I might be retarded, I can't react to throw breaks at all. I know you're supposed to look at what arm is coming first but when they throw 5 different moves at me and then go for a throw it all just becomes a blur.

I'm trying to decide between maining King or Hwoa.
I like Hwoa's flexibility in stances and his strong mixup game for direct attacks.
On the other hand though, King has some sweet throws, and running through the execution on them is fun as shit.
Is there anything one has over the other that can help me decide which to run with?

Unfortunately, it seems like people fucking hate both of these characters and I'll probably get a lot of shit for playing either one.

You can't really have that live chat about what is punishable what is high, etc. So if someone gimmicks you offline and you ask them they'll tell you and you'll probably never get gimmicked by it again. If someone gimmicks you online you gotta hold that and go to training mode and go through that characters 70+ move list and find the exact meme you got hit by and record it in training mode, and spend 3 minutes figuring out all the ways you can beat it. That's if you are lucky enough to own a PS4 and view the recording. If you are on PC you gotta hold that unless you record all of your matches or remember the specific move(s).

more grab break opportunities = more chances for it to be broken

Standing Heel Hold is by far the best tree because it has the shortest combos so it's more likely you'll get the whole thing through, and since Bridge MUST be broken at Indian Death Lock or else you'll take the full 95 damage you're very likely to get one of the other two for free when King goes for it
Arm Breaker is second best, Reverse Special Stretch Bomb and Reverse Arm Slam come out really obviously so are usually broken by the initial grab, Cobra Clutch is really risky

When you say the Cobra Clutch is really risky, do you mean there's a good chance you won't pull it off, or that there's a good chance you'll eat shit for trying it?

Like, is there any reason to not try going for it even at least once in a while? Even though it might not connect and has more chances to be broken, it's got brutal damage on the main finish and a wide variety of still dangerous other options if you want to throw off your opponent mid-grab.

what are the differences between all the Mishimas EWGFs? I know that Kazuya's can come out a frame faster because you can skip the down input, and I know that Jin's has less push back on block making it slightly better for pressure.
