Gonna compile all my reasons why theres probably a "Squid Sisters do something outside single player update" soon after launch.

The devs already said Cuttlefish might come back, Marie adding this detail makes it seem like nintendo justifying not having whatever the Squid Sisters do in game at launch. "Oh, Marie had to guard Octavio, but now Cuttlefish is back so she doesn't anymore"

The whole story was building to saving Callie and bringing her and Marie back together, so having them off doing their seprate things as soon as the final boss fight ends doesn't make sense. It feels like a temporary lazyness because the Sisters are going to do something in an update soon so having her be in Octo Canyon for the first month or 2 isn't a priority since she's just gonna move anyway to do whatever the update has her do.

I live in a tiny city. There's pros and cons to living here. Things like ultra cheap taxis, the bullet train running along the west side of the country and super cheap living expenses are great. Things like the entire country being a dump, minimal sanitary and safety standards and being a foreigner you're constantly being tracked kind of suck.

It's also kind of surreal finding out how little of the outside world (past or present) the people I work with know.

Long story short - It's great to visit for a couple weeks but I've been here nearly 2 years and don't suggest living here. It's not easy.

I've also really been itching for a standard deathmatch since the start.

I want it to go all Halo 2 with being able to play as the Octolings, so deathmatches are Inklings/Octolings.

I'm actually really impressed at how they handled Judd and Li'l Judd.
I love how they answered the question of "what will happen when Judd, the last living cat on Earth, dies?" with "The squids just clone another Judd." It's perfect. I'm let down by the rest of the story, but that bit is cool.

I think Splatoon 3 is gonna be the big one. Since Splatfests are gonna be going on for the next 2 years, that gives the devs much more time to develop the third game. We probably won't be seeing Splatoon 3 until the end of the Switch's lifecycle, I wouldn't call Splatoon 2 a letdown, but I was expecting a little bit more desu. Oh well though, I'll still play the fuck out of it.

You really think they would've learned something about making the game more accessible and expanding on something. There's no way they can make Octolings the bad guys in the third game since that would just be beyond stale at this point.

Even for this game, it feels rehashed. The theme is the same, and I barely feel anything different. This was, at best, basically a multiplayer expansion pack to Splatoon 1.

The devs decided to make Marie the pure one and Callie a slut.
This works for the JP version because Marie is bland as shit over there. It's an extension of their dichotomy: Marie is mellow, Callie is bubbly; Marie is white-haired, Callie is dark-haired; Marie is pure, Callie is not. It doesn't work as well in the NA version b/c Callie has the sweeter personality.
It also feels weird seeing Marie in the hero role.
