Initially it was just because I like playing defense and area denial, but I also love the feel of explosives-focused characters in games. And it's because I love him too!

As for advice, I'd say situational awareness is important. Junkrat can be devastating if your positioning is good and if you know your way around the map, and it helps if you use your trap as a sort of "alarm" to tell you where the enemy is approaching from. He can also work reasonably well on offense as his mobility makes him great for sneaking behind enemy lines for pincer attacks.

Gameplay Tips:
>Shoot barriers when nothing is going on to raise your damage dealt stat.
>If an enemy is about to die, tag them with your pistol to raise your blaster kills stat.
>If 5 people die in a pile outside the chokepoint, always res it, it won''t do anything but you'll get your res back in 30 seconds anyway and it will raise the amount of sr you get by a lot.
>Similarly, if a fight is won on defense res everyone after. You'll have it back next fight anyway and it won't cost you too many games.
>Wait as long as possible on your res and stop healing after someone dies, it will fuck up your teammate's positioning but you'll res way more without hurting your winrate too much.
>Even if you have your ult and your other support teammate doesn't, continue healing instead of letting them charge theirs. You're giving away Sr if you don't and no one is going to yell at you for doing your job.

Advanced Meta Tips:
>Buy an ssd to ensure you get mercy before anyone else does, you'll probably lose the game if you have another mercy main on your team but you'll lose much less SR than if you tried playing another character.
>If someone else gets her, say you're playing on a controller since your mouse broke, they'll be happy to swap for you.
>If you're stuck playing koth or have what looks to be a bad team, lock in torb to try to get someone to leave before it starts.
>Learn to fake a girl voice, players will be nicer to you when you fuck up and high ranked players will sometimes be willing to carry you

I love high mobility and denial based characters (I tend to play fast zoners in fighting games for the same reason). Her movement options, her chase and burst damage and her damage + ult denial with DM feels so fun to me.

Defense Matrix management is key. Making the most of it is the biggest thing to being a good D.Va.

Sombra

I really like playing fast, get-in-gib-get-out type characters. I like her survivability but most of all, I love shutting down the opposing team. I have bad tracking skills so being able to find weak enemies and finish them off instead of a huge long fight is awesome for me.

The biggest hurdle is EMP timing. If you don't have a good team, it's important to use it at a time you think you can shut down the enemy team alone. I like to do it mid-fight rather than initiate in these circumstances.

Last years items will be coming back, that's certain. They've said before that items would be available again in future versions of the events.

We also know that there's 40+ new items total, and the number of new cosmetics each character gets is as follows:

Also of note is that the Doomfist preview shows Sombra and Soldier 76 using entirely new weapon designs on their base skins, meaning they (and possibly other heroes) will be getting new weapon skins - whether these are part of Summer Games, we don't know, but the logo on Sombra's gun would imply so as it's the same as the logo on Tracer's Summer Games skin from last year.

Honestly I use it as my get out of jail free card. I know some people like to throw it into the fray, but I prefer to

There's usually a health pack that's close by but not utilized by the enemy team very much, so I farm ult on that one. Then whenever I'm able to kill an enemy without hacking them, I hack a health pack closer to the middle of the fight for my teammates/denial.

Winston's ultimate is relatively low value, so you should use it liberally. Your team will only be upset with you for using it if you feed a dangerous ultimate to the enemy, or if you don't have it for contesting in a critical moment.

First and foremost, use it to save your own life if you're about to go down and you know that your death would, by itself, lead to a major team fight loss. On defense, always use it to save yourself if you'd be the first to go down in a team fight. Losing the main tank first on defense means you lose the point 90% of the time.

Secondly, shamelessly solo ult people. If there's a tank near an edge, pop it and punch them off before it's possible for them to react to your ultimate. Use it to confirm kills on high value targets who are about to get away with a fraction of health. Typically the enemy's carry DPS. Use it every chance you get if you know you can finish a Reaper off with it because you must assert dominance.

Watch for any time you get someone with their back to a corner. Pop ult and most targets can't escape. This is almost as good as when they're near an edge, but be aware that you'll feed the fuck out of whoever you kill.

Using it to contest is very important. When ulting 1v6 don't forget to prioritize evasion. Hide behind the payload. Leave site and return to reset the fuse as often as you can before it gets too fast.

