What it helps with is units that will rarely double anything, but are still just above average. If your speed is around 33, you'll only double the absolute slowest of shitters, but sweep skills will be effective against more than half the cast. That's the skill's optimal use.

If you have a unit with 60spd he'll do the exact same thing as someone that has just 1 more. Thus wasting things like darting blow and stuff. Of course you can sweep pretty much everyone but it does have a hefty cost.

Uh, doubling units? All blues should get one-shot, but you'd want to double as many reds (since you can kill those), greens and greys as possible. Especially in shit like Tempest Trials and Infernal GHB where enemies have inflated HP out the ass.

I went with skills that could fit thematically. Swordbreaker lets him defeat Alm without fear, while Vengeance fits his nature. Like imagine this is when he finds out that Alm is actually royalty, of course he'd feel vengeful and would just want to kill Alm because of that.

Otherwise I think I see what you mean. Vengeance works better if he's at lower health, while Swordbreaker only works if he's at higher health.

Could be that it's far more lenient in general. Enemy stats are less inflated, no mage horses or armors in the final map, there's a Stamina Potion given every day.

I don't know if I'd have the patience to rank for feathers, I've just burned some stamina potions because I want all the rewards as soon as I can and then I can stop. I think it'd mostly depend on how badly you need the feathers.
