To be honest, I always felt like my affection for femquars and femturs was the same kind I have for monstergirls. (the more "monstery" the better.)
What attracts me is how different they are : body language, culture, the way they interract with a human. I like discovering them on an emotional level, through details and not just a "scientific" one.
That's the reason I don't really like Asari that much : always felt that they're too similar to humans and it's a disservice to their "I can live for one millenia" alien life-span and mind-rape tendencies.
It's also why I like doing lewd writefaggotry involving human and aliens. Niku-drill monster-girls doujins were an enormous inspiration.

Why were they so homophobic/biphobic back then? Thankfully hiring LGBTQ+ developers allowed them to make better games. I really hope they'll give us MORE mlm romances than straight ones, as reparations for being such a bigoted studio for a very long time!

I stopped playing around patch 1.05? I think, it's the one where they basically buffed the FUCK out of powers and combos for multiplayer. I got super into other games and only just recently decided to boot it up. I really want to try out the new turian character and the batarian looks neat. They added a new angara too I see.

Anyway, what's the current state of the game? I thought someone told me it wasn't going to be getting any updates and yet it looks like patch 1.08 and 1.09 changed a relative fuckload of stuff. Is it a good time to get back in? Is the multiplayer dead on PC?

Is the SP fixed?

Is there nude turian sex yet?
>>
>>183861623
Taking a break. In all honesty, I kinda fucked myself with the last update. You fuckers asked some good questions that I don't know how to answer properly in a way that would also add to the story. I've been struggling to come up with a decent follow up without it feeling like a cop-out, I know where I want it to go after that scene, but it's getting there that's the problem.

>>183861784
Not yet, my good friend.
>>
>>183866825
Which questions? Are we still at the cafe whatever?
>>
>>183866701
It's an alright time to get back in. Most of the major bugs in the SP have been fixed, along with some nice QoL improvements (animations, etc.).
The MP is pretty alive as well, although all it really does for me is make me want to play ME3 MP again. None of the characters in ME:A feel like they play that differently. Almost all of them have the same amount of mobility,
and there's not a lot of really interactive or interesting skills. Awakened Collector glass cannon build is FUN!
>>
>>183866701
>Is the SP fixed?
They've adjusted some of the animations and certain quests aren't bugged anymore. The storyline hasn't been fixed but Jaal has been made available for Scott. No improvements whatsoever to the other romances.
>>
>>183867105
How is the ME3 multiplayer doing right now anyway?

>Is there nude turian sex yet?

Mass Effect was sacrificed to fund Anthem, a Destiny wannabe.

If you love ME, don't buy it.
>>
>>183867098
Yeah, we left off at the cafe. Y'all wanted specifics on how C-SEC operates, details of her arrests, prior detective work and shit. I kinda hit a dead end there with that, cause I wanted to answer most of the questions you guys had, without copping out and make her say, "Sorry I can't talk about that."

I guess I just need more time to channel my autism to figure it out. I haven't given up yet.

>>183867259
Surprisingly active, at bronze-silver ranks at least. I haven't had much luck trying to find any games at gold or above, but for the few hours that I played yesterday, I was able to get in games with 3 other randoms within a few minutes of searching.

I dont remember 1 (too many years) but on 2, best squadmates were Wrex and the drell, best weapon was the widow, best class soldier.

On 3, best class is sentinel at late game or soldier at early game, best squadmates are Garrus and the muscled beaner guy. Weapon depends but the mattock is very "weight-efficient".

Best mission on 2 was freeing Jack. On 3 is breaking into cerberus HQ. Armax arena topples it though.

>Best class?
I just roll with soldier.

>Best gun?
I don't know, I like the Vindicator. Saber and Crusader are retardedly good, too, and pretty much the same gun.

>Best squadmate?
Character wise or gameplay? I really liked Garrus in the first game, he was a bit of a hothead, but still somewhat reeled in and could be influenced by Shepard to not be a jackass. I didn't like him as much in the sequels, everything about him feels too forced.
I really like Ashley, too (muh waifu), I think she's interesting (the story of her grandfather, being held back by it, and those things causing her to always push harder even when it's not necessary and comparing herself to those around her) and the romance feels very natural.

