I as a nostalgiafag who really really misses old(Classic/TBC/Wrath) WoW understand the draw of old servers, but IMO its a sirens song. What made it special was its timing and the people who were present, friends and enemies alike. Join those farm portal groups to get 850 in an hour/get legendaries. Then apply for mythic plus/normal tomb groups to get to 900+.

Going from 850 to the 880~ needed to get into normal groups is a little awkward but with one legendary and titan forging changes are you'll hit that in a few days
