Never going away. So far, I really like the stuff between Chloe and Rachel, I can definitely see why Chloe got so enamored with Rachel. As well as why others did as well.
It's just I expect the next two episodes to get even darker and for there to be a point where Rachel hits a plateau with her feelings for Chloe.
Where we start to see how things between them reached the friendly but confused state Chloe describes in S1. One where there's definitely a love there, but where both girls have their idea of what that love is.

Also BtS does nothing to change what Max does for Chloe once she comes back. Rachel still lied to Chloe (Which is starting to seem like an even more boneheaded decision on Rachel's part) and Max still saved Chloe. If Rachel did cause the storm then that also forms a link to Rachel and Max where Rachel, even from beyond the grave, was trying to help Chloe and see her be happy.

Why did Max gets increasingly specific visions of the storm where in one Rachel's doe was looking at her. Why did Rachel's doe appear in the nightmare when Max was feeling lost, guiding her to the bathroom where she first saved Chloe?
If anything, the storm was created by accident since Rachel couldn't control her power or because a bunch of energy was released when she died.

Rachel's trying to get justice for herself, for the others effected by Jefferson and Nathan, and trying to help her friend escape a terrible end and find happiness with the person she always wanted.

I actually feel a little better about that now. Originally I didn't like "Max Amber" very much. And I still prefer Max in her own clothes and style, but I don't think Rachel would have a problem if Max borrowed a shirt.

Also I'm convinced now that Max going back and saving Rachel would fix just about every problem that happened after Max moved away.

I haven't been part of this conversation, but here's the thing about Rachel being the storm. If she caused the storm in response to Max saving Chloe, then it means she wanted Chloe to die. Was she trying to kill Chloe so they could be together in the afterlife?
If so, fuck her for letting Chloe get killed alone in that bathroom before getting a chance to talk to Max, redeem herself to her mom, make peace with David, etc, and fuck her for vindictively destroying the town when she was denied Chloe's death.

So the second ep preview (Chloe holding back her door) is the same regardless if you took the money or not? Also I'm incredibly excited to see where the choices go forward in the next two episodes since D9 seems to have listened to that criticism from the original game. I watched a couple streams and even the minor changes in people's dialog and actions makes every choice worth it. They really put a lot of love into this game.

Also, can you access the area around the dorms from the courtyard? I was so interested in what was going on story wise I forgot to get all the graffiti spots in my first playthrough.

I'll bite.

Yeah, I am, because from everything we experiance as Max, Chloe seems like she had something out to get her, but other than a hairbrained theory from Warren we have no good reason to think Chloe dying back in the bathroom will stop the storm coming. Before you ever save her, you can rewind time and alter things to your hearts desire, and already had a fucking VISION of the storm coming. Even if you suspect Warren is right, it's still a massive leap to go through everything Max has, with the sole purpose of saving Chloe, to let her die on a throw of the dice.

Further, before the storm actually hits, you only have some idea (due to the prior scenes of getting to Chloe with the sole aim of saving her) of the sort of damage the storm will do, and no idea who if anyone will die this time around, or any knowledge of the aftermath (which actually turns out to be pretty mild, with the diner intact this time, if you save Chloe), and are only chosing to simply let be what will be.

Going back in time that last time is abusing her powers one last time, on a hopeful gamble (that, granted, from a meta perspective we know pays off... at least for the duration of the ending), rather than just dealing with the cards delt.

Plus, after playing as Chloe for three episodes, I suspect attachment will make many people who start with BtS choose Bae due to attachment to a main character. A lot of people didn't actually like Chloe all that much in LiS originally, especially if they only played the game without stopping and looking at all the details.

Have you guys really liked the game? In the original one we had a lot of mysteries going on and that was more than enough motivation to want to explore and find out ... but here, what's the fucking mystery? Who Rachel's dad mistress is?
I like that we get to spend more time in Arcadia Bay, and they did great with Rachel characterization but that's about it... Chloe's boring going on and on about David, who we already know from the first game, isn't a bad guy at all.

I see it as the other way around. Rachel created the storm as revenge for the way she died in Arcadia Bay and that she never got to live out her dreams, and wants Chloe to be happy. She destroyed the town so Chloe could finally leave with Max in Rachel's place, and they could leave together with nothing holding them back.

I think this is actually kind of a fair point and not in the Toby "Ignore game evidence if it contradicts what you want" kind of way. They're saying Life is Strange not just their story, this is their own vision of what happened before the original and there will still be blanks left in the story. It's also why alt. Max makes no mention of any power but the storm is still coming. The storm is always coming but in the alt. timeline, Rachel and Chloe never met and so Rachel has no reason to want to protect Chloe or to know who Max is. DONTNOD never really did prove what caused the storm. They only offered different suggestions.
Sure, you can say they intended it to specifically be Max's power and Chloe's surviving meeting Nathan that caused it, but with what's actually in the game that's shown to not be the case.
Deck Nine doing anything with Rachel wouldn't really be a retcon, just an explanation to a previously unknown. It could even be justified by saying in the Bay Ending that Chloe dying means her spirit meets Rachel's and together they can stop the storm. Though that's still not a good ending since Max would never let Chloe get hurt or die like that.
Besides, if Chloe was meant to die or Rachel wanted her dead to help her then Max wouldn't have gotten a power (seemingly from Rachel) in the first place.

No, that one Anon is insisting Chloe and Rachel were in a relationship and that BtS can just change whatever it wants and then that's suddenly the new canon regardless of Season 1.
I wouldn't have a problem if it said they were together at some point, but that's not how the original presents it and so the prequel should not go that direction. If they do, then it looks damning to both the characters of Rachel and Chloe because then it shows they both cheated on each other.

If BtS shows something starting to develop between the two of them then it also needs to show it end or stop in a position that's not really definitive. In the original game, Chloe clearly has feelings for Rachel but she is also confused about what they are. Frank is jealous of Chloe getting to spend so much time with Rachel, but he was the one that Rachel was romantically involved with and that had been going on for some time. Chloe ever asked Rachel at one point and she said she wasn't sleeping with Frank (When she was)
The only way to justify it all would be to say "Chloe would be okay with an open relationship" which is absolute garbage that contradicts every bit of who Chloe is.

So you can have it one of two ways:
1. Chloe and Rachel have a one-sided romance with Chloe wanting more and Rachel realizing that (but not wanting to lie about it) and trying to tiptoe around it and play a balancing game.
2. Chloe and Rachel do get together and are girlfriends, only for both of them to unfaithful. This would reflect very badly on the both of them and is not at all who Chloe is.