>Best mission?
I'd probably say Noveria and blasting geth on the outside of the Citadel.
Mass Effect 2 had some pretty cool side missions, but they still felt very empty or unfinished at times. Go here, shoot this, done. The one with the malfunctioning VI where you had to lock and unlock doors, guide a laser thing to destroy... something. The planet with chlorine gas was nice.
The one where you stop some missiles was good, too, it's one of few actually morally gray options in Mass Effect and I wish they went further with it, and had more of that stuff.

>Best ayy design?
I would say turian (males only, females just look stupid) and salarians. I do wish we saw more salarians, they look cool, humanoid but still weirdly alien. I'd have loved to have a salarian soldier. Former STG assault squad, or something.

Any tips on learning how to stomach ME2? I just can't deal how much the characters change in ME1, and it's not like they develop in any positive way, they just become caricatures of themselves.
>>
>>183886157
This is part of the reason I maintain that 1 is the best. It felt a lot more down to Earth and contained
>>
>>183886157
I just don't get how Garrus goes from a bitter racist ex-cop to your best friend ever.

They try to push that 'mentoring' thing but the thing is why he is acting like this but if you don't his mission you still get that pushed, and if you tell him not to kill Dr. Saleon, he still goes on his retarded space-punisher thing and gets everyone killed.

Now, I can believe that Garrus could just lose a few more bolts in his brain and live up to his Dirty Harry dreams but I just don't fucking believe a man who consistently believes humans are weaker and feeble (and genophage was justified and deserved, I miss the elevator talk), join a Cerberus operation in any fucking way. Sure the man respects your leadership, and constantly begs you to recruit him about Saren claiming this isn't a specie thing and what not but fuck me, he was full blown racist. He had racist shit to say to any fucking member you brought along with him.

But, Ashley "I am not a Terra Firma member but" Williams, or Ashley "Can't Separate Them From Animals" Williams fucking gets furious, now I get someone just because they are conservative won't join the KKK and same with Cerberus but I expect more sympathy from her due to her opinions.

Now, Bioware knew people thought Garrus was the best character in ME1, and he definitely is and the best character to have around consistently. So they just had him act like you both fucking graduated from C-SEC Academy together and known each other for 10 years.

I don't want to start about how Cerberus went from minor extremist movement to a massive juggernaut that can review you either but, I can't discount Martin Sheen's performance.

>Tali: As the turians are properly contrite for releasing the genophage upon the krogan?

He is 100% right but, doesn't change he is a racist.
>>
>>183888303
Not the anon you're answering to but, I don't get how this is racist. He's not saying that the quarians are bad, just saying that they made a mistake.
>>
>>183888303
Garrus is a pragmatist. He doesn't think sterilising Krogan was good because they were Krogan and he hates them, he thinks it was good because of the threat they posed, specifically at that time.
>>
>>183888303
I fail to see, how this is racism.
I mean, when you go to a german and tell him, I hope your people are properly contrite for what they did to the 6 million jews, 6 million undesirables and millions of millions of dead people all over the european war theater, then I highly doubt this is racism.

if i follow your logic it would be more along the line like a brit asking an american whether the americans are properly contrite for dropping nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing ten thousands of unarmed civillians in a nuclear hellfire. The American response would be that the brit assumed that glassing the cities was a mistake.

Or you could ask about the day&night bombing raids on every german city in WWII or the Napalm and Agent Orange droppings in the Vietnam war.
From a peace time pov these acts may seem to be horrible, but in a war they´re efficient ways to deal with an enemy.

In the end, wasn't Ashley right? The moment things went bad the Council did leave Earth/Humans to die while keeping their fleets near their own homeworlds?

Alliance had 1/50th the fleet of the Asari and barely 1/100th the fleet of the Turians, while the majority of the reaper forces were in the Sol system. And yes, the whole point is that Ashley was right, they would not "abandon their own countries" in a crisis. Thessia was only attacked by a single large reaper and a few smaller ones but that still was enough for them to drop everything and send all their forces home. The council were never allies and no council race ever considered humans as something that needed to be defended equally as their own kin.
>>
>>183890578
But you can say the same about the other council races. Even the damn Salarians won't donate all their forces with the Turians and Asari on board if you cure the Genophage despite the fact that they're dead if they fail
>>
>>183891676
You are straight retarded if you cure the genophage, why do you need Krogan support in a battle that is mostly fleet-focused?

Besides, having Krogan everywhere after the war is over is going to be disastrous as well
>>
>>183891676
Yeah, that's the point. They all thought that people of their own race was far more valuable than any number of Xenos. Who knows how many millions of humans could have been saved if even one Asari or Turian dreadnought could have been diverted to help.

