Off light parry you can fast flow into offensive stance and get a free unblockable int the direction of the parry, on an assassin you get a free defensive heavy in the direction of the parry. Off a heavy parry you can unlock and gb, that will give your gb tracking, that'll be fixed soon aswell so you won't have to unlock whenever you gb. Off you gb you can zone or get a wall splat into a top heavy confirmed, you have to switch to top stance as you put in the throw input to switch stance before you let him go.

The trick against Raiders as a Warden is after landing an SB -> double side light, you go into CHAINED TOP HEAVY

This gives you the option of cancelling it to parry or cancelling it to crush their counter or cancelling it to parry

Doesn't work with the SB followup, since you're not gonna be in position to crush their counter, one SB -> double side light is good enough to see what their reaction is - if it's a roll out, then you have the option to fuck them in the mouth with a chained heavy unless they're schooled up on the ultimate evasive technique: UNLOCKED ROLL

so fun fact, Kensei is literally unbeatable as Lawbringer

they dash forward and guard break, nothing you can do is fast enough to stop it. Top lighting gets blocked and you get guard broken. They can counter gaurd break. Trying to shove gets you gaurd broken. There is literally nothing you can do but predict it and hope you can get a light attack in and they don't parry it.

If you see them going for the top unblockable into mixup, try to sense a pattern, if they always soft feint go for the parry next time, if they always hard feint or go through with it then love tap them with top light.

I have never been GB'd out of Long Arm and I have a rep 5 Law. I don't think the second GB even comes out fast enough. IDK maybe I need to do some testing but I've never encountered the problems you describe.

Maille armor is as heavy and more cumbersome than (expensive) plate armor anon. Munitions plate would be as cumbersome as a maille hauberk, sure, but that was the cheap mass produced stuff.

The Warden's hauberk is meant to be worn with partial plate though (and is clearly combined with an aketon or even a coat-of-plates in some torso pieces) so it would actually be lighter, unlike a hauberk from before the age-of-plate armor

After finally trying gladiator for the first time last night, I can safely say that anybody that says they have fun playing him is a liar.

Blocks that last for less time than a heavy attack, unsafe dash attacks, reactable as fuck CC moves that anybody paying attention will always dodge. He doesn't do ANYTHING better than the assassins we already have or better than Valk. He's just low-tier garbage, barely above bottom-tier.

My only in depth character concept is a Hybrid (could be modified to be a heavy instead) that uses a maul and he can decide whether to one hand on the fly, not like Highlanders swapping though. While one handing they would play a bit like a much slower Cent, but while two handing sort of like a lawbringer. Not a true copy or rip off of either of them though. And when I say "play like" I just mean basic combos and maybe visual, not all of their niche abilities and shit. Definitely more aggressive than a law and with less stamina theft than a Cent.
Visual design I think something between warden and Lawbringer. Full plate but not as heavy duty as law, maybe some inspiration from the higher level cleaner sets of Conq.

If he were to be a heavy instead of a hybrid then the 1/2 hand swapping wouldn't be a full stance change but rather just an animation flavor, lights are one handed and heavies are two handed. Maybe lights following heavies would remain one handed for the duration of a single chain or about 2 swings.
Combat wise I don't really know how to make it work as a heavy, I guess give him quick recovery after getting hit/stunned.

It's still something I'm playing around with in my head but doesn't really matter since we'll never actually see it, you know?
