What, my experiences with New York? Nessi's been there way more I'm sure.

I've stayed mostly in Queens, mostly in Flushing and that area, both a more well-to-do area, and a more poor one. I've also stayed in Manhattan around china town, and Brooklyn, honestly I forget where in Brooklyn. I've been through a lot of those three boroughs, never been to the Bronx or Staten Island, but who gives a shit about them.

Very noisy, busy, dirty, gum stains on the sidewalks literally everywhere, I'm normally there in the summer (also been in the winter, around january) when it's oppressively hot, heat radiating from all the concrete. Demographics wise it's way more asian than I'd imagined, I thought culturally it would be a lot more balanced but it felt like almost everywhere I was it was at least 70% asian, often closer to 90%.

I can see why most of that would be bad for most people, but aside from the heat I really liked all of it. I like more grungy cities, I'm really into asian stuff (my top 3 cities I want to go to in the world are Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai), I love the noise, I love the energy of the place. Literally every time I go there I just feel so much more alive than anywhere else. It just clicks with me. And not just the nice, exciting parts of manhattan, even the shittiest parts of Queens, I just feel so much more energized and at home there. After 3 days there I felt like I had lived there my whole life, something just feels 'right' there.

There are other places I thought were more fun to visit, but no where have I ever felt at home or wanted to live even a quarter as much as New York.

I live in queens, I have a bunch of buddies in Flushing, or rather near it. All spanish, also the food tastes nice at spanish restaurants. Manhattan is amazing, brooklyn is poor and is where I've gone to college so I took the train on a daily basis, the B/Q trains are nice, comfy, quick and usually on schedule. Bronx is pretty alright depending on the area, either you're in some hood rat projects that is just like brooklyn all over again, or you have something beautiful almost identical to a park in Queens or Manhattan. Staten Island should be part of NJ, it doesn't feel like NYC at all, also it is an island on its own, with only one bridge between itself and actual NYC.

Flushing and Manhattans Chinatown are literally pure asians, brooklyn also has a bunch of asians here and there.

The weather isn't as bipolar as shitty NC. Sure you have your hot days and your cold days, but they don't last a whole lot. You can visit pools or the beaches if you want during the hotter days.

I really miss the NYC transit, the amount of trains and buses that can get you anywhere and everywhere. Also, the fact that everything is close by, or a bike ride away.

Honestly at Cherry Point the weather isn't even quite as bad as where I am, you're closer to the water and get more of a breeze. Go 20 minutes inland and it gets measurably worse. The humidity is fucking awful.

I don't like the winters in NC either, I much prefer the colder ones in NY. I do extremely well in the cold, but I can't take the heat, especially humidity.

Hey, wondering though, have you ever been out to the outer banks? It's hands down my favorite part of eastern north carolina, and something I definitely miss. At the very least, if you haven't already, I highly highly reccomend going down to the morehead area and checking out the Cape Lookout Lighthouse and Ft Macon. Both were way cooler than I expected. The boat ride to the lighthouse is nice, seeing it is cool, and Ft Macon was so much cooler than I expected it to be. A lot of the islands there have wild horses too which are neat to see.

I was at Campo Lejeune, it sucked, the humidity was horrible last year, on top of that we had a hurricane (matthews? iirc) we did training under it and many people passed out, i had trouble breathing. For winter I spent it at NAS Pensacola, so I had it hot.

Fuck, didn't mention clothing, we need a MUCH better clothing system than there currently is. I know that the currentgen clothes are better than the deadgen ones, but it really sucks. More jackets need to be compatible with more shirts, things like ties/belts/ things like that. We need different styles of wearing clothes, sleeves rolled up/down, shirts tucked/untucked, that sort of thing. Just a much better system than what we currently have.

On a similar note, we better have a level of detail and customization with all the cars that we have for the new DLC ones. They got better and better with that during V's life, and the old cars all look awful on the inside now in comparison. And they lack customization so badly, the current level we have really needs to be the standard in VI.

the heavy sniper mk 2? nothing too bad assuming you aren't a jet pilot. the explosive shells (despite being the second weakest explosive in the game behind the valkyrie's cannon) can take out a jet in 2-3 shots. the thermal scope is a must-have for ground combat, especially if you like taking people by surprise. suppressor is nothing special but it's nice considering the original heavy sniper never had that option

Any car with downforce got nerfed. It used to be that spoilers didn't matter on cars with downforce. Now spoilers do matter, but they don't apply as much traction as on non-downforce cars, and downforce itself has been majorly decreased.

This is primarily bad for the RE-7B, Tyrus, Itali GTB, and ETR1 in supers. I might be forgetting one or two.

As for what's good, the Nero Custom is probably your best bet. The X80 performs similarly but is harder to drive. The Zentorno, Tempesta, XA-21, and Vagner are also really good, doing exceptionally well in the corners, but not having the top speed of say, the Nero Custom, which is a bit more important for what most people are going to be doing outside of races.

The Itali GTB (and custom), regular Nero, T20, FMJ, Osiris, these cars are all very good as well.

only the mk 2 combat mg and the heavy sniper mk 2 are essential, everything else is just a matter of preference. some people would include the carbine mk 2 but it's only slightly better than the regular carbine, you're perfectly fine sticking to the special carbine or some other ar you like.

You never lose finished research. I've moved several times and mine's all finished. The only thing you lose is design upgrades (gun range, sleeping section) and business upgrades. I find it funny how you'll complain anonymously on here about other crew members but you won't actually bring it up with the crew leader or commissioners.
As for this "inner circle", yeah I won't deny that a few of us have made actual connections, or friendships if you will. We play other games outside of GTA and we banter in group chat about things unrelated to this game. If you feel excluded from that, it's not our fault. Maybe look at your own personality.

Best bet is normal races and stuntless stunt races, and only do custom tracks. Basically stuff that feels like a real race and isn't really gimmicky, but also tracks that people haven't done a bunch already.