Treating a race as a hive mind and asserting that the whole race needs to be "properly contrite" for the actions of a few (in this case, an accidental robot war that only killed their race, and nearly led to their extinction while the other races refused to help in even the most minor way) is pretty much the definition of racism. "They" can't make a mistake, because again, they're not a hive mind. The only races that logic actually applies towards are the geth and rachni.

The sheer numbers of the Reaper fleet make it very unlikely they were focusing anything close to the bulk of their forces on Earth, especially when the only sector actually putting up any kind of fight was the turian one.
>>
>>183921879
Yeah but that's mainly because humanity put up a shit fight compared to literally everyone else.
>>
>>183922023
Probably, but that definitely changed when they got the Citadel.

>>183922056
The elcor had them in a nasty ground war, the turians are turians, the krogan helped out tremendously on Palaven, and the asari were doing good but losing slowly.

Nobody else really did anything.
>>
>>183917427
Dunno why but the first thing that came to mind was how face markings would affect it. I could see them getting really competitive; if you hear there's a guy from your colony featured in this weeks issue you pick up an issue to make sure he's doing you proud like "go on lad show them how a real Cannis man does it, that shitter from Macedyn last week could only handle two Krogan at once lmao what a bitch". Or if they were doing some weird fetish work they might put on a luchador type mask to avoid bringing shame to their colony. The clever ones would get a make up artist to cover up their markings and paint on those of the traditional rival colony before getting pissed on by an Elcor or whatever.

Wearing markings that aren't yours without good reason is probably a big faux pas, like wearing another family's tartan except way more obvious and way more likely to get your ass beat. Might even be laws against it in Hierarchy space, but some idiots would probably still try. The Turian lover idea is nice but it would probably be a very serious 'I want us to be a family' meaning so you better be damn sure they're on the same page as you. If you married them you'd probably gain the right to wear them, putting them on for the first time might even be part of the ceremony.

>You decide that now is a good time to get to know Cyra better.
>"So uh, tell me about yourself? I have no idea what daily life is like for an alien.. err... Turian." You say, taking another sip of water. Your throat is suddenly feeling quite dry.
>"Well, where would you like me to start? That's a pretty general question." She responds with a smile.
>"Well... you're in C-SEC, right? What do you do there?
>"Was. Was in C-SEC. I don't work there anymore, remember? Private investigator." Cyra dips her head slightly, lets out a small cough, before raising her head again to meet your eyes. She seems quite proud of her statement.
>"Oh. Yes. That's right. If you don't mind me asking, why did you become a private detective?"
>"Hmm." Says Cyra, her taloned fingers tapping lightly against the hard surface of her chin. "I would say that my superiors and I had a few... disagreements on the proper treatment of a few species. Some of them were far too strict regarding certain species... and some of them... well, not enough."
>As she says that you watch her cat-like eyes lock onto a hooded figure wearing a strange rubber suit as it walks past your table. She watches it intently out of the corner of her eye until the figure is well past your booth.
>"Anyway..." she continues, "They decided to keep me around due to my... ah... investigation abilities. Not much else to say, really."
>You nod your head in understanding. You're silently glad that she decided that you're one of the aliens that deserves better treatment.
>As you stare into your glass, you see her bright eyes watching over your body with a curious intent.
>Well, you don't know when the foods going to get here. Might as well keep the conversation going.

>The Detective's coughing has you worried. You decide to ask if she's alright.
>"I'm sorry, but I can't help but notice you keep coughing. Are you... sick" You ask, with a worried face.
>Cyra's eyes widen in surprise. "What? No? No no... I'm quite alright. Really."
>You aren't buying it just yet. "Are you sure? Is it possible that... I'm making you sick?"
>The Detective scratches the back of her neck tenaciously. "Well... I don't think so. It started around when I investigated the first-"
>Cyra paused for a moment, still idly rubbing the back of her neck. She appeared deep in thought.
>"Oh spirits." She muttered.
>You suddenly become slightly uneasy. Something is bothering her, and you don't like the sound of it. "What is it? Is.. something wrong?" You ask nervously.
>The Detective remains silent for a brief moment, before quickly snapping out of whatever overcame her.
>"It's nothing. I just have to make a few quick calls when I get back to the station. That's all." She says quickly, shooting you a brief smile.
>You raise an eyebrow. "Really?"
>"Really."
>Any further questions you had would have to unanswered, as you find a large plate of food being set down in front of you.
>You give the waitress a curt nod and a quick "Thanks." as you observe the meal in front of you.
>You watch as a small column of steam rises up from what appears to be a large, shiny red shell surrounded by light blue foliage. It smells faintly of... wet socks.
>Cyra's plate, on the other hand, seems far more recognizable. It appears to be a lightly seared slab of blue meat with what looks like a side of some sort of tuber. Quite tasty looking, honestly. You wish you could smell it over the stench of your own plate.
>Cyra takes note of your hesitation. "I'm surprised you order that, honestly. Most levos seem to avoid Salarian delicacies such as that. You're quite adventurous."

