So... about the Su-27M, Su-35, Su-35S and Su-37.
The Su-35S has no canards. The Su-27M and Su-37 have them.
Did the Su-35 have them or not? There was this anon a few threads back arguing that the Su-35 we see in AC5 is modelled after the Su-27M rather than the production Su-35, while later titles' Su-35 are modelled after the modernized production model, the Su-35S.
>>
>>182545756
The SU-27M has canards. The original design of the SU-35 had canards, but those became unnecessary with the he introduction of TVC

What are some design features not present on any flanker?
Single engine is technically present under the form of the S-54/55/56 (pic related is the S-56, the others were trainers).
Off the top of my head I can list 4.5 style stealth memery and delta wings.

>>182545850

Propellers
>>
>>182546741
Well played.
>>
>>182545850
Right, the Su-27M was the original design of the Su-35. The next generation of Flankers was to include all sorts of avionics, engine, fire control and radar upgrades, which they did, but like you said, TVC and all the various upgrades, including the first glass cockpit in a Flanker, resulted in the canards getting axed. Also the Su-35 saw the removal of that vertical airbrake, in favor of the vertical tail acting as the brake. Braking using the control surfaces is always, always superior to a dedicated speed brake.

Would it be THAT bad? I mean, other than changing the wing shape and maybe removing the horizontal stabilizers, a smoothed out cranked arrow delta wouldn't look that bad, unless I'm missing something big.

>>
>>182550869
If you overlap the canards and main wing it's going to really fuck it up.

Try putting them above the intake and forward of the wing for optimal design.
>>
while I was doing some yardwork 2 f-22s and an f16 flew over my house
didn't get pics tho, they were pretty fastboys
>>
>>182550869
I see. Are there other glaring mistakes I might've made?
Or just tweaks you find would work better?
>>
>>182550869
To elaborate on>>182551021 a low canard creates a low pressure area on the underside of the main wing, which produces a strong pitch down force. They also decrease total available lift compared to have no canard at all, making them strictly detrimental.

Or you could put the canards in a configuration similar to the T-50, where there is a part of the wing extending over the intakes and the canards are attached to that wing, not the main body.
Looking at it this way, the T-50 seems like a Delta Wing Flanker.

They're great to see in person.

Back when F-22s were still being manufactured they'd fly over my house on test flights all the time. They'd always look like pic related, and from the ground I couldn't really see the lines, so when I first saw it I was convinced the USAF's new cutting edge plane was made out of copper.

>>182551545
Actually, taking into account that the Flanker's intakes are already situated on the underside of the fuselage, moving LERXs wouldn't be bad.
>>
What do my buddies over at /aceg/ think of Sky Rogue? I played a bit of it yesterday and while I think the flying is pretty fun, it could really use some more varied objectives and maps.
Are there any other fun PC games similar to Ace Combat? I'm already set to check out HAWX, but I don't think it's going to be enough to hold me over until 7.

>>
>>182554418
Actually scratch that, they're fine where they are. Perhaps make the main wing a little deeper, and maybe try for a bubble canopy.
>>
>>182554538
Deeper as in more sweep? I modelled the greenhouse canopy (and much of the front) on a MiG-3, given that there was no Sukhoi OKB.
A Spitfire XVIII canopy should look good.
>>
>>182554954
Deeper as in they go further down the fuselage. Spitfire canopy should work perfectly fine.

>>
Whew, not even a hundred replies in and we already managed to design two new aircraft.

All this memery made me remember about fucking Vector Thrust and his fictional planes.
"A production mishap that resulted in over 200 Su-47 aircraft having their wings installed backwards resulted in the limited deployment of the Su-74 Tukreb. Despite the mistake, the aircraft remains flyable, with improved speed performance but decreased mobility because of the conventionally-swept wings. As all other electronics and weaponry remain intact, the Tukreb boasts similar offensive, support, and defensive capabilities as the Berkut. Because of this, combat performance has been judged to be on-par with the Su-47. "

It's probably not too far out there to have swept canards. But they didn't use wing sweep for speed reasons in WW2 IIRC. More just to move the centre of pressure around.

