It looks like the HH somewhat has like a combination of both Gen and FU, where there are attacks that play the notes and going into recital plays them, but you can also stay in recital and continue attacking/moving. It could also be the encore attack finally being able to go forwards. Without the HUD I can't tell much. Definitely will be using this support weapon with you guys next year

What are some good Blast weapons in 4U?

Is it possible to get a decent armor set for Dual Blades in Gen without resorting to clown suiting?
I'm fairly new to the weapon but from what I've seen they eat sharpness like crazy and very few Dual Blades have natural white sharpness, even less of them have at least 2 slots.

What skills would be the most important to look for before anything else?

Probably still dio. I remember using only his longsword(fuck longsword) during my longsword only run because all the other longswords sucked big dick all the way till endgame. I also remember dio weapons being the biggest pain in the dick to make and upgrade. What was it, 5 fucking HR chilled beaks for an upgrade? That's similar to what happened to me. I needed 8 horns to make and fully upgrade the helm for a mixed set I was making. I also needed Lrg Elder Dragon gems for my IGs and Teo was the best monster to farm those on.

Before making this helmet I was only at about 4 Teo hunts since I never really cared for the monster. Now look where I am.
Somewhere along the line of working to make that equipment I lost control and began to enjoy fighting this shitty monster. Now I have multiple stacks of Hardhorns and Gems that go unused.

I have probably about a stack of large elder dragon gems in 4U from teostras and kushalas. I usually get one or two per hunt. I've crafted almost everything that requires them. Not him but that's generally what happens when you hunt one monster that much, most of /mhg/ that I played with in 4U was scarily efficient at killing rajang for instance (and in time so was I) because it was the most popular 140 for various reasons. An /mhg/ room would smash a double rajang 140 faster than pretty much any other "serious" quest, bar a single rajang 140. I got to the point where I could pretty much kill kushala, zinogre and gore magala with my eyes closed (not that zinogre or gore really have much challenge to begin with, which is why I chose them as my "relaxation" monsters in the first place).

But the terrible thing is that if you don't hunt them for a while you still end up rusty again, or at least I did. Then you get to be embarrassed when you eat shit even though your guild card says you've hunted something four million times and you're hr999.

I use english messages in my presets and have actually met engrish speaking nips because of it. They sent me friend invites and invites to lobbies too.

It's neither as bad as some people here say or as good as it could (or indeed should) have been, which wasn't even that great to begin with. All in my opinion, of course. It's like a shittier pokémon, has a lot of performance issues. Has several features pokémon did first and did a lot better on the same system, like a worse version of ORAS's flying mechanic.

The customisation system for monsters, which is objectively the main draw compared to other monster battling games, is really neat in theory, but in practice it's only good for mindgames in pvp since monsters that aren't naturally inclined to an element will never use it as well as monsters that are, and the monsters with the best stats in general are usually also the ones with the strongest attacks, so it's not like you'll want to take a really good fire ability from a yian kut ku and put it on a teostra (there are a few exceptions, for instance I've found red khezu's lightning attack is better for single targets than the ones that ivory lagi gets). Worse, what is on the surface a cool detail (the fact that if your monster has high enough attack in one of its non-dominant elements parts of it change colour to match that element) is actually a major disadvantage in most cases in the one place that system excels (again, mindgames in pvp), because it means you have to keep its nondominant elemental strength low or your opponent will know what you're doing (though you could use this to your advantage by giving it, say, a fire-oriented monster just enough ice to change its colour but still having it just use fire attacks).

Apart from that, it's somewhere between pokémon and yokai watch but it runs like shit (even compared to the more recent pokémon titles) and is riddled with both gameplay and graphical issues. All that said, if you're downloading it for free, I think it's worth the time spent playing it at the very least. It's comfy and cute and a few dozen hours long.

What the actual fuck, I'm bringing this argument back. Who the fuck is stupid enough to think this seriously? Why be okay with making one play style objectively worse than another to alienate players in higher ranks later who want to use the weapon they enjoy?

Anyone else just can't be excited for World? I actually think that what we've seen of the game so far looks good, but I simply cannot trust either of the MH teams anymore. I know that just like every other new MH game it's going to be fun for a while for the novelty, and after a few dozen hours you're going to start noticing all the faults and the horrible balancing issues, and you're never going to want to return to it because there's no point.
It's the Monster Hunter team, so most of the new additions aren't going to be useful, one weapon is going to dominate everything, the same issues that have been plaguing the series since the PS2 are still going to be present.

World is going to be a neat little diversion for 20 hours or so but it's not a title I could see myself staying with for any longer than that, knowing Capcom's track record. They are simply not capable of producing a well made game.