>You give her a nervous grin. You're beginning to feel like you've made a huge mistake. Whatever you ordered, you're really hoping that it at least tastes familiar, like lobster or crab.
>The feeling worsens as you look at the three utensils laid in front of you.
>One of them appears to be some sort of two-pronged fork, with an oblong bend in the middle of the handle, it looks like it's supposed to fit into something.
>The second one appears to be some sort miniature mace. You have no idea how a small medieval weapon could help here.
>The third appears to be a long pick of some kind, with a sharp pointed end that curves into a gentle right angle.
>Oh god. You're in over your head now.
>You have a few options:

1)Stab around the shell with the fork-thing. Maybe try eating the leaves.
2)Smash open the shell with the mini mace. Looks like the right thing to do. Probably.
3)Try to pick apart whatever is front of you with the pick and the fork.
4)Give up. Ask Cyra for help.

>You have no idea what you're doing. You decide to ask Cyra for help.
>"Can I um, get some help over here?" You ask.
>"Help with what?" Asks, the Detective, mouth already partially full with food.
>"I don't know what to do with these... weapons." You say, making an effort to point out the strange utensils in front of you.
>"You want me to show you.. how to eat? Have you never used a kerb'tar before? You have those on your planet, right?"
>"Errr what?"
>Cyra laughs. "Oh spirits. Alright. Give me that."
>You watch as the Detective grabs the fork-thing and the pick, swiftly jams it into the back of the shell, and then pulls quickly to the side, splitting open the shell in one motion, and releasing a thick column of steam.
>You suppress a gag as the smell of damp socks intensifies. You really hope it tastes better than it smells.
>The Detective gives you a quick grin. "See? Easy enough. Now dig in."
>You're still somewhat confused. "And what's this for?" You say, pointing the small mace-like utensil.
>"Oh that." She says with a straight face, "That's for killing anything that tries to escape."
>Escape? God almighty.
>"Um. Really?" You say, unable to hide your sudden fear.
>"No. I'm kidding. You don't need it."
>A feeling of great relief washes over you. You won't have to be playing whack-a-mole with your dinner.
>Cyra laughs at your obvious relief. You're glad someone is getting some enjoyment out of this meal.
>Looking inside the shell, containing what seems to be some big, beige, gelatinous mass. You eye it suspiciously.
>"Is there anything in here I shouldn't eat?" You ask.
>"Hmm? No, everything should be safe. They take out the guts before they cook it."
>You weren't sure you wanted to ask what 'it' was. You decide it's time you took a bite.

>You manage to take a few more bites. It's palatable. Certainly not your favorite food, but you managed to swallow it without throwing up. You aren't sure if it's your current state of hunger that's contributing to that factor.
>You notice the Detective watching you with interest, looking for any signs of distress.
>"Everything alright?" She asks.
>You have a few options:

1)"Yep. I'm fine." Keep eating.
2)"Can I, uh, order something else?"

>You decide that some food is better than no food, and that you wouldn't make a very good witness if you died of starvation.
>The rest of the dinner continues without conversation, only the sound of the metal utensils scraping together and the faint sounds of chewing can be heard.
>You finish up what you can bear of your meal, Cyra appears to have cleaned her plate. You still feel a little envious of her meal choice over yours.
>You pat your stomach, feeling quite content. As strange as the food was, it certainly felt good to have something in your stomach.
>"How was it?" Asks the Detective, patting away at a small stain on her lip with the corner of a napkin.
>You shrug. "It certainly was an experience, I'll give it that much. Pretty good for my first bite of alien food, I guess."
>Cyra lets out a small laugh. "Good! I'm glad. You sure you're not feeling sick at all? You should be feeling the effects about now if it was the wrong chirality."
>You shake your head. "I feel fine."
>"Well! That's even better." The Detective stands up. "Ready to get out of here?"
>"Sure."
>As you stand up, you watch as Cyra walks off towards a counter at the back of the restaurant. Presumably to pay the bill.
>You can't help but notice her hips slowly rocking back and forth as she walked away. She moved with such a fluid, confident grace, her arms swinging gently at her sides, head held high. You weren't sure whether it was something in the food you just ate, but there was something about the detective that you found so... intoxicating. You couldn't help but stare.
>Before you knew it, Cyra had finished paying for the meal. You had watched her walk all the way over there, and you did your best to advert your gaze as she walked back. You feel rather childish about your actions, but you can't help it.

