I saw Larry "Pixy" Foulke at a Barnes & Noble in Sudentor yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Skittles in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the Skittles and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each one and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I actually do this on ground missions. Sweet Ion Torpedo.

Those DS missions in space are fighter-only though. Worst of all, it's damn cool because there's a fighter stage, then the rebels land and there's a regular shooting phase then the trench run given the rebel side manages to survive long enough. But it feels that just like Infinity only complete novices and veteran players are around so matches are incredibly unbalanced.

I am going to back up a bit and explain what "sensor fusion" is, not because I think you're stupid and need it to be explained, but because it helps me get my thoughts in order, makes sure the two of us are on the same page, and the people following along at home might want to know.

The basic concept of "sensor fusion" is to take information from various forces and form an amalgamation of that information. "Sensors" that could be "fused" include radar, IRST, optics, RWR, ESM, and so on. Basically anything the aircraft can use to detect the outside world is a sensor.

The fusion comes from the amalgamation of this data into one presentable source to the pilot. This is where the differences between 4th gen and 5th gen really comes into play. 4th gen aircraft correlate data, 5th gen aircraft fuse it.

On a 4th gen aircraft, life the typhoon or Rafale, all the various sensors will be operating interdependently with their output fused. So let's use the radar for example, that detects something, it analyzes all the data and variables, and it generates a track. Then you have the IRST, which again, analyzes all the information that it can detect, and then generates its own track. At the same time, the RWR detects an enemy radar. Once again, that instrument takes all the data it can detect, does some computer mumbo jumbo, and presents the pilot with a track. In a pre sensor fusion 4th gen aircraft, the pilot would now have 3 pieces of information to work with. In a sensor fused 4th gen aircraft, the fusion computer thingy then considers these 3 tracks, and then selects the 'best' track. So if the target pops chaff and suddenly the radar is confused, it will 'ignore' the radar, and rely on IRST or ESM. Whatever. Obviously a big step forward and makes it easier on the pilot.

With the F-35, your instruments aren't generating their own tracks. All available information that the plane detects, and all information it can acquire from AWACS, nearby ships, and other F-35s in real time is fed into the fusion computer. From all this raw data from all these different sources, the F-35 is then able to generate and display an inherently more accurate and total picture of its environment. Instead of working with ~5 points of data, the F-35 has thousands of points of data, both onboard and off, that allows for extreme precision in detection and engagement. A track that a 4th gen aircraft might ignore because it's not the best, might contain information that can be combined with information from another sensor on an F-35 (or another F-35) and then from that, a firing solution can be generated.

You can see how they are very similar in function. Fundamentally, they are the same. However, the way they are carried out, and the quality of the final product is quite different. The sensor suites on the Rafale and Typhoon are by no means bad, the F-35 simply benefits from advances in technology and computing to do it better.

I've been meaning to ask but are there still any F-15s being used these days? I could've sworn I've been seeing some flying around southeast Virginia lately, like the Langley area. Usually it's only F-22s or (what I'm pretty sure are) F-5s doing training runs. If you're in the southside area you'll probably see more F-18s from out of Oceana, but on a few occasions over the last month or so I've seen fighters that I'm pretty sure were Eagles. Just wondering if anyone had any insight on the matter.

As in, well edited. Flows well, doesnt linger too long on extraneous details and get caught up. You just drop the important bits and good detail to get into the scene and then move ahead.
Conversation felt natural mostly, some of the innuendo felt a little bit forced. But then since this is going for lewd down the line, that's not surprising.
