I could really write pages and pages of this but i'll just give an overview. Here are the reasons Saihara is my ideal friend.
First off, Saihara and I are alike in ways that matter. He'd probably prefer to spend our time doing more quiet and subdued things, which I would wholeheartedly agree with.
Secondly, I like his sensitive and emotional nature. I think this is a way he and I could balance each other out. I'm a bit stoic and "manly" in regards to feelings. I could stand to open up and let things out more. Saihara can show me how. Similarly, I'll teach him to take charge of his emotions while respecting them. I often feel like my life is empty. Helping Saihara would bring me fulfillment
Thirdly, he's cute! I'm not gay, and I don't think he is either. But there's nothing wrong with spending your time in the company of attractive people, and I'd have no problem showing Saihara physical affection when he needs it.
In short. I think me and Saihara would get along and enjoy each other; I want a more emotional relationship in my life, and I think he's just adorable!

He became a detective because he wanted to see what a dead person looked like. The feeling of examining a corpse was the greatest thrill he had ever felt.
In the killing game, Saihara almost passed out from overstimulation. Examining the corpses of people he KNEW, people who lived and breathed before him, makes his heart pump like a machine gun.
Watching the executions, Saihara could barely contain himself. He knew it was all so wrong, HE was all so wrong, but watching someone die violently in front of him sends lightning through his spine. Nope. She's not really entirely to blame for him dying anyway. While she broke her promise not to go kill him, she was heavily manipulated by Tsumugi and he ultimately made the choice to die when he could've thrown Kaito and Maki under the bus to live.

She isn't my favorite character because of how her character arc is written but it really has nothing to do with how she treats Ouma. Her reactions (most of the time) make sense for her character and backstory.

Yep. Most of my frustration with Maki's character comes from her relationship with Kaito and how that's written, not how she treats Ouma.

Her relationship with Ouma is fairly interesting and it's kind of cool to see her perception of him change after chapter 5. She's not as fundamentalist in her views of people as she's often made out to be.

For some reason, it's always Hinata and Komaeda they project their transgenderism onto. Then they just draw Nanami fat with hairy legs and armpits.

I don't really get the reason why they make them transgender though, as...1.) transgender characters in most Japanese mainstream media are seen as jokes or are hardly understood at all/seen as gay when trans and gay are not the same things, 2.) it really only changes the how sex between that character and other characters will be like, and 3.) making a character transgender is usually just a conduit for them to write transgender angst/dysphoria.

I'd say our format leans slightly more on the "Figure out what happened" aspect than it does the "Roleplay" aspect, but we try to incorporate both.

Currently:
Blazblue & Persona. Not all that many game series I'm that invested in atm.

Used to:
TF2; back when it was still good.
Mass Effect; I only played the second one, I loved it so much, but I ragequit after the Suicide Mission because almost all of my crewmates died.
Binding of Isaac; the difficulty of Eternal Mode (and the fact it gets progressively harder each time you finish the game) left me bummed out.
Neptunia; after V-II I felt burned out, still haven't finished getting all of the Trophies because grinding in post-True ED is hard as shit even with all of the EXP boosts. I'm still planning to buy 4GO when it comes out however.
Corpse Party; last game left me very disappointed. Also 2U will never get translated fully so RIP.
Gears of War; no XBOne, no chance to play the 4th one.