Here's the swept canard version.
I think the only WW2 "memes" this design lacks are inverted gull wings, jet engines, rocket engines, night-attack radars and double-fuselages. Which ones did I forget?
But maybe it was designed so it could be retrofitted into the MiG-11S / MiG-13 jet or rocket powered fighter, like the J7W1 or the Shinryu.

Just beat ACX on hard!

Great game, but the story wasn't quite as satisfying as I'm used to... probably in part because the VA - aside from the narrator - is ridiculously bad. Many games are said to have bad VA even though they're fine, because a lot of people have no clue about what constitutes as good or bad acting. But ACX is one of the only games I've played where I felt that the acting was actually bad.

The tunnel at the end definitely got me a bit worried. The Fenrir fight had worn me down, and I didn't want to lose!
The Meson Cannon was tough too! Couldn't destroy it all because it would've been suicide. Still got an S though somehow.

I never met this Naiad that everybody memed about. I guess I took a different route through the game. Shame!

Also the soundtrack is absolutely incredible and cool as fuck! Very electronic (though not quite as abstract as AC3's music) with a few hints of orchestra and rock! Very Invincible Fleet-esque, a lot of the tracks. It's got quite a dystopian feel overall.

>>
>>182575708
Ah right, I'd forgotten about that bit. If I'm reading your question right, you're asking about the red bits on the leading edge of the wing, as well as the circular red thing that's in the mounting that used to hold the 20mm cannon, correct?

To keep dirt/debris/moisture out of the barrels especially water which could freeze and expand as the a/c climbed to high altitude.

Remember, every 1,000ft you climb it gets roughly 2 degrees c colder.
>>
>>182576108
I'm wondering what the entire "bulge" is. It's right besides what is obviously a machine gun, but I can't guess it's purpose.
Period photographs show it as a dark spot, which could very well be a red spot, given how B&W works and that the machine guns on their side don't have covers.
>>
>>182576379
You're referring to the bulge just outboard of the very long obviously a gun thing in the picture you posted, right?
>>
>>182576331
I'm not sure exactly what he's referring to by the "red things next to the machine guns". If he's talking about the little red squares on the leading edge of the wings, those red squares used to denote where on the wing the MG barrel was, but they've had the hole for the actual gun covered over. the only other red things I see are intake covers and some sort of stopper put in the hole that used to hold the Hispano
>>
>>182577232
That's it. I drew it on the MiG-11 besides all four guns with the red cover, in case that helps to get what I mean across.

No, the red stuff is pretty much just tarp over the gunports. Or metal, depending on what the wing is armed with because the Spitfire's later wings could be fitted with both 1 .50cal or 2 .30cal machineguns next to the cannon. Alternatively 4 20mms.

>>182576379
The small bulge next to the 20mm is where the barrel of the .50cal or another 20mm would sit. It bluges out where as the .30cals don't.
>>
>>182577607
I'm refering to the bulge between 10 and 9, right beside the Hispano gun muzzle.

Now on to Joint Assault soon.

The Japanese logo is great!
The Western one is a bit shit in comparison. And the subtitle should never be as big as the title! I agree the omission of "X2" though, because it makes it seem as though X and it are connected, when they're anything but! In fact, Skies of Deception shouldn't be called X either I think, because it seems to mean nothing! Or rather, I thought it could be the Southern Cross, but then why would JA have the X too? Maybe it's just a designation for it being a portable game as they often like(d) to do. Which is dumb though.
I do prefer the Tokyo Tower cover over the Golden Gate Bridge one though!
Not that any of it matters since I'm emulating and have never seen the covers IRL, but I find these things fascinating.

The first home-platform AC in the real world! (I think the original arcade games were also in the real world, right?)
But because it's not AH, it's probably great anyway!
I wonder how it came about though. I would like to think it was just an honest experiment, to see how if it would work. But maybe they were trying to push for AC to become more popular in the West, which AH would try even harder to accomplish, though it failed in typical "western-style reboot" fashion. Since AH came only a year later, it's possible that a shift to real world settings was their plan. They even got Inon Zur for the music in JA, but it was the usual cast for AH again.

