yeah, pynn is a pve build designed to be easy to farm for, it has way less damage than a typical pvp build and has an unnecessary amount of stamina for pvp. on my designated pvp i win about 70% of my fights, at fc earlier today I had a streak of 9 in a row

almost every single one of those webms is me dealing all of the damage, normally by landing an unlocked cannon shot at a distance, would be the same without the other people there. where did I say the word many? nice reading comprehension

I mean sure I can give it the ol' 'poison knives and walk backwards' but fuck if I can figure out how to fight this bastard in melee

He doesn't stagger for anything, seems like his attacks stun me longer than anything else in the game so I eat his entire flailing combo and die, and going to his sides just runs me into his wide angle backhand. Plus he's fast as shit so keeping distance and attacking with slower weapons just gives me trades at best and counterhits at worst.

I'm so tired of buying 20 poison knives and slowly walking backwards for 15 minutes everytime I find an abhorrent beast

i always fc on pynn for a bit first to get some insight to buy ritual mats, my pvp build is flynn chynn
that post wasnt me, i was barely here last week
most of the shots i land are either because they are dodging predictably or because I know they are about to heal. pynn has 40 vit and one clock rune, a good ambush would almost always kill me, but most of the time we get attacked head on and then its just predictionas to where to shoot. ive only been killed 3 times by invaders to spelunks and thats always been because they just rushed me and put me into a straight pvp situation, which the build is not suited for. when an invader actually is smart and set ambushes like what gud hunter did then chunky builds don't do very well, i only beat him by, again, predicting what he was going to do

Hunter's Nightmare is where hunters who give into their bloodlust go.

Hunter's Nightmare is showing the "past" to a degree but it's not literally the past 1:1 like it happened because it's a nightmare where things are a twisted version of what really happened.

Like the Fishing Hamlet irl was probably not full of merpeople as it is in the game, it's because it's a nightmare realm.

Research Hall is probably fairly close to what it was really like in the past. One of the spine-chilling moments in the DLC is when you get to the Lumenwood Garden and realize that the ayylmaos there in the "present" day UCW were what became of the bloathead patients in Research Hall.

Tinge weapons Or wheel makes for best twinks. Wheel builds are a bit more versatile in melee wep backup choices (you can make nasty amy arms witj flats that wreck thru walls)

Cannon builds are for nice thrills

or mild dex to get a burial or bom with %+flats

I just continued with the DLC yesterday and have made it to OoK. it hasn't been as bad as some make it out to be but I've also been using the whirligig, helps a tremendous amount. decked out with the best gems too. I got two viscerals on Ludwig that ended up being the final blows.

Alright, after having getting 100% in this game, I can honestly say this is the worst souls game by far.

Trick weapons are awesome, but enemies don't drop weapons, the loot is shit, magic is weird, many items are useless.

npcs are terrible, quest lines are pointless and boring.

The world is badly designed and small.

Dungeons, good idea on paper, kind of shit and repetitive, get useless loot, run to lever, rinse and repeat. You can get rare gems, but those are only useful for twinks.

And that brings me to my last point.. and maybe this isn't fair because it's 2017, but online/pvp is dead shit. There's no point in invading. It looks like they just tacked on covenants when they finish the game. The only people invading now are twinks. I summoned when I could, because it was nice to be around other hunters, but the summoning is really badly designed.

Interesting game overall, but the execution of everything felt lazy.

You should check out the glyphs in the OP, they're convenient for sparring with people ITT without interruptions. The easiest to access is the Pthumeru one which you only need the first Pthumeru root chalice for, then just search for the glyph, go into the big circular room, and ring your sinister bell and wait for a match
