thank you, that's gotta be it. i did just morph it and add it to my stealth suit bar. it's not on any of my bow bars, and the bow got all swirly a couple times, but that could easily just have been a glitch from swapping weapons too quickly or something.

The sub is very much optional. What it offers if nice and all, I mean i'm a sub myself, but you can purchase the dlcs straight up and not have an issue. Otherwise it's mostly convenience stuff and some crowns.

The craft bag is something of note however, but t b h it's not needed if you use your alts as pack mules, don't craft, or craft of different characters. Again it's very nice to have but you don't need it at all. ESO is overall a very welcoming game for those who don't want to sub.

Nah, it does provide a 10% boost to all xp gain for as long as you're subbed but that's it in terms of xp. Doesn't make that much of a difference imo, you'll still get to 50 and then aquire champ points at roughly the same speed as a a sub would.

There ARE items that can give you plus 50, 100 or even 150% (I think) xp gain for an hour or two after being used, but those items can either be aquired through crafting or trading with other players if you don't want to purchase any xp boost scrolls using real money. They also run events every so often that boost xp gain for all players, in october we're supposed ro be getting the witches festival which will (among other things) provide a pretty substantial xp boost to all during the event.

A word of advice however: Don't worry so mucn about your level. This game has a good endgame yes, but the questing and leveling experience is very fun too, and you'll end up getting to 50 soon enough anyway (depending on how often you play). There's also a level scaling system in place meaning you can experience pretty much whatever you want whenever you want, and you can play seamlessly with differnt level players aswell. It's all quite nice really.

ah, and trait research rates. traits are item, er, traits, that you learn by sacrificing items with said traits and your trait COUNT is used to determine which set items you can craft. this shit is not important to you right now. it's very immersive. I avoided looking up any guides or videos and just made a character concept I liked and started exploring and questing. it took me a long while before I recognized the building blocks and repeating elements, and for the first three months I successfully pretended I was playing a single-player elder scrolls game.

talk to every NPC, read every note and book, don't install spoiler addons until it's no longer about discovery but getting alts up to speed. nowadays I install addons that point out lorebooks, skyshards and points of interest on the map, but back at start it was fun just trying to decipher missed skyshard places from achievement descriptions. discovering alchemy reagent properties by keeping a notebook of what reagent combinations have I already tried and if it had any effect or not.

Right now I'm playing Dragon Knight intending to be a tank. Should I be putting points into Earthen Heart, or are the other two good as well?

Reminder to kick non-dk tanks, non-templar healers and non-sorc dps (in other words, always kick nightblades).

I posted last night but fell asleep before I could get some advice. I'm thinking about a Monk character for a Skyrim playthrough and I'm not sure how to do it. I'm referring more to the Kung Fu tropey version, not the bow wielding Elder Scrolls version.

Light armor, exotic weapons only, stoneskin to mimic the tough skinned monk trope, fireball to mimic the "Hadouken inner energy blast trope", etc.

Perhaps even limiting the gold she can have and no marriage, etc relating to the Monk idea of no worldly possessions.

Any other suggestions? I'd love some outside help.

you'll also want to go through all keybindings, some are very clunky and some not mapped at all. for example, Synergy is a very useful to activate (when someone nearby uses an ability that you can tap into, but also a mechanic for some bosses), but it's a pain to quickly reach when it pops up at default (main abilities go 1-5, so 0 is my default choice for it, or whatever is to the left of 1 if your layout is different). weapon swapping also uses an asinine key, Tab is better for it. autorun is not mapped (numpad *), run/walk toggle is inconvenient (numpad -), addons with options are what I map to numpad number keys. there are times when the interface craps out, so having /reloadui have a button is convenient.

Some skills that when you level them up to 4 and get a chance to morph them can be morphed from a stamina to a magicka skill or a magicka to a stamina skill. If you are running a stamina build then you may need to run a magicka skill enough to morph it to a stamina skill. Something else to keep in mind, if its a buff, it doesn't matter. For example, if you are a stamina build you may still want to keep ritual on your bar for some dungeons to help cleanse effects, even though its a magicka skill.

most quests are instance so you will both be talking to the same person and doing the same things, but for just overworld dungeon or bosses you can easily go side by side, especially with level scaling so you don't need to worry that you are 10 levels above/below them.
magsorc is still best dps in game, magblade is really fun and has great sustain both health and magick, not much on templar but they have some fun skills.
magick based classes generally use fire/lightning staves in pve content and can stay at range and shield, stamina classes use a bow for damage over time and are upfront so more reactive gameplay
melee sorc is strong in both pve and pvp because of their skills like healing and restoring stamina with magicka
any race can be any role you lose maybe 10% max stats and some random groups are filled with statjerking elitists so don't expect everyone being nice
battlegrounds is fun and definitely worth it if you enjoy small scale pvp, if you are unsure and don't mind missing out on a little content for now you can always wait for a deeper sale or when you have the money.

It depends on the MMO. FF14 lets you swap between NA and EU servers but characters are seperate. You can transfer from EU to NA for a fee though. WoW on the other hand has EU and NA copies of the game. You can have an EU copy of the game and 10 characters and if you want to switch to NA you need to buy a whole new copy and start over completely.

Yes. You can preview absolutely everything in-game before you but it from the crownstore. And depends on your autism but it took me around 2 weeks. The last 10 lvls (from 40 to 50) I didn't even quest at all, I just explored and fucked around as you would with a TES game and had a blast. If you want to lvl up quick I recommend doing Random Normal Dungeons since they are not only good exp but very different from other MMOs

What's happening with me right now is that I bought it on Steam and it's 62.8GB total. I just finished installing that and after that, it opens up another installation splash screen for Morrowind and then it asks for ANOTHER 86 gigs.

what I would recommend, if you haven't already done so, is make a SteamLibrary folder under c:\ (or whatever drive you use for games) and install there, a lot of trouble seems avoidable if you install into a folder where you as a user have full permissions instead of a privileged location like Program Files. I have eso installed under c:\zenimax as I didn't buy on steam.
