Public match is a fucking mistake. Finding an actually good game is so fucking seldom it's unbelievable. Lobbies are alright most of the time but Quick Play is worse than Ranked.

Is it just me or is Kazumi's tiger uppercut a bit shit?
It's - billion on block and whiff and if you manage to hit it, it's harder to get good damage out of it than from her other launchers.
It has a good animation, in both that it's cool looking and the high crushing swing at the start is good. But still it seems like extremely high risk, low reward move comparably.

In a single player game, as long as you succeed you succeed. You can hit your head against the wall thousands of times, but eventually it will break. (Wall, not head). And once you succeed one time, it's enough, you can proceed and pretend you are better now.
In Tekken (and fighting games generally) if you learn to block one thing and beat one person one time after losing 200 times for them before it, you are still shitter that sucks infinite assess that lost 200 times to person who is still objectively shitty at the game.
And when you keep playing they evolve faster because they are not a brain dead fucking idiot, so you start collecting new losses.

It's just impossible to feel like I'm doing well in this game.

The main things you want to know is :

unsafe stuff. So anything -10 and worse. You want to be able to recognise these moves and punish them every time.

Plus on block. You need to know what these look like so you don't get unga'd. Need to know when to stop pressing buttons.

Anything 0 on block. Basically a start of round situation almost.

At this point you can move on and if you don't recognise a move it is probably -1 to -9 and you can start your offense.

But if you want to get in depth look for any safe move that ends in a high and learn to duck it and ws punish.

You can also test out sidestepping against their jabs when you are -1/-2/-3 on block to see if you can sidestep right or left and punish them.

Takes time but can make it more fun by just messing around with the character and doing their gimmicky shit in ranked to recognise it and see how other people punish it.

Oh and strings with lows in them are super imporant to recognise and low parry/block. Sometimes you can fuzzy guard them if they end with a mid/low mixup if the mid and low are different speed followups.

e.g. a 1,2,1 / 1,2,3 for bryan you can block and then low parry late in such a timing where you will block the mid ender and low parry the slower low ender. Also ducks the 1,2,4 high ender.
