20 AP being the most efficient farming is a meme. You don't want your medal count "spread out" and you especially don't want it spread towards mostly silver and some gold (which is what 20 AP is). You want mostly Golds and Bronzes with the occasional silver, since they require the least amount to clear out the shops ascension mats and crystallized lore (200 Bronze, 100 Silver, 700 Golds).5 AP gives you mostly Bronze, but also a good bit of silvers. 30 AP gives you mostly gold, with some silvers.

This is somewhat anecdotal but I don't expect this will be different from others experience: I have only done the 10 and 20 AP 1 time for the reward and yet I've still almost cleared the silver shop by doing about 6 5 AP runs and the rest 30 AP. 20 AP farming is a meme that comes from the same retards who said Nerofest was easy mat farming. Don't fall for it.

HOWEVER, according to Chinese law, anything with random chance involved has to be disclosed within 6 months of release. Overwatch for example had all its numbers revealed due to this. If someone in China pressures DW into Ching Chong court, they'll have to reveal all the drop rates (items, gacha "rate up", etc).

Not very often, in my experience. Jing Ke has literally been the only one to drop any silvers in the current fight; Zhuge Liang/Lu Bu have dropped golds every time. Most 30AP fights have been around 7 gold and that's it, with only dropping a batch of 5 silver occasionally. That, and Zhuge is a bitch in that fight if you can't one-turn him.

Still, it will probably be better overall, given the need of 800 more gold vs 200 more silver.

Don't. Just get through these missions to grab medals. The drop rates don't seem any better with normal quests, so unless it is something which is just uncommon elsewhere, or unless you can get an AP/leveling loop going, don't bother. Just go into the quest where you need the medals and which happens to drop what you want if lucky.

True, but you need 300 silver vs. 1100 gold, so it isn't that bad. Just getting the 5x silver drop once every three or four fights will average out to a good pace.