Now, I think there's nothing wrong at all with having a quality AC game set in the real world. But I do value the long-established lore and world a lot and would like for such real world settings to be kept to one-offs or even a spin-off series. I could definitely get behind that.

I'm very interested to see what JA has to offer story-wise. It could be pretty cool.
Also interested to hear the music, which is by Inon Zur rather than the all-stars at Bamco. He's a great composer, but I wonder how he handled AC, it's not the kind of game he usually scores.
>>
>>182575713
The Su-27! I got the Su-37 but the game was soon over when I started using it. The F-22 was too expensive, and I like to give the Russian planes some love sometimes, beause fuck muh freedums!

You can definitely see the setup for AC3 in the original and incredibly futuristic aircraft like the Apalis and such. I think one even has COFFIN technology? It has a closed cockpit with lights on it anyway.

Favourite mission is a hard one, the game is honestly kind of a blur, but the missions were overall very fun and very objective-based too. The one where you have to protect allies and destroy bridges was interesting and difficult.
But I think the final mission with the battle against the Fenrirs was great, there was definitely pressure there.
But really a lot of the missions were great, especially towards the end. Then there was also the one where it rained, which look great. I don't think I've seen an AC mission with rain in it since the PS1 games. Maybe I don't remember.

What do you mean? I mean, I can understand where the sentiment comes from, I did feel like I was overdoing it with my essays there, but fuck me if I'm gonna delete all of it!
And I love games - especially great ones like AC - and when they provide me with things to talk and speculate about, I just have to do it.

>>182579505
American planes are great! But I like to go with the underdog sometimes, out of spite, and I wouldn't want the Russian planes to feel neglected. Russian planes are never represented on AC covers, and neither are they or their country very popular IRL, which is somewhat deserved I suppose, but it's not as tough the US are better! So that's where that comes from.

I have absolutely no knowledge on russian WW2 aircraft weaponry, so tbqh I've been playing it by ear. I'm using british guns as an acceptable approximation.
Advice on the matter would be more than welcome, though.
>>
>>182581397
>>182581950
Just put 12.5-20mm ShVAKs everywhere, that's a safe bet for russian armament.

Sometimes a completely oversized gun with no real advantages like a 37mm or 45mm.

In all seriousness, late more common armaments have been either 2x 12.5mms and a 20mm or 2x 20mm or more
>>
>>182581950
Just put 12x7.62mm ShKAS in the wings like it's a Slavshit Hurricane Mk. IIB.
>>
>>182581950
So generally, if you're shooting for a mix of 12.7s and 20s, you'll be slinging ShVAKs or Berezins, probably one per each of your four weapon stations in the wings plus two more mounted to fire through the props. You could probably substitute some NS-23 23mm guns, although that wouldn't make sense unless you go full 23mm for parts commonality, but hey it's an option
>>
>>182582395
>>182582849
>>182582869
After a bit of digging, 20mm guns (Hispano equivalent) were the Berezin B-20 and the ShVAK 20mm version.
For browning replacement there's the Berezin UB or the 12.7mm ShVAK.
Then there's the Nudelman N-37 37mm cannon mounted on the MiG-9, MiG-15 and MiG-17 amongst others, so it would make sense that it would be used on the 11 too (MiG-13 used Berezin B-20s).
What sort of caliber did nose machine guns have, back in the day?

It just happens that this is one of the first search results for "Hurricane Mk IIB".
>>
>>182583137
Started at 7.62mm and then went up to 12.5mm as the war went on.
Cannons pretty much stayed around 20mm for fighters, 30mm on some german ones for bomber killing.
>>
>>182583416
>30mm for bomber killing
I can't fathom why russians developped a 37mm canon then.
>>
>>182583137
If you're talking about just any gun that was mounted in the nose, then caliber could range from 7.62 up to 30mm. If you're talking about guns that fired straight down the propeller shaft (motorkanone, to steal the German term), those were usually 20mm or 30mm guns
>>
>>182583570
Well the idea was to put a very heavy cannon on a plane in order to allow it to effectively intercept bombers quickly (slam one or two 37mm HE rounds in and watch it fall) while giving it limited antitank capability with AP rounds. Most major air forces experimented with the idea of a high-caliber cannon on an aircraft at some point, but only the russians held on to that idea into the jet age

>>182583570
Tank killing. Pretty sure the IL2 had some pretty good gunpods, and later standard armament involving 37mms. Then those got kinda useless because Panzers got tougher.

