus bosses. Enemies get up quicker but so do your teammates, and they can kill trash mobs and shit quicker than trash can kill you.
You still basically get a free turn, If you aren't shit you have your team on knock-down.
I don't really see it as a buff, you go an extra turn for the dizzy instead of just having it like in FES. I can see it being useful if one of your teamates turns are after and can knock em down again for the AoA.
On trash mobs? You are that shit you needed to buff and heal on trash mobs?
Take screenshots of what? That wouldn't really prove anything, i'd need to do a webm,
>You still basically get a free turn
You don't, if you knock down the enemies then their turn skips
>on trash mobs?
You never mentioned trash mobs
Did you finally see it's not the same in FES and P3P?
Actually can someone give me more details on Reverse Links and Broken Links?
My brother and I (we played P3FES together) did pretty good with the Social Links but I forgot about Fuuka and saw the Angry Vein instead of the "!" above her head. By that time it was like January 30th and I was getting busy with Aigis...
Speaking of Aigis...She both is and isn't a girlfriend. She is in the way that you get to romance her and other girls get jealous if you date her. She isn't in the way that you don't get Sunday Dates with her nor do you need to give her gifts. After all, her Aeon Social Link isn't available until January 8th.
For the record, the Male Main can have sex with Yukari, Mitsuru, Fuuka, Yuko, Chihiro, Elizabeth and Aigis (you give her an orgasm by touching her papillion heart).
The Female Main can have sex with Akihiko, Shinjiro and Aigis (again touching the papillion heart). Hidetoshi and Bebe confess their love to you but nothing comes of it. Ken's love for you is downplayed because he's a kid. Neither Theodore nor Elizabeth have sex with you either. Kinda sad really.
>You don't, if you knock down the enemies then their turn skips
Yeah, and in P3P and 4 that doesn't happen, they can still get up and attack.
>You never mentioned trash mobs
Most of the shit I was talking about only works on trash mobs and some tartarus bosses.
>Did you finally see it's not the same in FES and P3P?
What? I never said it wasn't different. I said it was easier in FES.
>Neither Theodore nor Elizabeth have sex with you either
Except that's totally wrong
>Aigis (you give her an orgasm by touching her papillion heart)
>if one of your teamates turns are after and can knock em down
This is generally the case. You hit the weakness, move on to next teammate, they hit weakness, get AOA, the enemies all die. P3P makes it easier because you can spam ma-dynes to get the enemy down to shit hp even if it's not weak and have your teammates do the same and still proc AOA in the end when collateral damage kills off the already weakened non-weak enemies.
Basically what I'm saying is that this system means you can go so nuts with the firepower that you don't need to play cautiously and don't need to have the extra turn anyway because the fight would be over in one or two rounds. The only times this wouldn't apply would be for some tartarus bosses. Your teammates getting knocked down with a 1-turn wakeup is an annoyance more than it is a real threat. Then you go back to the clock and get your SP back and go right back to it.
If P3P didn't change the AOA mechanics and just left it as a one-turn wake-up then I might think it was harder, but between the AOA mechanics and direct control it's insane to call FES easier when P3P and P4 only require you to spam your strongest ma-dynes in your first two turns, with advantage this means the enemy can't hit you, get AOA (which you will, because direct control means you'll get your ma-dyne off from everybody without any shit like firebreak or single target spells coming up) and win.
I can see what your saying, but getting a free turn without the chance of getting hit sounds like the better deal to me. You can do the same in the others, but you need to spend more resources.
Liz is the only one MC can unambiguously fuck.
The other options are up to your interpretation. I guess you can really stretch and try to do the same thing with Liz, but her meaning is crystal clear.
P3P also doesn't have the free full heal FES had. So spamming moves and buying the full heal doesn't sound all that great especially since I don't really want to grind that much in P3P.
I actually watched a Playthrough. The dude who played it ended up not having sex with Theodore...
Aigis has a ribbon tied around her neck which hides a special sensitive core in her body called the "Papillion Heart" which I'm guessing is her source of emotions and such. It's very delicate but she asks you to touch it so that your DNA can be permanently burned into her very essence.
Of course she also claims she'll be saying a lot of wierd shit when you do it so she'll shut off the function of her arms and legs while you do it.
Yeah...it's an orgasm alright. Too bad she doesn't return the favor to you.
>getting a free turn without the chance of getting hit sounds like the better deal to me
But you get more turns and AoAs with P3P
It's infinitely easier with P3P, and you can even make enemies dizzy, which also skips their turn
>4 enemies weak to agi
>4enemies weak to agi
>get a one more and cast it again
>hit the other two and make the one that was already down become dizz
>all out attack and win fight
Are you saying that's not easier?
Even using the clock after every fight you will never need to grind for money because you will be overflowing in it from exploring Tartarus normally, unless you go out of the way to buy the expensive custom costumes.
>watching playthroughs instead of emulating and playing yourself
Another situation is this:
>2 enemies weak to ice, 2 weak to fire
>fire-weaks are now down
>cast maragi again
>fire-weaks are now dizzy
>skip turn, next teammate.
