CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT are all ready easy to press with modifiers. The only problem is if you're also using keys on the far left.

Hit CTRL with the part below your pinky, hit ALT with your thumb, and SHIFT with your pinky. You don't need any of those while pressing keys.

IE: 1, 2, 3 is Jolt, Veraero, and Verthunder on my RDM, CTRL + 1, 2, 3 is my melee combo, and ALT + 1, 2, 3 is my Impact, Verstone, and Verfire.

Just keep one hotbar and use shift + number to swap to the relevant bar you need to use a skill.

This way you only need to use keys 1-5 or so plus shift and you are pretty much golden. Keep a few other keys that you may need to have sudden access to on R, T, F, Z, X etc.

Use Impact to replace Jolt whenever you'd cast it. It's nothing but an upgraded Jolt and I'm not sure why it doesn't replace it when it's procced.

It replaces Jolt when it procs, which is the spell you use to set up a dual casted Veraero/Verthunder if you didn't proc either Verstone or Verfire. Sit on an Impact proc until you can't cast either of the procs and use Impact then.

It's because the Impact proc can fall off in the middle of hardcasting it and it'll stop the spell itself. They could've solved this by making it the same as Ruin IV's which doesn't stop even if the proc falls off but but they apparently decided not to. Probably so they can claim they helped button bloat by making it do that in 5.0.

There's still some moral greyness regarding Garleans in SB, it's just all tucked away in sidequests while the MSQ is busy with MUH HUNT. I do hope they bring more of it back to the main quest's storytelling by the time we get to Garlemald itself.

I actually really like the 60-70 quests but that's because it's essentially a GLD storyline instead of PLD. Which is a positive, the fact that GLD actually has compelling characters aside, because it shows off what's unique about XIV's PLD in particular with its roots in the Coliseum instead of your standard holy shit. It also just has a lot of neat little touches with the other NPCs you interact with and I appreciate how down to earth it feels because of that.

30-50 is boring as fuck and 50-60 is genuinely some of the worst written shit in the game to the point where even the characters in the quest line itself are calling it retarded, though, and I would agree with calling the overall package the most boring though.

For level 60-61, your options are roulettes, Fringes FATEs and PotD. If you have a party, those FATEs are going to be faster than PotD. If you're going solo it's the other way around.
Don't bother with PotD at all after reaching 61, the exp doesn't scale up any further than what it is at 59/60.

it just shouldnt be held like a spear. Spear is a thrusting weapon, so running with the tip in front of you makes perfect sense, as you could thrust in one fluid motion.

That isnt really how greatswords are used. Instead all their animations involve big sweeping strikes, none of which are natural from that position. I am willing to forgive 'practicality' in fantasy games in favor of shit that just plain looks badass, but that animation isnt either of these lol.

It's not as good as how pure fun the Pugilist quests are but the 50 quest (not the 30-45 line leading up to it which is definitely pretty meh, just 50 in particular) and 60-70 are pretty good for Monk even if they could use some tweaks storywise.

Rogue and Ninja are also good fun. Rogue has an actual story to go with the fun which NIN can only really say for 30-50 while the rest is weak plot held up by fun characters.