They were put on a few fighters IIRC. Which probably has to do with the soviet doctrine dictating that the guns not be fired unless the target fills the front windscreen IIRC. So they just went for as many and as big a cannons as possible, with zero ammo.

The other explanation is that they were just ruskis. But most of their planes are sensibly armed.
>>
>>182584052
Just looked around, and it looks like there were a few thousand Il-2s with 37mms, but their effectiveness was very limited, and their production was discontinued in favor of Il-2s with the VYa-23

I believe the aircraft gun to be the the shorter one. The leftmost item seems to be a rocket launch rail, and the one next to it has a grip which would indicate it was used either as an AA/vehicle or defensive gun. Far right is completely out of the question, leaving on the 2nd from the right.

I mean, it's super retarded (typical of USSR). A more practical solution would have been to simply dump flechettes while overflying the enemy position. Lazy Dogs were used to great effect in vietnam because they could penetrate the triple canopy and hit with the same force as a .50 cal round simply from gravity.
>>
>>182586091

Make the front exhausts like the rear ones and not as long. So about 5-6 small ones instead of the 3 you have now.

Here you go lads! The YF-23 as a biplane and a twin-boom, propeller driven F-117.
The F-117 ended up taking a lot of space. I had suggested the P-61 because it was a night fighter, but I went with the P-38. Night was a stealthdimensional phenomena back in the day.
Just kidding, I wanted to check if you liked the silhouette before I moved on to drawing it. I decided to keep the stealthdimensional geometries and put push props reminescent of the XB-35. What do you think about it?

I feel like the front of the F-117's booms shouldn't go forward of the wings, have them end in a point at the front of the wing. Keeps the sharp look of the Nighthawk. Or maybe model them more like the intakes of the engines than the cockpit again.

Alright anon, riddle me this.

In an average shotgun offense, with 2 tight ends and a running back, with the defense in a 3-4 with the safeties playing cover 1 'man', what's the average assignment of the strong side linebacker?

A. Spy the QB
B. Drop into coverage
C. Shoot the 'B' gap and attempt to sack the QB
>>
>>182647285
I used to use Corel programs and I'd say it's a definite improvement, but since I don't have experience with other post-2010 software, so I honestly can't give an opinion for the matter. It works well enough for me that I never found the need to change programs.
Colouring is fine with layers and different brushes provide different effects, but I don't think it's that much different to, say, Photoshop.

If nobody comes up with something that trumps this one in terms of appeal, I'll make the bastard child of an F-16XA Sakerfalcon and the F-16XF Gyrfalcon. I'll call it F-16XM Lannerfalcon, following the naming scheme.
Would you like it to be COFFIN-equiped or glass cockpit?

Ok, what style of canards would you like: Euro, Su-33 or CF-44 style? F-16XF air intake mounted ones?

Nice. To be perfectly honest, I'm not that crazy about the idea of a cranked-wing planform on a Flanker, but actually seeing it here, it looks pretty good. Excited to see some other angles.
>>
>>182653894
I chose the cranked delta because it conserves the original wing shape of the flanker, it's mostly about moving it back and adding the front half of the wing.

Fuck

AW was the only hope, then they added artillery, and it was all downhill from there.
>>
>>182668646
Honestly, I don't think artillery was what killed AW, it was the publishers hamstringing any good ideas from the developers. My.com wanted a modern WoT clone, Obsidian wanted a tank arcade shooter with its own unique flavor, and My.com screwed them over because of the difference
>>
>>182668646
WT ground stuff is alright. But it's a grindfest as usual.

Low tier is fun. Prepare to be oneshot a lot tho. It gets worse the higher tier you go.
>>
>>182668646
Obsidian tried. Arty wasn't what killed it since AW arty was significantly less cancerous than WoT arty, and they were trying out new things like the PvE missions and that one PvP mode with the big map and extra objectives and shit that actually made it different from WoT.

