Revenge is only good for boss fights. Withstand and Solemnity are situational if you need him to recover. If you buff his accuracy and damage with trinkets and quirks, you can start letting him swing the moment it's his turn; no need for him to pre-buff. Normally I slap a sun ring on him then decide whether I want speed, prot or damage. Ancestor's signet is pretty good on him too.

It's almost as if DD and CC are separate dungeons and require different strategies for easy clearing. Dodge is inherently inconsistent and will fuck you over eventually if relied on too much. Chevalier stun chance is trash-tier, it's just bad luck for the double hit to actually land one, much less two.

I did get good rolls that run-- a virtue and surviving a death's door hit. It's just harder to put a dent in CC, and they punish you hard for not killing them quick.

Manservant is an upgrade to rapturous cultist. Chevalier hits as hard as ascended brawler at any rank, bleeds as hard too, hits multiple targets, and causes stun.

Shitloads of people had beaten the game by the time crimson court came out, why wouldn't new content be intended to be more challenging than old, completed content? If anything you should be asking for the DD to get buffed since the mobs and challenges there are largely a joke with the right team comp. Rapturous cultists are just a source of free healing and everything is easily stunnable.

All HM keep a self heal, the frontline one a stun, backline ones can stress heal and there's a few guards and the flag around to make sure nobody actually dies.

Yes, you have to kill the Stone Guardian over and over.

The guardian itself will give you a CC trinket and the quest reward will give you another. Plus you can hit jackpot and get some CC trinkets in normal fights or in curios

First time taking on the cannon I was pissing myself because the collector left me half dead and half the party one pip from full stress. Then my GR crit the cannoneer every single time he was called in. This happened so often it reduced everyone's stress to nothing by the time I finally killed it.

Is there some kind of stat that makes something more likely to be critted or something? Like a hidden luck stat or something? It was fucking ridiculous.

Bank was a trap for me.

I thought it was going to let me focus more on getting heirlooms but I quickly got used to having extra money and buying a lot of upgrades, fixing mental illness and locking in quirks. I became obsessed with getting my money to 200,000 so I could rely on 10K a run, only to then become obsessed with upgrading and locking in every single thing I found even somewhat desirable.

I still wonder at what point it applies the 5% increase, I keep finding a few hundred gold disparity between what I think it should be, and all the variables of what it could be.

I still don't know how to apply a permanent crimson curse on her, but so far her skills are about charming enemies and putting a mark on her.

One of her skills (dance with me) sends a monster to the front and casts guard on her for 1 turn.

One is a basic backline hitter move that summons a chevalier. Has a base 55% chance to stun.

Her nuke is where she transforms into her bloodlust form that rams the first two rows. It can only be used once per battle and gives her 20 stress.

After the Nobushi class, I think I'm gonna stay away from too much buffs and debuffs this time and make it simple.

Do you think a no light run is possible? Ignoring those times where you get light for free, of course.

Completely pitch black runs are totally possible, even avoiding +light skills and free torches. Probably better off just doing a light run while ignoring treasure curios and backtracking to grab them in pitch black, unless you just want the challenge.

Heroes with good quirks, or experienced recruits you get after upgrading the stagecoach, since they already have their skills and equipment leveled to their level's maximum. For stress relief only upgrade the Cloister in the Abbey, it's the cheapest along with the Bar, with the difference the Bar can make you lose important trinkets.
Don't waste time into stress relief if your heroes are below 45%, if you play safe and know your curios you should be able to end a lot of runs with low stress.
Camping in medium and long runs has way more strategy to it than what it seems at first: the timing is important since you can cure and reset the light levels, and there are really great camping abilities. After I got a bit of experience I found that I can run no-healer teams easier in long missions (2 camps) than in short ones.

Personally the negative quirks are the key for me.
First of all there are trivial negative quirks that you should consider beneficial because they take space of what would be way worse quirks.
Basically, if your character doesn't want to do stress relief in any site that's not the Cloister, or if you have a melee char with quirks that fuck up his range moves: through a process of selection and curing those that are already decent, by the time I'm going for veteran missions I tend to end up with characters that have 5 negative quirks but only 1 affects him slightly.
So at the start I'd say don't care at all about your heroes: if one accumulates too many actual bad quirks (like 3-4 only as level 1) get rid of him and get new ones, otherwise trying to cure all of the quirks you want will consume too much time and the money isn't worth it either. At some point you'll have level 3 heroes with a bunch of banal "bad" quirks and with too much investment into their abilities/equipment, so it's worth it to waste a bit of money to cure the occasional quirk off them.

I took a BH, Occ, Jester, and Arbalest. Jester because the others had some stress already and I wanted to control it. He was there just to buff the party and bleed the enemy. Then I forgot to switch skills going into the boss fight, so I couldn't clear the marks. My BH died just before the swine king. Retreat failed. I didn't have the positional skills to hit Wilbur in rank one with anyone but the occultist, who was constantly stunned. So Wilbur killed everyone.

So I exited to main menu and deleted the save.

It's random, that's why reducing party surprised chance is valuable, since it can happen even on radiant light and really fuck you up in the first turn. Unless you're using a shuffler party where it isn't a huge concern.

But the court is just kind of hanging out until you break down their door and start pushing their shit in. The curse wouldn't even have spread if you don't go in and get infected. Even the only person maddeningly obsessed with killing them is depicted as an insane asshole. I wonder how like the ancestor the inheritor actually is after everything.
