Wtf is going on with the designs of the various Fate sources anyway?

You generally have really nice, grounded servant designs with clear allusions to their mythological origin. And then you get one or two servants per story that are just complete garage.

Why the fuck is specifically Attila the Hun genderbent? Is it a meme to take the most powerful sabers and turn them into girls? Why the fuck is she in a bra and thong? How the fuck is that at all related to Attila? Why is Caesar fat? Why is Darius literally #000000 Black? Why is Spartacus just a headswap with Heracles? Why is Siegfried such overdesigned bullshit, is this bleach? Why do they clearly have the talent to create really awesome designs and keep putting in this shit?

We discussed this in an /a/ thread last week, but it's not really Saber's "fault," that Camelot fell. She was a perfect king. The issue is that people aren't perfect and can't really handle being around perfection. That's where the whole "Arthur doesn't understand people," thing came from.

The interesting thing is that it's not that Saber's perfection in kingship drives her knights to jealousy and subterfuge though. The ironic thing about Camelot's fall is that it came about because they were trying to live up to the example that Saber set but they couldn't because they weren't "perfect," in the way she was.

Mordred didn't hate Arthur and start looking for revenge for being judged not worthy to be King, she set about to prove Arthur wrong and become King by her own hand. Lancelot went insane because Arthur was too good of a person to punish him and he couldn't handle committing a crime that grievous and not being punished for it.

Saber's character arc and that paradoxical core theme of "the inherent imperfection of perfection," is what makes Fate such a novel take on the Arthurian mythos IMHO.

The story of King Arthur makes a point of this. Arthur is forced to have Guinevere executed for her misdeeds after the crime gets out.
It's a bit different than the story in Fate, but both are rooted in Arthur's refusal to discipline Lancelot on his advances.

The person not in the marriage doesn't commit adultery, even though they were necessary for the crime to be committed. Lancelot was party to the crime, but he committed no crime himself.

The problem is that we absolutely don't know what that announcement can be, in JP it was the free 4* but we already got that so unless they give out another 4*, anything can happen. Having a rate up of a new servant that isn't part of the main plot/already played his part is a possibility even if extremely damn small.

Also, we already know that some summer event-related strings are translated in the US client if we are to talk about out of order releases. Since the first summer event in japan had a banner that only had units that are already released in their regular version in US (the banner with Archuria, Ruler Martha and Caster Marie) having that banner being released in US early isn't impossible.
