There are a couple of things Mask does better, and I did enjoy both, but said things are pretty minor and Dawn is an overall much better experience

If I were making recommendations to a hardcore retrofag, I'd without hesitation just tell them to play both
Hell, the moving background in Iris Tower is kino enough all by itself

Nah, the Ys IV J.D.K. Specials contain the original source of the music done with the PC-98 soundchip. It's what Falcom gave to Hudson and Tonkin House to make their versions instead. The FM bass really makes some of my favourite tracks stand out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV1ZW6604X8

So one thing i never got. I know that when you select a spell, you get to see how long the delay is going to be, same for attacks, moving or crafts. But what is the delay post cast? Is there any way to see that one?

You guys are comparing both voices to the same text though. And the english one is obviously more embellished and funny/snarky. So the jp voices are probably better because they were chosen for the jp text and depending on the character and changes the english are good too for the english text.

The had some taxes and hardship, yeah, but that's tempoary and probably in Crow's mind better in the long run if it end with Osborne and Cayenne out. Class 7 sure as hell didn't have an easy time in the war, but it ended up giving them strength and opertunities they'd not have had otherwise if they just had another year and half of happy school funtime even if it would have been more plesant for them.

I just finished Chapter 2 of Zero.

I think that the game expected you to figure out that Rixia was Yin but I don't know when they expect you to figure it out. Her reveal at the end is very nonchalant so I guess I wasn't meant to be a surprise - which it wasn't anyway because I played Cold Steel 2 first.
It certainly does a good job of tying this chapter up though and explaining why Rixia came to the SSS to begin with since she would obviously know the letter was serious but not actually from Yin.
I wonder how this would have played out if I had absolutely no idea about Rixia going in.
