Be honest with me, should I commit to OSRS? My favourite RS era was 2008-2010 but I did still play in 2007, I loved RS and I haven't been able to play any multiplayer game since then.

I do like those sort of updates since it keeps the game fresh but are most of those updates for players who are already a high level?
Most I see cater more to them than noobs or average players.

It was fun in 2013-2014 when it was new, and you could make money off skills, and there was no G.E, and everyone was on a relatively same grind

It got less fun in 2014-2015, when G.E was added, playerbase dropped, no new content, and everyone finished most of the endgame content.

It's now funner again in 2016-2018 because of all the new content being added, and the huge amount of new players coming in since the game is a bit more acessible and less tedious.

/vg/ isn't the place for coming back to though, most people here are PvMing or just end-game in general, or maxed. They will shit on you for being new, make fun of you, and treat you like dirt. If you make any accomplishment, like let's say.. finishing dragon slayer, or finishing monkey madness, whatever you do.. DON'T post it in OSG, because you will instantly be met with hate from the majority of elitists here.


tl;dr assessment:
it's fun, don't worry about being new, there's a lot of new players, and expect a lot of nerdy elitism from this general.