>magaru, it doesn't need to be ice because they're all already damaged enough to be killed by garu.
In practice the second is easier I guess. But spamming skills wastes alot of SP. Then you have to use the Dr soda and get some of it back or pay the jew fox. FES you can spam and not give a shit because you get a free full heal when you go back to the first floor.
>spamming skills wastes alot of SP
Good thing P3P comes with a clock that will give it all back to you and also showers you in money so that you will never be too broke to pay it.
Like I said i'm only on the first tartarus boss, I haven't really gotten into it but the birds getting up and getting a free turn off Junpei is giving me way more trouble than FES ever did.
>P3P also doesn't have the free full heal FES had
And you don't get tired in P3P either, you can go back and they are perfectly fine to go back, when in FES you go back and your teammates leave
In P3P you can heal and go back to the last floor you were, and in FES you need to use the teleporter and reach the closest to the last floor
Read above, you can't go back without having to pass through 10 floors you already passed through
Then why are you complaining FES is easier if you haven't even played P3P well?
You can EMULATE FOR FREEEEEEE
The only time I got tired in FES was like the first two months. I usually try to do all the grinding I need in one night too, so that's not even an issue in FES. And if you played the game right you would reach that boss floor, go back if need to, and fight him, or grind if need to.
Because based on my experience it is?
Then they get up and knock me the fuck out. I have FeMC on heal and Junpei on block to try and stop it, doesn't work.
Either that or she misses.
Tartarus is much harder to do on FES because of the teleportation and getting tired
You have to make constant visits to tartarus to get to the barrier
With P3P you can do it in a single day without trouble
In P3P you can easily leave and come back to the same floor
What experience? You haven't even passed the first fucking boss in P3P
she is trash, thats why fanart of her is so hard to find
I am making a mocking statement at this "P3P is harder than FES" guy on the basis that he's hit a very early boss that's giving him trouble and is judging the entire game's difficulty on that.
Ah but see, if this was FES I wouldn't have had any problem because of the knock-down mechanic.
Maybe in the first month Tartarus is harder, Even then I only got tired enough like one time.
>You have to make constant visits to tartarus to get to the barrier
I don't want to be that guy but come on.
>With P3P you can do it in a single day without trouble
>In P3P you can easily leave and come back to the same floor
I'll admit that yeah.
>What experience? You haven't even passed the first fucking boss in P3P
Come on now, if you don't think I know what to expect after playing basically every persona out there, you are a stupid man.
Because "You haven't even passed the first fucking boss of P3P" struck me as summing up the stupidity of this guy's argument and I was dovetailing off it.
You know what, never mind, let's just forget this exchange ever happened.
>if this was FES I wouldn't have had any problem because of the knock-down mechanic
Except for the fact that you can control Yukari and tell her who to attack
While in FES she attacks one and keeps going without knocking down the others
> if you don't think I know what to expect after playing basically every persona out there, you are a stupid man
Oh, so I'M the stupid one for telling you you can't judge or criticize the game for not even beating the first boss yet?
You're a fucking idiot
>Except for the fact that you can control Yukari and tell her who to attack
Or do you not get knock-down that early.
>Oh, so I'M the stupid one for telling you you can't judge or criticize the game for not even beating the first boss yet?
Considering i've already beaten FES, yes.
I wasn't too sure how to set that up most of my friends are shitters and don't know how to do that shit.
I loved P3 a lot honestly. One thing I prefer about P4 is every boss battle has a huge impact. In P3, it was just oh, okay, one more enemy down wait for the next full moon until Nyx descends. However, I do like how P3 felt more dramatic over P4. Overall, it was great but I wish they made the ending a little more clear. At first I was just interpreted it has Minato passing out but then I realized he isn't and well...Yeah.
You don't get knock down that early in the game, fuckhead
>considering I've beaten FES
But P3P has different mechanics that change the gameplay drastically
God damn, you're retarded
Even then I didn't have trouble with this guy because FES lets the protag use all weapons. P3P doesn't.
>But P3P has different mechanics that change the gameplay drastically
No, it changes it to P4's gameplay. You should just go back to /v/.
>FES lets the protag use all weapons.
I really liked this. With that everything I needed the rest of the party was to heal and act as bait so shadows had someone else to attack. You could handle everything with MC easily.
In fact I played P3P first and then FES and I found FES way easier.
>no the gameplay doesn't change, it only changes
>go back to /v/
I'm done with you
You could emulate unless you're a lazy bum
I'm debating on getting persona 1 or not. is it good enough or should i skip it?
What he's basically saying is I don't know what to expect from P3P when i've played every persona game out there except regular P3 because FES is basically regular P3 but with more.
Agree with ya dude.
I just noticed all your images start with 142 and none of em even seem to be persona related that's why i'm assuming your from /v/.
I'd say just rush through so you know more about some of your team in P2. P2 will be more of the same though, so maybe they aren't for you which is okay.
