Rain isn't good anymore, and he's certainly not a tank. His two main tools are Full Break and a +40% buff to all stats. And both Tidus and Tilith have similar buffs.
Firion isn't a tank either, but you don't really have anyone who can fit that role anyway.

I don't mean for this to come off as a brag post but the more I look at Ashe's kit, the more I like her. It feels like a really nice step forward for mages. Even her TMR is pretty cool. It's just a shame that gearing her plus Rem plus another Ashe (if I'm lucky enough to get two) is pretty hard, a lot of good mage gear seems to be either unique or very rare.

So, playing around with Cloud's USB on d300 Bahamut, along with Cloud's BSB2 and Zack's CSB. Damage varied on the BSB from about 12k to 30k near the end with the enWind and part of the chain. Cloud isn't even finished with his 4* spheres, but if I get some spirit motes I can very nearly complete his fucking legend spheres already. 195 dex motes?

I don't think I could manage with 3 FFIII chars since I only have Luneth's SSB. I also can't imagine doing it normally since the 9k heals every time you hit him invalidates a lot of stuff.

I just managed to claw my way back above 50 mythril after the phase 2 fest banner debacle. I managed to master D250 with my garbarge wind SBs (Fang imperil BSB, Cloud OSB) but I don't think I can even clear D300, let alone master or do the CM (Refia BSB/OK BSB/Arc pblink medica SSB, no Luneth). Since I'm saving everything for DoC banner 2, which has some nice wind relics for Cloud and Zack, I think my best bet is just to wait until the next time Bahamut comes by.

Early game is a bit dull in general (the overall game isn't that exciting anyways). But it does pick up once you get the mid-battle job changing feature from chapter 4's prologue.

Events, Exploration area 2 (can't remember the others), and story will net you tickets. Trading Celestriads - objects you get whenever you pull dupe cards - in the shop menu can get you them as well.

The exploration areas in mobius have some.
Also you should be able to make a 1* and 2* mp battle and finish it by being carried and use the materials gained to get one of the summon tickets in the mp shop. Not the first 4 or so summon tickets that you'll see in the top of the list but there should be one near the bottom that you should be able to gather materials from by getting carried.

BTW, what did you get in your first 2 pulls?

Well chocomog isn't bad. But it doesn't work with cloud at all.
mp is only silly in that the 1 and 2* battles are always full of completely maxed job players oneshotting the boss in 1* and 2 turning in 2*. You have nothing to lose and it's another free summon ticket if you need a single one to pull.

Alright, just took a look through the mines and there is 183 mythril left in there I could squeeze out, plus whatever bit we're getting in the dungeon update. I have 57 mythril now. Do I dare put it all on the line and attempt a single 11x pull on the Awakening Cloud banner? For the DoC banner, I need to at minimum get Tifa's SSB and LMR, preferably I'd like to also get, in addition to that, her USB, Cloud's LMR, Cloud's BSB 2, and nice consolation prizes would be Zack's BSB and CSB. Do take into account that many of the jobs there aren't available yet in global. Tho this month the judge gabranth and highwind jobs are getting released.
The 2 numbers are their grades in japan for sp and (mp). Just remember that those numbers don't directly translate into the gl version because those numbers take into account a feature released in jp that hasn't made it to gl yet. for example if you read it you might be led to believe that dragoon is the best breaker in the game, and while that migt be true currently in jp, it is not so in gl. At all.
