Your examples aren't really analogous, since OW is about characters countering each other and if you banned genji then just pick bastion etc etc. Part of the strategy of overwatch is knowing which character to switch to mid-game to react to what then enemy team is doing.

If switching characters mid game was part of league, and if league had more noticeable and direct "counters", then it would be different.

This especially applies to competitve and 5v5 play, where your team comp and draft is a huge part of the results of a match. If every player is good, and if every player is working together, then the variable left is champion choice and the coach. This just doesn't apply to the other games you mentioned.

-W is a DED skill. It does practically nothing 90% of the time
-Ezreal hs to build tear on his first back which is literally NO DAMAGE. This means Ezreal is weak as fuck early and needs to get to mid-late to do anything
-does not build crit meaning he gets outscaled hard by champs who do


If you want to fix Ezreal you have to fix those above problems first