Then the slavs sacked them to turn it into a shit WoT clone and that was the end of that.

Possibly, to be fair at least AC3 isn't overly expensive or anything. But what's the point if you're just going to rip the ISO and play it on an emulator anyway.

It makes even less sense if you own a copy of export 3.
>>
>>182683952
It's not like there's a way to import AC3 and support Bamco. At best you could buy a Japanese copy on PSN, but you can't patch that.
>>
>>182683220
There's a string of comments on that video about the selection of the YF-22 over the YF-23.
Was the YF-23 really the better fighter in all parameters considered during the trials but low-speed maneuverability?
>>
>>182684312
I believe it came down to the fact that the YF-23 was stealthier but the YF-22 was more maneuverable.
>>
>>182684445
From what I gather, it was only more maneuverable at low speed, post-selection considerations not withstanding.
>>
>>182684312
>>182684445
I honestly know fuck all about the selection that happened between those two. All I know is that these kind of decisions are always a lot of politics and shit even if they shouldn't be.

It has killed many good planes.
>>
>>182684312
They were pretty much equal, but the YF-23 had some unforeseen flaws such as a fuselage design that meant it would develop stress fractures around the internal weapons bay, and basically rely on more maintenance to keep it from twisting apart. Also, Northrop hadn't tested live fire from the aformentioned weapons bays yet, while the YF-22 had.

Okay /aceg/, I figure at least one person here knows more about the PS2 than I do since the best games in the series are exclusive to it, so I'm gonna ask my question here. My PS2 has been unable to save to memory cards for whatever reason for a while now, so I've been leaving my PS2 on 24/7 to play through all of the games. Right now I'm trying to 100% Zero, which is gonna take a lot longer than just running through the campaign of the other games on normal once and calling it a day. How long can I expect to keep my PS2 on without it wigging out on me? I've kept it on for around 5 days now and it seems fine but I don't want it dying on me all of the sudden since I bought this thing maybe 15 years ago now.
Also, to keep this post related to the thread, are there any special unlock conditions for the planes in Zero? I know that the different Ace Styles give you different planes, but is there more to it in order to get all of them?

the PS2, Xbox, and gamecube were the last true consoles. all they are is hardware with a bios. they can be left running indefinitely, like an arcade cabinet.

Leaving a console on continuously is typically not that bad for it provided that it can dissipate heat faster than it builds up. Sitting at a constant temperature isn't as stressful on the components as normal use where they are heated up and cooled off in cycles that allow for contraction/expansion.

It's not like I'm completely adverse to buying a replacement, but this was my first console and I've grown pretty attached to it over the years, especially as of late where I find myself going back to the older titles more often.
>>
>>182693097
>15-year-old PS2
>running for 5 days
Well, you're not doing it any favours like that, I don't know if they were designed to be running for that long.
As with any hardware though, as long as it isn't 30°C and its vents aren't blocked by anything it should be fine. Proper ventilation is key!

What I would be worried about though is the disc drive and reader, because those are the real fragile parts.
If it were me, I'd open the disc drive when I'm not playing, to stop it from spinning the disc and - depending on the menu you're in - streaming music or perhaps even the backgrounds if that's video data, though I doubt it.

i did this with my fat ps2 all the time, longest i left it on was ~3 days whenever there was a long weekend (no classes on friday or monday) and it still works, the lens is a little weak now though so i got a 128gb ssd to play off of

if you didn't abuse your ps2 (dropping it/putting it near carpet or pets/not covering it when dusting your room/smoking while playing) then it'll work just fine
>>
>>182695823
DESU, fat PS2s are tanks.
I got one Christmas of 2000 and that fucker is still going strong on the occasions where I use it, it's easily the single most used electronic device I've ever had
>>
>>182694308
I recently had to get a replacement PS2 slim because my old one would not turn on when the power cable was inserted meaning the red light never switched on. Even the replacement has been having some difficulty powering on as it requires wiggling the cable for the light to switch on. I've replaced the adaptor so it's not an issue with that. Just to let you know that some models have these problems and might short out at times when playing so be sure to save often (assuming it doesn't cut out while saving.)

