I think it's just like "automatic" magic that Donald has prepared. He doesn't completely know exactly what will happen; it's just attuned to "world order". Honestly I kind of hope Donald acts more like a jerk in this game, but preferably he behaves livid instead.

Jack Skellington being a mage makes sense.
His whole world is crazy nonsensical magic Halloween/Christmas madness. He is the Pumpkin King and on Halloween anyone can e anything; so imagine what it's like to live in a world where not only is it always Halloween, but it purely is Halloween.

As for Ariel, well her father is a mermaid King who has very powerful (but vague) powers channeled through a trident, and Ursula, a sea witch, is well known. So it's possible that Ariel might know a little bit of magic and probably should since she's King Triton's daughter.

I don't remember Ariel's spells looking that strong. I noticed her attacking normally more than using magic.

If I recall, the only spell Ariel use was Aero, she most just did a corkscrew at the enemy. Out of all the party members/summons, she's the one I was never really sold on because it never felt like there was much to work with so they just stuck things there.

I don't even know what Sora, Donald and Goofy would even do. Pocahontas isn't the type of movie where you can make a world not based on the movies plot. Or at least I don't think you could without shoving away a few characters or making the world really boring, or having to make new characters.

Also the music is what really made the movie Pocahontas.

Disney pretty much did a little announcement that Disney Animation Studios was going to be working with SE on KH3. (y'know instead of only Disney Interactive.)

We have no idea. It's all a mystery until someone gets to talk to the SE and Disney staff and they aren't assassinated before blabbing. Honestly though the people that do know probably aren't allowed to talk about the more in depth stuff.

Based off what I remember from the credits of the old games: Produced/owned mostly by Disney, developed by Square Enix and helped by Disney Interactive. I think in the first game (and maybe KH2), Buena Vista was also involved, but I don't remember Buena Vista being mentioned again after that.

One thing I remember was that Utada's band members were Canadian in like the first or second game, which was pretty funny.

Anyone else dislike how passive all the heartless are seeming? During a lot of the outside fight they're just wandering around staring at walls as Sora wails on them all. Even in the mech fights they all seem to either be distracted or fighting each other.
