Plus you have the Hall of the Novice now, do some guildhests, by the time you're 30 you'll know what its like. You'll have the easiest time staying alive, especially as you get more defensive abilities than anyone else, and invincibility at 50.

I think that is possible, when you are done it asks if you want to save.
BUT there is an easier way. Go to your log in screen (where the character selection is), right click on your character and then you can just save their looks like that.
I have saved all of mine and created them as lvl 1 characters on dead server just to be sure.

Real talk: which of the non Empire countries would have the best pleasure houses?

One is briefly mentioned in Gridania, but they don't seem very notable, although might employ padjali or something.

Ala Mhigo and Ishgard are both shitholes filled with the poor and the desperate, but Ala Mhigo has the ananta.

Limsa Lominsa, with its slaver problems and morally bankrupt citizens, would probably not be above taking captives from Imperial ships, and their location means they're able to gather visitors from all over.

Ul'dah and Kugane would probably be the most competitive. Kugane is a neutral country that is required to entertain visitors from all over the world, and we actually see prostitutes there, including male ones. Ul'dah is the likely the wealthiest and is filled with degenerates who waste ridiculous amounts of money, so it's a reasonable guess to assume they have some very high-class action.
