The difference is that Gigni can be feasibly played around, Scorch has a drawback of possibly scorching own units, and Succ has 2 turns timer for you to do something about it.

Think of gwent as if you and your opponent build both sandcastles. Each ones of you has some buckets and shovels, and sometimes you're able to steal a shovel or make a hole in the bucket of your enemy.
Now control is if your opponent took a hand full of sand, threw it in your eyes, kicked you in the ribs, broke all of your fingers, killed your whole family, raped your pet, kicked your sandcastle over and pissed on its remains.

This chart is based around same MMR opponents.

If you play against higher MMR opponents you lose less and gain more, if you play against lower MMR the reverse is true. So it's always superior to play against higher ranked opponents, of course your opponent choice entirely based on luck as you don't know who you'll be facing in ranked.

Because of Sony/Microsoft patch certification it can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours for a patch to be approved. You also have to book a slot to get certified so that adds additional time as well on top of that.

So even if they had a patch ready to go right now on PC they can't release it before Sony/MS do their thing. Not sure if developers still have to pay per patch on console, but they are the reason why they'll often wait and do larger patches instead of smaller hotfixes.

Removing the carry over on deathwish is probably what they will do as far as monsters go.

Taking control on carry over in general will probably be a good thing for the game in the long run.

The core gameplay is fine, but every patch results in a single faction being tier 1 while the previous tier 1 faction gets nerfed to the ground. There's a new patch coming soonish. So we'll see how things go.

Ran into a buncha people testing out low tier decks. I got lucky and they didn't play counters while I was on a shitty modified SK starter so I finished in 4 games. Casual queue is still a little fun.

Armor is gaining popularity but even that is just "put power on the board and boost self". Spotted Pirate Vanguard: 6 power bronze, whenever you Ooga any card, boost this by 1 wherever it is

Long Mangonel Neophyte: 6 power bronze, whenever you Ooga any card, deal 2 damage to a random enemy

Scorpion Skirmisher: 6 power bronze, whenever you Ooga a card, give this unit 3 power

Ooga Egg: whenever this unit is Ooga'ed, +6 power to the unit doing the Ooga

What if gold cards had full interaction with the board in a way their do with skellige storm, Letho, Fringilla, thunderbolt potion and some others

This game is just so stale and boring now. I'm at 4.1k MMR and it's the exact same decks in both ranked and casual. There is no point in making fun decks since there are tryhards in every game mode. Even winning 3 games for the keg is a chore.

Yeah, I stopped playing ranked because I hit a wall at 3.5K with my warcry deck so I went to play casual for a few days and it's even harder, everyone is 4K with a tier 1/2 deck, even people with low MMR are stomping me with full netdecks.

NG should be a faction that rewards smart and calculated plays, and heavily punish mindless plays. The problem now is, is that the only way to play NG is by playing smart, and the only reward you get is that you get a faction that barely passes the bar.