If your replacement has that issue I would recommend not touching the power cable if the red light is constant. Try to stick it down if you can and if th LED bothers you, unplug it from the socket so not to risk long term damage to the PS2 itself. They are getting on in their age.
>>
>>182696317
>>182695823
The fat PS2s seem quite a bit more robust than the slim.
>>
>>182696398
yeah you should get a fat ps2 sold by a mom whose kid grew old and is focused on their career so mommy is now selling their old stuff they left behind because she's sad whenever she sees their child's things in the house because it makes her remember them and they never visit anyway

those types of ps2s are the ones that are usually taken good care of

I dunno man, mine lasted for 5 years, then it couldn't read DVDs for shit anymore. Meanwhile, my slim PS2 has been doing great for soon 10 years.

I think slim versions of any console are more robust than the fat version. The fat PS2 is especially at a disadvantage because of its disc drive that can easily fuck up. The compactness of the slim PS2's design makes it so there's less room for the hardware to get fucked up too, I think!
Of course a fat PS2 can evidently last a long time as well, but I think slim ones have much less going against them.

Plus, slim PS2s are CUTE! I mean, all PS2s are, really, but the slim one is just so beautifully compact! It's a real engineering miracle.

>>
on the topic of the PS2, if anyone has a PS2 capable of it and is willing to send me a memory card, I can install freemcboot which lets you easily softmod it.

Any fat ps2 is capable of it and any slim ps2 with an external power brick is too.

Don't know if this general is still getting a lot of traffic, but I figure it's still the best place to ask: what are some good flight (+combat) sims I can play on pc? I didn't have consoles growing up and I haven't played any of the major Ace Combat titles, but Ace Combat Advance was basically my first videogame ever. I don't care if it was a disgrace to the franchise; I loved that shit to death. Same goes for the iOS AC game, which was the only other AC I've played.

So now I'm looking for a quality air (or space) combat game. I just finished House of the Dying Sun on steam, which was quite good, but I don't see much else on the steam store that looks worthwhile. I'm looking for something with a modern or futuristic setting (not WWII etc), and most everything I've seen on steam in that department looks utterly flavorless. The Ace Combat series actually has character; should I just try to get a playstation emulator working and play the old titles? I kind of want something with more modern graphics, but that's not a dealbreaker. Also, give me your honest opinions on AC Assault Horizons. I hope I'm not committing a sin by mentioning it around here, but do you think it would be hard for someone to enjoy, if that person is new to the AC games and won't be comparing AH to the classics?
>>
>>182759054
Emulate the PS2 games.
Only play AH if you got it for 1 dollar.

Is there a mod for AH that gets rid of DFM dependency? Honestly the only reason i wanna fly AH is for the pretty planes. Otherwise i only have 4 , 5, and 0. Dont have a ps4 to play Infinity, otherwise i would be playing that for pretty planes.
>>
>>182759461
The mod is Infinity, and it's on the PS3
>>
>>182759054
Emulate the PS2 games if your PC can handle it, guide is in the OP somewhere, games are in the Mega.

If not the PSX and PSP games run on a toaster and are just as good albeit the PSX ones lack the story and japanese AC3 is an outlier with a lot of cyberpunk

AH is garbage in that the DFM is forced and also doesn't really work all that well in most cases, nevermind that it is an instawin button. The final fight is horrible even if it wasn't an Ace Combat game. There is some fun to be had with the evasive maneuvers when it works properly and some of the missions are fun, but it is hardly worth it unless you can get it for really cheap.

That's pretty much it for Ace Combat games.

There is also Vector Thrust on steam, which is fun enough for the challenges and mission editor, can't speak for the campaign. It plays pretty much like Ace Combat, but it's also effectively in development hell and not comming out of it. there is enough content if you can get it for 5-10.- in my opinion.

Sky Rogue is a roguelike with planes and AC like gameplay.

That's about it for what else there is on steam to my knowledge.

How long after Nagase is shot down does White Noise take place?