>You stretch your arms wide, before bringing your fist close to your mouth in an attempt to stifle your yawn. "I'm pretty beat, actually." You say, still bleary-eyed, "How about I buy you those drinks later?"
>Cyra gives you a quick nod and a smile. "I hold you up to that."
>You roll your shoulder slowly, working the muscle after your stretch. "Mind if I crash at the station?" You ask, "Besides, don't you have to go there anyway?"
>The Detective shrugs her shoulders. "I had planned on calling into the station in the morning. I don't think the people I'm looking for are going to be up at this hour anyway."
>She let out another small cough into her fist before continuing, "But if you want to sleep in the station, that's fine by me. I'd let you use my office, but there's stuff in there that's... ah.. classified. I'm sure I can find you an empty room though."
>You nod your head in agreement. "Anywhere is fine by me as long as it's quiet, provided there's enough room for me to lay down."
>Cyra laughs again. "Well, I'm afraid now you're asking for too much!"
>You yawn again, this time with a big smile on your face. "I'm needy, I should've warned you." You say, following the Detective out the doors of the restaurant.

Well written characters? I know that's not particularly helpful. If you meant story ideas I'd be interested to see something a bit more low stakes. Most femtur fics more than a chapter or two seem to turn into military or police thrillers at some point, it would almost be novel to have it be about civilians who aren't solving a murder or blowing up reapers. Perhaps someone grew up on a small colony and moved to the Citadel, never actually seen an alien before they step out of the shuttle. Or someone goes to the homeworld of the other species for the first time and has no idea what they're doing. Or if you wanted to have a military setting how about some multi-species task force being set up but turning out to just be a big PR stunt by the Council and getting shipped off to the ass end of nowhere. Soldiers do dumb things to pass the time in shit postings, probably some fun to be had. Maybe they even get to be big damn heroes eventually, who knows.

Like every single fucking bird demonstrates the same fucking dimorphism but due to your birdbrain, only fucking thing you can think about gender differences in birds are peacocks.

Guess what dipshit, some birds almost have almost none (especially the damn birds Turians are based off, Sulphur-crested cockatoos) and the differences can just be something little as eyecolor. And this was the plan for a while to make female turians look the same as males because not only it saves them on hard disk space, it also saves them effort two birds with one stone. I wish they went that way because we wouldn't have any femtur shitposting or if we did they would be infinitely more despised.

>Like every single fucking bird demonstrates the same fucking dimorphism
You what mate? Sexual dimorphism is common in avian species.
And I'm thinking about the pin-tailed whydah, specifically, right as you mentioned that. Oh, Now I'm thinking about ducks.

Did you work at Bioware, looks like you're pulling a lot of shit out of your ass. If they had planned to use the same models, then they would've done so, like they did with the salarians. No, they probably had no clue where they were going to go with it. I'm also attracted to male turians, so you can fuck off with that. Female turians look the way they settled on, and that's that. One thing is for certain, they weren't meant to have tits, as evidence by >>184000030
>>
>>184001430
What does that even mean? Their hips are only big because of their hips? Same things true for humans. I can say that humans don't even come close to having the same amazing waist, and I'd argue that turians have small but firm asses. Both perfect for grabbing, along with their hips looking like handles.
>>
>>184002101
We aren't talking about tits, you dickhead. We are talking about crests.

To source my claims, the cockatoo thing was from a "Did You Know Gaming" thing or some variation and it did make sense since they did look very similar. The females originally being planned to look same might be some rumor that came from the content cutting thing to save space.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3oypQkMsFE

I found this pre-ME3 interview about Turian design. The cockatoo thing isn't mentioned but eagles and you can see that since their beak-mouths look more like an eagle in general but the key thing they say about that they were unsure about female Turian design and couldn't decided, so when some fraud 3rd rate comic artist decided for them, they went with it. (see. Nyreen also having 'tits').

