I just watched the Electric Overload preview video and it makes me sad for the future of this game. There are so many cool decks, but since konami is so stingy with gems, literally no way to get the cards we need.

200 packs x 3 run throughs for the necessary UR and SR cards is 30,000 Gems. And that's just for one fucking pack. I don't know what Konami is thinking, but the vast majority of the player base is NOT going to stick around if they keep trying to wring every last fucking dollar from us.

The funny thing is that I'm totally willing to spend some money to support the game and get some of the new UR cards. Except that even if you spend a little money, you're not getting jack SHIT for what you buy. For example, lets say you spend $30 on the new pack. Know what that gets you? 36 packs. That's all. 16% of what you need to spend to get every UR and SR. What's the point of even spending the $30 if you're not even close to getting the cards you need anyway? I get it, they need to make money, but this game is going to die if they don't stop being so fucking greedy.

I pump cerberus to over 3300 as fast as possible and then the AI does nothing. It doesn't tribute for a second Des and doesn't activate any wheels. When the AI plays the mask to shuffle it back in I twister it. I use storm to blow away the face down wheels or AMA to prevent activation.

Yugi vs posessed Bandit Keith with the Milennium Puzzle at stake? Actually an adaptation of a second game in the Dungeon Dice Monsters arc with Duke's psycho clown dad over a grudge he held against Yugi's grandfather.

A recurring theme with a lot of these shitty episodes is that they're episodes they HAD to include because a vital event from the manga took place there (introducing Bakura's bad side and breaking the puzzle and allowing Bakura to put a portion of his soul inside in these examples).

Quite simply, he didn't. He was sitting at a table 3 feet away from her. Duels prior to the Duel Disk's introduction took place in what are referred to as "Battle Boxes", large glass cubes with a table and two chairs in them. Holograms of cards played are projected while inside. The anime changed this in a sort of stupid attempt to make everything LARGER THAN LIFE but failed utterly to actually adapt the scenarios properly to accomodate this change in scenery.

Another example of this is when Mokuba basically teleported 20 feet to steal Yugi's star chips without anyone noticing, as opposed to simply reaching across the table.

tl;dr i really can't recommend reading the manga enough. don't do it for the edge, do it because it's the real deal.