Listening to this BGM is very uplifting:

With Ace Combat being a Japanese action game franchise with its music tracks composed by Japanese composers, it's always guaranteed to feature many memorable and uplifting BGMs.

So, judging by the hangar theme disco wil probably be the recurring BGM style of AC7, then?

"YS flight" simulator is fun to mod and do different modes with, plus combat multiplayer with friends.
The game is 100% free forever, graphics suck ass (it's all simple polygons) but plane models get infinitely better with user mods. I have a ton of AC superplanes and other cool shit beyond the game modded in and I play with friends on a custom server. It's supposed to forcus on plane combat and some BVR stuff anyways.

The community is really small (since it released back in 1999 and was originally for Linux, never popularized) but if people from /aceg/ start playing it (it's essentially a first-person game) there's a chance it could come back. They have/had squadrons that would fight each other before and LARP combat and so. They enjoy using AC lore too, a few squadrons are based around the conflict with Emmeria and Estovakia and Osea.

I personally love the game, having more people to play it with would be great.

Just don't expect to carry 152 missiles

That is the only issue with AC1 and 2. But I never had too much of a problem with the PS2 d-pad, it works well enough, the one on the xbox controller or PSP tends to work a bit better for those two games though.

>>182771807
To be fair I have to say that that was just to make it really easy to draw when starting with a standard Flanker, because it's just simple reference points.
The wing pretty much just goes from the root to the trailing edge of the wingtip and then down to the trailing edge of the elevators and accross to reconnect with the fuselage.

Just you guys watch. Next thing you know Thunder will be tricking fapfic anon into writing for his rpg or something.

Nah. He'll get fapfic anon and PW dev and trick them into working together on an F-4 dating sim or something.
>>
>>182778179
No that'll be the collab with the guys who made that tank dating sim
>>
Has anyone got a picture of the F-16XL with the slats clearly visible? The ones on the Flankers are immediately noticeable and I'd like to keep them that way for the Su-30MKY.

Would you feel like providing technical counseling for any of the designs I posted (Su-30MKY included)?
Knowing next to nothing about the internals of an aircraft, it really feels to me that putting stats on a design really elevates it to the next level.
Someday I will be able to do that myself. Aeromantic life goals.

I'm sure there is money to be made with planes and I would still consider it, but I have no writing talent.

The planes would not be replaced with girls, they would just be planes though

And there goes my cue to go back to finish the Su-27 (+variants) mecha musume and move on to other models.

What if planes were anime girls.

>F-16 would be the loli
>Typhoon would be an easily flustered ojou-sama.
>F-4 would be the christmas cake teacher who is constantly worried about getting married.
>MiG-21 would be the 3,000 year old vampire who just so happens to be a loli.
>MiG-29 is the spunky younger sister
>F-15 is the perfect student council president.
>Su-27 is the delinquent
>F-14 is the tomboyish leader of some sports club.
>Nighthawk would be the girl with the bangs over her eyes that sits in the corner of the room and everyone forgets about.

You guys figure out the rest.

And flying off into the sunset. AC1 is a fun game still.

Is there any NG+ stuff in it like for 2?
>>
>>182780354
By finishing various difficulties you either start the game with all the missions unlocked, all the planes unlocked, or all the OST (?) tracks unlocked in the player.
Don't recall the specifics though.
>>
>>182779982
Would chest size be based on max load weight as in Flight Highschool or on the max load / empty weight ratio?
I remember Thunderceptor posting ratios and by that method F-14 was quite... Flat.

>>182780172
Then I'll ask once I've finished and posted it. Thank you.
Do you have a preference in regards to it's livery?

>>
>>182780906
Already did, I got all the planes in the hangar when I started a new game on Hard.

Does that mean I don't have to worry about loosing them anymore now?

Either NASA experimental colors, or pic related.

Whatever is easier for you.
>>
>>182781014
Right.

Finishing the game on Easy will make Extra (010) appear at the main menu, which results in all the planes, infinitely respawning no matter how many times you crash.
Normal gets you (110), which is all wingmen, and Hard gets you (111), which is all missions.