I hate that interview because man, you can feel the culture of laziness and corner cutting in Bioware vibrate through it.
>>
>>184003116
I wasn't specifically talking to you about the tits thing, was just giving my input on the matter to the thread.

Just because they took inspiration for creating the head crest for the males from a certain type of bird, doesn't mean they'd base everything, like sexual dimorphism, around that one bird.

That's one thing I liked Montreal over Edmonton for. They weren't lazy with models, in Andromeda at least. They're still to blame for giving Nyreen tits, but I think they learned from that. Things like the different species having their own skeletal structures. Turians skeletal structure, for example, in Andromeda looked more like they did in concept, before Edmonton made them fit to human. Salarians and turians are now tall. Human males are taller than the females. Female krogan aren't just male krogan with a veil on their head. And female turians exist, where they should've existed all along, given that they have as much standing as the males in their society. I'd bet we'd see female drell if we'd be given the quarian ark DLC.
>>
I need good fics to read
>>
>>184004484
>like sexual dimorphism, around that one bird.

Granted but, the point I am trying to say is that making female Turians with bald heads is retarded because they have no solar radiation protection on their damn brain and because it contradicts what Garrus says about what features are important on a female Turian (let's not write more closeted-Garrus erotica, we did that two days ago).

These are virtual birdraptors, shorter crest wouldn't be that weird to have as a feature to differentiate them, I don't know if nature has birds like that and frankly I don't care if you don't care what birds they take features from.

I am not gonna give one bit credit for Montreal for including female Turians the level they should have since ME1 because, Edmonton would have likely done it as well because they wouldn't have the excuse of 'dur we hav no design lol'. Props for them for trying to adjust heights though.

We did see a female Drell in the comics, and yes, she did have tits, seems like we are going to have this same shit fight in the future again once we see one in a game. Thank god MEA is dead.

>>184005403
You're under the assumption that the protofeathers give any radiation protection, and aren't there just for show. It would be a trait kept from evolution, where the longest attracted mates, thus females not needing them. That would also explain why they don't have any, because males found them unattractive. Also under the assumption that their skin doesn't protect against radiation in general. Even the males have exposed areas, even on their heads. I think the plating is just an extra layer of protection they could use in during heightened solar activity. All I remember Garrus saying about his crest, is him filing them, and making them neat. I didn't really pay as much attention to these details back then.

But Edmonton didn't and it took Montreal to do it in ME3's Omega DLC. I give them full credit for not being lazy shits, in that regard. Still have that laziness for showing any bit of raptor skin, and skimping on Vetra's romance.

I do know about the female drell in the comics, but it doesn't change the fact that I want to see them in-game. And tits on drell don't bother me, as there's no evidence for or against them, except for drell being depicted having them in the comics.
>>
>>184006981
How so? By making their legs look like they were meant to. Remember, those species had to share a skeleton with humans in the OT.
Turian and salarian legs were meant to look that way >>183904358 >>183904610
The asari sameface is hilariously lazy, I admit, but I never cared much about the blue humans anyway.
>>
>>184007019
>I think the plating is just an extra layer of protection they could use in during heightened solar activity.

And thus all female turians die from brain cancer during high activity.
>>
>>184007019
I assume that their skin also has adapted but we know for a fact that the plates do the most work, and you'd think exposing your brain to radiation would be something stupid.

The exposed areas of males are under their long crests, which could set a shadow to protect them. While showing off it is somewhat practical. The line about crests being attractive is a line from the Garrus romance talk, Garrus also compliments her hair in place of a fringe. I remember it because Regina was explaining her design of a femtur. It has been 5 years and I remember it, time well spent.

Now, lets be clear. You won't suddenly stop banging femturs if they had short crests that curved down their scalps to act as protection. So, I don't get why this argument is for, Bioware has fucked up consistency big time and only uses this design because it is convenient and they didn't have to design it themselves.
>>
>>184007631
>You're under the assumption that the protofeathers give any radiation protection
Did you even read the first sentence of anon's post?
>>
>>184007593
I've seen the concept art, the legs are fine there, but in Andromeda they somehow ended up unnaturally curved backwards below the knee. Take a look at turians or angara, they shouldn't be able to stand like that.
>>
>>184008089
The 'protofeathers' are same as their plates and likely serves the same function, it is not a stupid assumption to presume that they have some protection duty.
>>
>>184008089

Did you read the subsequent sentence?
>I think the plating is just an extra layer of protection they could use in during heightened solar activity.
If they were only for bursts of solar activity, the female turians would STILL lack protection.
>>
>>184007631
Or, y'know, put on sunscreen?
>>
>>184008086
Their skull/bones could contain the same protective metals as their face plates.

