Warmane is how reality works. Nobody is going to tend to a server 24/7 365 days a year without some form of monetary gain, i mean real life costs money so what do you expect. If you don't let the devs do micro-transactions where they get a % to pay them then there is no real incentive and a dead server. So its always going to be in your face market like Warmane or Elysium spawned charachters / gold for sale on the black market to pay the devs. Now Gummy may have been doing this for free but he would be an ananomly since his condition gives him a paycheck from the state to cover his bare minimums. But this whole the devs should run the servers 24/7 like a slave to the machine for no money is some whack job communist idea which isn't feasible. You say elysium / paymane are greedy shitheads but hey they provide a place thousands of people have had hundreds of hours of fun playing on already which is more that can be said from the login boss server today or the 3 month shelf life servers this year.

1x wrath server - It's been around for ages, you can pay for a boost to 70 but no ptw aside from that, most wrath content is apparently well scripted but I'm not there yet, daily peak is about 2k

most interesting thing is the forced progression system where you can't set foot in an instance til you clear the prior one- so you need to do naxx before uld, uld before ToC etc so there are always people doing them

I played on it when uld and ToC was released. It is not bad. Most things felt fine and the scripting was pretty good for the instances. Getting into a hardcore raiding guild was impossible at the time. Only casual guilds or casual guilds looking to turn hardcore were recruiting. But that was a while ago.

does anyone remember which /wpsg/ guild played on ToD or GD that forced themselves through progression, e.g. when they were on Ulduar you couldn't use gear that hasn't been added until that point. I really enjoyed playing that

-Horseman doesn't charge the furthest player in Phase 2.
-The adds before moroes were not proper, some patrols missing and the servents wern't patting properly.
-Moroes didn't "dissapear", he just became untargetabble.
-Everything including undead / elementals are fearable.
-The dogs in madiens hallway act as if they are level 20, they hit for 12 damage and you can skin them for LIGHT / MEDIUM LEATHER.
-Some mobs in madiens hallway are not chained, like the ones in the side rooms.
-The quest in the sideroom before madiens is only allowed to be picked up by ONE PERSON.
-The mobs after opera's room weren't giving proper reward value, they only dropped 19-35 copper.
-When walking to the backdoor, pet pathing is bugged and your pet flys in the air across the backdoor bridge.