>tfw you wanted to plow Mitsurugi's red carpet student council puss
>maxed smarts by July 4th, paying little attention to other Social Links
>she still says no
>apparently I gotta wait until November 21
I did get like 5 ranks with Chihiro though, now I gotta choose if I make her my cocksleeve for the next 4.5 months or just bro it up with Kaz and muh boiz until then
P1P is great fun.
Its just not nearly as good as 2 is
>Go back to being friends
Well, you could say that
You're not supposed to max all S.Links, just choose a few you like and max them
Then when you finish the game, you can replay with your stats and do all the ones you missed
The game was made that way
If he shaved his beard all that would be left is his asian girl haircut.
Those are a myth, and if they do exist I'm sure they're like angels.
>Troy will never come back to do Kanji.
It hurts. I wonder if Nolan will ever voice anyone in the series...
I started playing P1 is there any reason the MC gets a shit ton more exp compared to everyone else? is it because I've been dumping my points into dex and nothing else?
If I were a better at photoshop, I'd edit that to say Android 18, Z Fighter.
Non shared exp. You have to be careful and let the others attack. So let Piercy guard from time to time. Ma-spells give you lots of exp. As do the buffs and healing. So if one character does that, they get good exp. Be sure to use your personas.
Read the guide as well.
I wish FeMC had her own game, rather than alternate character. I really do like her, but she isn't canon in the main universe.
All we need is Atlus to remake 4 now with a FeMC and we can have the FeMC universe, and it will all be canon :))))
Considering that EP is already a canon alternate timeline, I do not see why not.
It doesn't fuck with main canon story, and appeals to a bunch of other faggots, and fills Atlus' pockets as they re-re-release Persona 4
I'm Playing through the answer. I'm about to meet the mysterious black shadow. i know what comes next but will having my companions optimally equipped make things harder for me in the future?
You know I'm honestly surprised that FeMC isn't at least referenced in PQ. Something like Shinji or Theodore describing their dream woman and it's an exact description of FeMC or whatever.
Is there any point in changing the initial personas you get in P2IS? because the new ones that uncle phil gave me are sucking me dry and doesn't seems to be any stronger than the initial personas.
the last time there was a persona collaboration with some restaurant a few months ago, they had FeMC artwork on the drink glasses
they've alluded to her more recently than P1/2
>Igor isn't going to be in P5
He started his journey last night, right now he's reaching out to the truth.
His VA died before P3 too didn't he? They replaced him then I don't see why they won't now besides you thinking you know better.
>/smtg/ calls us quarantine general while they drown in shitposting and death
Loving every laugh
>I think that is more out of respect since a good chunk of the creative leads don't work for atlus anymore
Pretty much. Hashino basically has said, I believe, that since he didn't direct 1/2 he doesn't want to touch someone else's work.
You can always rectify that mistake when P5 comes out. Spread it to every board and ever twitch chat. If you can spoil me in a twitch chat i'd be surprised because i'm not coming here when it's out.
No, it just isn't as satisfying as being hailed as a fortune teller for spoilers.
Am I the only one who saves the "i have inside connections and this is the plot to the next big upcoming vidya" posts? I always laugh at how hilariously off base a lot of their shit is, even when some details are actually on point. Some of them even try to play it off as "the english release won't be exactly like this because lolcensorship"
To be fair, every general in a quarantine.
>In P5, Potter is the red man.
>mfw /smtg/ dies
>mfw they are assimilated into us
>classic Persona shitposting commences.
Its an abstract kind of feel.
Well yeah I know that, but why is it so hard to mention the past games, or at least to acknowledge them?
I mean fuck Arena really seemed to tease the prospect of the old crew working with the P3 bros.
Im sure its just a temporary thing, when they announce SMTxFE they will surely get a rise in quality
>when they announce SMTxFE
You could save yourself some words and just say 'never'.
Again, it seems to be a respect thing. Keeping the works separate. I can sort of see it. It's not like the dumb "Atlus hates those games and you for liking them" morons put it, but you really need to just stop expecting anything. It was made pretty clear.
Anon the rumors have to be semi-believable to come true
>Again, it seems to be a respect thing.
You mean like how he uses plots from the older games and parades them as his own. Yeah respect my ass. PQ was Maki's story and you know it.
And that's what he's probably banking on: that newcomers or P3/4 only players not catching those details.
Ultimax seemed to be copying concepts from EP and surprise, it was Not-Nyarly in an Eva suit.
The Eva joke is stretch, it really doesnt look that much like Unit 01
To be fair, this is Persona. The entire series' premise is based on shadows, personas, and bonds. Every story in the end is going to somehow revolve around those three things and a person's inner demons.
I mean, let's face it. P5 is going to still be a MT game. In the end, people will face their personal demons, learn about bonds and the human potential, and then they'll punch out a god that talks down to humans.
>not singing Cruel Angel's Thesis during the fight against Kagutsuchi
Quick, you need to encourage them so that they can escape.
The point is gap moe.
