I want to autistically rant about EU/NA Marina.

Getting straight to the point, where Pearl is her own new character with a spunky punky childish attitude, Marina comes off as having all her dialogue pulled straight out of a "Splatoon 1 Marie comebacks" folder. Even worse, it's so obvious from her expressions and animations that she's supposed to the more passive and submissive member of the group, so the words that she puts onto screen have barely any if no correlation to her movements. It comes off as if the folks at Treehouse just saw how well received Marie was in Splatoon 1, threw up their hands in laziness, and said "let's just make Marina like Marie. They sound the same right?"

When I first saw Pearl and Marina I thought they were genius, and a great break away from the squid sisters. "Bratty punky senior" and "refined and passive newbie still learning the ropes" was an interesting combo, and I looked forward to the dialogue. While Japan got that relationship, we instead got a lesser version of the Callie/Marie relationship. It's so fucking weird because Pearl doesn't even really play off Marina well like Callie did Marie. It feels like they're having two different conversations.

Keep in mind I fucking loved Marie in Splatoon 1. I thought she was a step up from her Japanese counterpart with her hilarious snarkiness. She was great. Marina however feels phoned in. I feel like you could paste Marie over her right now and nothing would change.

Sorry for the autistic rant. Loving Splatoon 2 by the way, it's just that I wanted to get this out of me.

Things that MUST be changed to Salmon Run or it's a bust:

-REMOVE weapon swapping, allow players to choose their weapons going in
-NERF the flying Salmon that launches missiles and the one that launches green bombs
-ADD more maps to the rotation that aren't clusterfucks of railways
-ADD option to choose what special you want to use at the start
