Reminder that the new Cancel Affinity skill only works agains Triangle Adept and Gem Weapons, it does not negate the weapon triangle altogether.

They need to release Slaying weapons on a 4* or even a 3* unit to make up for the fact they're a direct upgrade from Killer, but they're not that bad otherwise.
Eldigan has Mystletainn which is a 16mt killer weapon, so Prf will always win.

Who actually wants to forfeit their regular B skills and use this Cancel Affinity skill?

I can think of Reinhardt but it only improves his matchup against Cecilia, his hardest counters Julia and Fae still fuck him up. Bridelia, Klein, Jeorge and other good archers don't want to give up Desperation for it. Maybe Falchion users want it in order to not get countered by TA Nowi, but then she'll just run standard Fury+Swordbreaker and do the same thing. A non +Spd Kagero might want to run it. Anyone else?

Come to think about it, most units who use TA+Raven combo are pretty shit units who need it in order to actually kill some people. These units are rare with maybe the exception of Cecilia and do you really want to give up a B slot in order to maybe counter some shit units that you will only see every once in a blue moon? Not to mention the fact that it is locked behind a 5* unit in the first place so you have to get lucky to summon Mathilda first so it's not like Cancel Affinity units will be a common sight. I honestly think this is just overreacting like the one that happened when Panic Ploy was first revealed.

Colourless can run triangle adept, but it has no positive effect because there's no triangle advantage to amplify, only a triangle disadvantage against raven tomes.
This new skill counters triangle adept, meaning every unit which has a triangle disadvantage will be able to use it against TA units which are advantaged vs them. This means archers can use it to nullify TA on raven tomes.

They're just an excuse to introduce new weapons/skills into the game at a premium, which is IS' way of addressing present balance issues without patching balance directly. If every killer unit is released with slaying weapons , there's no problem. Killer weapons were fucking trash, and this is how it should be dealt with. People can cry power creep all they want, but it's not creeping past anything other than what were already considered the worst weapons in the game. You can claim power creep when they start making blade tomes with more Mt or prf weapons start having 20 mt.

Worth noting that 12mt is goddamn high for a bow.
Firesweep+, Assassin's+ and Clarisse's+ are all 11mt, and even the silver+ is only 13. Being only -1mt for a killer effect is really, really good. It's basically the new default bow option for any non-brave archer. It's a shame almost every non-brave archers is so terrible they aren't worth inheriting anything onto, but if they were, Slaying would be your go-to.

I know that feeling, I had a broken molar that caused pain so intense I teared up. I tried to stir up hot and cold sensations in the area thinking it would drown out the pain. Boy was I wrong.
Funny thing is that it was broken for years and didn't cause problems until a certain point. I suspect the nerve may have become exposed but I got the tooth pulled soon after and I never bothered to ask.

That's only true if everyone starts running it. Considering it's a hard to get skill locked behind a 5* pull I very much doubt it. Also, very few units are going to be giving up their B slot in order to run a skill that only really counters niche units like the Robins or Henry and Sophia and shit.

Not everyone is gonna be able to roll the character, be willing to toss them away for the weapon, or spend 20,000 on their 4* counterpart.

You're assuming everyone is gonna want to be running it which is hardly the case. Who the hell wants to give up their B slot in order to deal with shit units who are rare to find in the first place? Sure Reinhardt does and it's a shame that TA Cecilia can't deal with him anymore but there are still other ways around it. So maybe green units who use TA to deal with Rein are irrelevant but M.Robin, Henry, Sophia and whatever else aren't really affected since no one else is going to be putting Cancel Affinity in their units just to deal with them.

I don't like the skill either but it's hardly gonna be the meta-breaking oppressive skill that everyone is making it out to be.
