I just bought the game and holy shit, its fun as fuck, been playing for 5 hours straight.
But GODDAMNIT its filled with brazilians and chileans who are just assholes, killing other councelors and helping jason, i'm argentinian and i talk in english but these fucks try the best they can not to speak in english,and when they do they do it just to insult you.

I think I found a solution to all the whining councilor/survivor babies.

Bruce Banner should be one of the councilors/survivors, and whenever his fear gets too high or his life gets threatened, he turns into The Hulk. While your The Hulk you can toss Jason or any killer to the corner of the map, or punch them and put them into a 5 minute long stun. As The Hulk you can't get hurt in any way. When the killer goes away The Hulk turns back into Bruce and you continue repairing things.

I come bearing goodies for the F13 PC players, since this is the only place discussion can actually happen due to everywhere else going hugbox mode in the past few hours.

First order of business is how to bypass the obnoxious intro movie with a simple command edit.

Go to C > Users > "yourname" > AppData > Local > SummerCamp > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor > Game.ini and place the following inside it to just have the game load straight to the title screen;

The next order of business is that I've located the files within the game folder and learnt that the stupidly loud intros with Jason every match are actual video files of only 5 MB or so in size, meaning that in theory, one can pop them into a video editor and lower the sound by like 15 DB or so to keep your headphones from blowing up. Thinking of throwing them into Premiere and exporting them softer, and making a .zip to share online if people are interested.

Only reason by this point is because devs might suddenly say it's a glitch on social media and ignore the date videos were recorded, netting a ban.

It'd be less sucky if Jason didn't have instant choke after teleporting right on top of someone, so composure would mean more than how fast someone's screen goes dark from fear.

Quick /assg/, what's your favorite Assymetical Slasher game that isn't Friday the 13th or Dead By Daylight?

Personally, I thought Damned was pretty fun before it died. I liked the fact that each monster played radically different, and it's probably the only one of these games that's actually scary most of the time. Only thing that sucked is when your fear got too high, and you started getting random jump scares.

For the past few days I've been analyzing DbD as a whole trying to find what the fuck is wrong with it. DbD is fascinating to me because it's the most divisive game I've ever played, it goes from being fun to being a miserable experience in a matter of seconds.
This is going to sound retarded, but most of the game's problems come from Survivors being severely underpowered and BEhaviour's tape and glue balancing and ways to fix that.

A survivor without any perks is fucking useless compared to a killer. So to compensate people are more tempted to use "Broke"
perks such as Unbreakable, Decisive Strike,

My argument is the following:

How many times have you just let a survivor go just because you heard the "generator complete" notification? how many times have you let him go because of a window loop? How many times have you let somebody go just to clear pallets in an area and prevent further infinite chases?

This kind of wicked game design perspective finds perfect representation in the pallet: the pallet is not a tool of escape, it's a tool of time wasting (continued)

An example of good escape tools which should be present in all maps are things like Coldwind Farm's corn fields. Just today I've juked a Nurse six times in a row, still unable to lose her because I was in the middle of fucking nowhere and there simply was not any way for somebody with two fuctioning eyes to lose a survivor when there are running tracks all over the place.

However, It is often enough for me to just dodge the killer once in the corn fields to lose them. Sometimes I can just crouch in the middle of the field with a killer a few meters away and they won't see me.

If you add more in-map ways for the survivors to lose the killer without having to resort for survivability perks and then you remove the survivability perks, you just get a better game as a result.

A large part of the Killer's underpowerdness comes from the fact that he cannot chase AND make map pressure at the same time, which makes "by the time you catch one survivor three generators are already done" something way too many people are familiar with. If you shift your focus from long chases which often result in the survivor just dying but dying after three minutes because of Sprint Burst + Pallet Exploiting + Self Care + Medikit, to chases that often end in a handful of seconds because the survivor has succesfully lost the killer but only AFTER he's been hit once and healing is more scarceful, the problem solves itself. Kinda. There are still more issues with the game, but this is the most pressing.

The problem now is WHAT you can give the survivors to make hiding easier. I think the fields are great because they are not a separate mechanic and they don't limit movement, like cabinets.

Areas of thicker fogs, shrubs and underbrush, areas of extreme darkness and blinding light, tall grass and smoke.
Also, make killer misses have less of a stunning effect on the first attack, but they get longer and longer the more times a survivor jukes you and it resets on first hit.
