I mean I know what you're trying to say, but there's a gap between trying to keep a vaguely serious detective story going while also trying to show that the main character is totally secure about being a girl because she can be fanservice and flirt. How the hell is naoto of all people successfully flirting info out of a random guy? Did she just magically learn how how to do it after she grew her hair out? I can buy some pretty outrageous shit, but you have to sell it first.

I guess I'm just bitter because in theory I'd be interested with a story where Naoto solves a crime without being stuck in persona 4's narrative where characters can't do anything until Yu is in the room, but pxdn feels like it's more focused on the stories of the side characters (and fanservice) than the (stupid) crime itself. It's fitting that Naoto's persona changes so that it does fuck all but stand around and make other characters more important. And pxdn fails to sell me on Sousei or Touko, so I can't care about it.

I don't think that's fair. Naoto was following Touko's instructions, it wasn't a natural skill. Also she's like a third year by that point.

And the crime was pretty cool, actually. The method was interesting and Touko makes for a good antagonist who was relatable. Sousei was the opposite of what I thought he would be and I really like his character.

I just realized a way for atlus to keep milking that persona 3 and 4 train. An SRPG that throws the shadow operatives back into their persona 3 bodies,snatches Makoto,Shinjiro,Chidori and Metis from the past and puts in the investigation team post dancing all night. Sense atlus loves to make persona spin offs canon Persona 5 characters will be in as well. Now all it needs is some kinda god or goddess that can make that kinda shit happen.

Teddie actually notably changes throughout the story. For the first couple trips into the TV world, Teddie is really reserved and slowly opens up. Him ending up annoying or his voice being annoying is completely secondary.

Yukiko is boring but what do you expect from someone who works at what people consider to be the one selling point of their entire town? She was even on TV for it, having been broadcasted that she was to be the manager and something as serious as a murder "taking place" there. Acts mature because that's what her life is.

He's not submissive per se, but he's at heart a bit of a defensive, motherly type who would make a good house-husband.
