He hasn't even been the icon of 'bad champion' forever. That title has been held by Evelynn, Poppy, Teemo, Skarner, and Olaf

Urgot's legacy was becoming broken once every two years due to meta shifts and item changes and breaking the pro scene for a week or two

He's had no impact on the casual playerbase like Teemo has, who is basically a bronze and silver tailor made champion and has been since they launched ranked

Hate him all you want but Teemo is one of the champions most people remember this game for, not Urgot

How hard is it to learn support? I originally learned the game as ADC but I was too defensive at first and had trouble orbwalking in team fights. Then I tried toplane and I'm a big fan of bruisers/all in but I'm always stuck picking tanks. Tried jungle after I felt safe enough with map awareness but its just too hard to keep track of my pathing and saving dead lanes once I lost my original path I just got overwhelmed.

I was thinking of buying a few cheap supports like taric, thresh, and janna. Maybe spring for Rakan. Is it hard to dissassociate myself from laning like I'm used to (last hitting, trading, etc) and start to focus on a different section of the game with warding/trading/roaming? I know that supports still make the plays depending on who you're playing. But it seems like it might be harder to make the switch now that I've learned a certain way.

For your first item, guinsoo is the best DPS wise
you should follow up with RFC, where the range on the gold card will be very useful and your damage will be enough to get kills easily
next is more flexible, i go with runaan's into IE most of the time, as i already get 60% crit from the two last items
If you take the lifesteal keystone, you generally don't need a lifesteal item, but botrk can still be pretty good
Lastly, don't take dominik as you deal hybrid damage