To me, from what you said, that seems like he's just trying to find relation to hair, this alien feature. That's not necessarily relating it to a specific gender.

No I wouldn't, and like I said before, I find males attractive as well. It's not much of an argument, canon is canon, and no amount of arguing is going to change that. I'm just giving reasons as to why they make sense. The reasons they don't make sense seem like they're just assumptions, so why are you arguing it?

>>184007631
>>184008275
>>184008420
All assumptions. We don't know what the different parts of their body are made up of.
>>
For fuck's sake, the plates protect against it, jesus. How are we still discussing this?
>The turian homeworld, Palaven, has a metal-poor core, generating a weak magnetic field and allowing more solar radiation into the atmosphere. To deal with this, most forms of life on Palaven evolved some form of metallic "exoskeleton" to protect themselves. Their reflective plate-like skin makes turians less susceptible to long-term, low-level radiation exposure, but they do not possess any sort of "natural armor".
Females just have a shitty design because the people behind didn't know what the fuck they were doing.
>>

>>184009942

>>
>>184009706

This guy's >>184007019 post about
>You're under the assumption that the protofeathers give any radiation protection

I don't know why he keeps calling to protofeathers instead of fringe, but whatever, not the point.
If the plates do protect against low and constant radiation, why would every, single member of the species have the head plates? The males also have small spots here and there where they don't cover, but why the fuck would they not have it on the head?
>>
>>184009328
No, he specifically says "I'd compliment your fringe or waist if you were a fenale turian", he doesn't just go your hair reminds me of a fringe.

The use of plates is loud and clear "Their reflective plate-like skin makes turians less susceptible to long-term, low-level radiation exposure", they need plates to peotect themselves. And their crests are also from the same material

My problem is that the design was made by some hack in Dark Horse Comics who gave no fucks about lore and is objectively shit for ignoring lore.

I am arguing it because you don't accept the design is stupid by their own lore, I don't get why you bother defending that trash.

Yes, that can happen, but the tissue is completely different from a bone. I suppose brittle bone disease affects only actual bones, those that have marrow and periosteum. Unless Joker has another condition, his dick is as fragile as any other human's.

EA's FY18 Q1 comments released today mention Mass Effect three times.

>The outperformance relative to guidance was driven by Ultimate Team, The Sims 4 and FIFA Online 3. Year-on-year growth was driven by the Mass Effect: Andromeda sales captured in the quarter and by FIFA.

>Digital net sales were $681 million, a new record for the first quarter, and up $113 million on the year-ago period. The increase reflects strength in live services, together with our Mobile business. In addition, Mass Effect: Andromeda was a significant contributor.

>Full game PC and console downloads generated net sales of $111 million, 32% higher than last year. This was driven by Mass Effect: Andromeda sales captured in the quarter. 34% of our full unit sales are now digital rather than physical, measured on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 over the last twelve months.

Not really news, but more relevant than the fiftieth "tfw no femtur talonjob" post. Transcript of the call itself will probably be up within the next few days. Maybe there's news in it. Probably not.

Started playing Andromeda for the first time and it's pretty all right so far. What can I pair with Charge for goofy, effective combos? I remember being able to lift and charge people in earlier games to send them cartwheeling across the room.

Say what you will about SHAAAAAUN: The Movie, but this twist was fucking great.
>>
>>184043002
Not really. Scott Shelby was a great character precisely UNTIL that reveal. Always felt it was a disservice to his character and made some scene (calling the police from the antiquarian shop) utterly nonsensical.
>>
>>184042861
Dream of comfy waifus anon.
>>
>>184043208
Welcome to the David Cage school of game design. Start with promise and proceed to become increasingly nonsensical until the first half of the game might as well be non-canon. Bonus points for demons and/or ghosts.
>>
>>184043208
I agree about Scott, but I'm talking about the twist itself. Totally unexpected, yet right under your nose, and in hindsight explains why he is involved in the first place.

But then again, the movie was apparently going to explain Ethan's schizophrenic blackouts as some form of telepathy, since the writers are faggots, so some weird parts can be forgiven
