Parenthood was not a toddler pack. It was a parenting pack. Focusing on toddlers would've made it a toddler pack. Which it was not.
Game packs and Stuff packs have budgets. Monetary budgets, time budgets, asset budgets, programming budgets, animation budgets. The Parenthood game pack has a similar amount of content as other game packs. This means it met its budget. Adding in a stuff pack worth of content on top of the game pack would exceed that budget.
Had they done that, people would then bitch for the rest of eternity that "Parenthood had 30 more items than every other pack AND a new social situation!" whenever a game pack came out.
A game pack and a stuff pack being similarly themed isn't really fair grounds to declare they "should have" been released as one entity. Similar theming does not mean that content was "split up", it does not mean the first pack was "lazy", it does not mean you are being milked. It just means similar theming.
like I hate the way they're handling packs for sims 4 right now what with no EPs in sight but come on, guys, grow up a little. People who were perfectly satisfied with parenthood now feel justified to bitch their tits off about toddler stuff, isn't that a bit ridiculous?

Speaking of toddlers I'm playing a single mum with a toddler, the mum works and I've decided on hiring a butler instead of a nanny because we all know how slack those are.
Anyway my toddler is constantly having to ask for food and then the butler just ignores it, then when the toddler finally got put in the high chair and ate some food his energy levels were so low and the butler was just mopping up in the bathroom (the shower is broke) so he was basically just doing that on a loop.

I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or whatever as my whole issue with modders essentially boils down to their egos, but I do feel like I'm qualified to comment. I'm involved with modding for a few games and I've never had a problem with releasing and maintaining everything for free, as well as paying to provide hosting for the mods where necessary. I also release bits of software from time to time as a hobby. I just find charging for videogame mods so petty, it's simply penny grabbing. Modders who put shit behind paywalls or attempt to lock down their mods to prevent others from modifying them are awful people and I cannot understand that level of greed, and I hate the negative effect it has on communities where if one person manages to do it and get a bit of money from it then everyone starts copying them "well if his mods are good enough to charge for, then so are mine!".

I don't believe that content creators deserve to not be compensated, but you shouldn't expect to be compensated either. By all means you are welcome to give them donations or such if you like their work (although personally I find asking for donations tacky, but I just have a problem with receiving gifts in general), I just hate the whole patreon culture that seems to have invaded the modding scene in general.

As far as I remember for The Sims it used to be much worse than it is currently. There was an entire site for TS3 mods, can't remember the name at the moment, that had a shitload of good content and was completely paywalled. They lifted the paywall pretty late in TS3's life.
I'm not disagreeing, by the way: the shekel conspiracy is certainly stronger than ever, but at least for this game series I haven't had nearly as much trouble finding free content as I had in the past.

Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.