If the team absolutely needs you in a fight, but you're respawning, you can use it to return to site very quickly.

On the controller, the initial keybinds for all heroes are pretty bad, but on Lucio (and Genji-but fuck that guy) especially it is abysmal; because to wallride, you would normally have to hold the X button. However this would mean your hand is off the aim stick. To get around this, for literally every character in the game, rebind Jump to L1. By doing this one simple thing, you are able to aim, move and jump at the same time, which is huge when basically nobody else in your match can do it. Also it means that you can really start wallrides on Lucio. Pressing and holding the L1 button is much more smooth for the rides. and by doing this, you become more than just a console Lucio player. you become basically a PC level Lucio. (Low-Mid Masters on console, got placed High Diamond on PC using a controller on my m80's PC)
Also to scale corners, look at each wall and mash L1 until you twig the rhythm to do it fastest. don't worry, you will get it.
Some other bindings i have found useful for other heros which may not be immediately obvious.
-S76 run to L analogue button
-McCree roll to reload/ square
-Bastion deploy to oldjump/X
-Zen buff orbs to relevant analogue stick buttons
-All weapon switches to L analogue button
-Keep all melees to the same button (I use R analogue button), bar Winston and his shield or Zen.
-Stick a spammable voiceline to every hero as their 'main' voiceline, then bind voiceline to L analogue stick (If it is empty) and without knowing it during a the game you will say your spammable line. It's especially good as Lucio shouting 'Can't stop won't stop' whilst wallriding

Aim assist on console is automatically at max, which really fucks your aim up when up close. Change the aim assist window to 0 and aim assist strength to 95, weaning yourself down to a level you are comfortable with. It genuinely helps your aim when scaled down like that

Sensitivity and Aim type has an objective best answer. Get that shit off Exponential ramp or Linear Ramp and straight the fuck onto Dual Zone (see pic), then change Aim smoothing to 75, weaning down to 50-40. It will feel more sensitive than pegging, but after a while you can actually aim using it. Basically put,
-Linear can't differentiate between moving and aiming
-Exponential is just generally shit
-Dual Zone allows you to make the large looking around movements and the small movements for actual aiming
Aim smoothing is the delay between you drastically changing your movement. Make it too small will mean your exact movements are directly copied, which can really fuck your aim up if you go into the 'movement' zone while trying to aim. Make it too big and the delay between 'movement' zone and 'aim' zone will make you feel really sluggish.
By doing this, you can effectively lower your sensitivity without feeling as sluggish as fuck, thus your aim can naturally increase. I currently can go as low as 35H, 45V. If you don't make your aim increments of 5, your diagonal aim will actually have really weird interactions, so just don't


For a final free tip for all Lucio players, don't just spam crossfade. You can use it to control how fast you go for wallrides (Going round convex corners is a biggie) and you can use it to mess with your enemies tracking. If you randomly use crossfade and move horizontally, bouncing off walls in a 1v1 their tracking will just go all over the place-and they will genuinely think they just can't hit you. Doesn't work as well if its a 2v1 as you can't usually move horizontally on 2 people at once.

I got a Symmetra one-trick in a recent comp match. I told the team we should build a comp around her to maximize her value. However, Mr. Rando was having none of it, locking Widowmaker and refusing to play his main. This cascades and we end up with five DPS (Symmetra included) and me on Lucio.

We manage to make some progress, partially because I was pocketing our 65% winrate Symmetra. If everyone around you is hurt, heal in this pattern:

Is someone is getting focused/going 1v6 - heal him, at heals he'll give you free ult charge.
>use your m2 wisely, you can't heal/discord while you are charging/releasing balls, but you can cancel m2 with your melee, so abuse melee

D.va - corner+get behind your teammate, spam her head when possible.

There needs to be another core healer more than anything. Ana is great but she's still not enough alongside Mercy.

Zen is awesome, but his healing is so limited that he can't solo heal (unless you're running 5 DPS or 4 DPS + a tank that can easily heal itself or get to health packs, but even then it's a stretch). So when solo healing you're forced into Ana, Mercy or Lucio, and even then solo heal Lucio is hard to work with.
