I want to start Purse Owner 1 on PSP. I glanced at the guides in the OP and it suggests that you pick your party early on. What party members do you recommend for a first playthrough? Depends on what you are looking for in terms of interesting characters. In P1, Maki and Nanjo get development. Everyone else is there for the ride. Though I suppose if you want to get some laughs you choose Ayase. A qt waifu would be Eriko. A tough guy would be Reiji (canon to SEBEC). And the joking loser is Brown.

You get to choose 1 party member in the normal SEBEC route.
Elly, Ayase, Reiji, or Brown.

Brown is easily the most boring, skip him.
Ayase is funny and cute, but doesnt have that much to add.
Reiji is considered a secret character, look up a guide if you want to use him. He'll show up in the story regardless though.
Elly is Mitsuru Mk. I, and is overpowered as well. Probably the one you want.
