Monster Hunter is for autists and people with high IQs. Monsters require higher levels of brainpower to learn their specific hitboxes for all attacks, if you want optimal play. Souls grants more invincibility frames. Souls bosses have no HP, allowing more room for errors. Souls enemies and traps are literally IQ checks that you can't fall for a 2nd time.

We get mad because a Soulsbaby has the gall to come in here and imply that his game is even remotely challenging. It's like an engineer going to a physics forum complaining about how hard his baby fluid mechanics class is and wishing that he majored in something easy like Pure Math. We are better than you. Get this through your head, and you won't have any more trouble.

Nigger, I like both MH and Souls. I've all MH mainline games since FU, and all souls since DeS.

Both are quite challenging games, but Souls always boils down into fast rolling through attacks, get 1/2 hits in depending on weapon, fast roll through attacks, zippy, rinse and repeat until boss is kill.

I find MH being much deeper than DS. But once you get the monster patterns down, its on the same level of ez.

So I tried Aerial SA and I have to say this is pretty fun. Using the axe and sword modes since I'm limited to one art is kinda cool since I'm not just in sword mode 24/7. Haymaker slice is nice too!

They're not really comparable. With Dark Souls, there's a few fuck-you bosses that are just mechanical boring bullshit like the Ancient Dragon, but generally everything is just "roll through attack with i-frames, repeat" with a lot of bosses you can burst down pretty quick. The generally considered """hard""" bosses of souls are either because they bait rolls with delayed attacks (Fume Knight) or just have booku-high HP for the game and seizure out massive damage unpredictably (Dergons.) Legitimately 90% of my deaths in DS games are falling off ledges and min-maxed invaders with meta gear when I'm trudging through early game.

I find MH has a lot more depth and options available than going on a wiki and looking up flavor-of-the-patch gear, but that's me. I enjoy them both. Dark Souls 3 is shit though - there, I said it. Worst in the series. Gets way too many free passes under the guise of "git gud" when it's unequivocally broken in so many different ways.

First off, I have a problem with how severely that decreases the amount of grinding you have to do to get the set you want. Obviously making a set has more to do with skills than defense, but I don't like the idea of being able to wear low rank armor all the way to G rank with no downside besides missing out on some better skills. Before, you have to always be making new sets for when you get to high rank, later on in high rank, when you get to G rank, etc.
More importantly though, it's very unintuitive to have defense not at all related to your armor. It doesn't make any sense, and I have a feeling that wearing the first armor set you get in the game will be the hot new thing for shitters because there isn't nearly as much of an incentive to make new armor.

A better solution for people who want to wear what they want is just transmogging, which they added in XX and should carry over to World.

I was doing an amatsu a day, solo with bow, for a while.

Adept or dive if you don't have a TA-ready set to stagger it out of the twister thing with. If you dive, dive when the suction starts pulling you in rapidly even when you sprint away from it. The hitboxes are super weird so just stay out of its way, which is easy enough. Gunner weapons are much better than BM for it. Your oneshot binders can bind it when its subtle wind shield goes down, which happens when it's in an attack animation (including the tell).

I didn't get hit once by the twister thing, it was super easy to get away from with either a dive or readiness. I did get hit from her spinning around it, but that didn't do much damage at all. But the wind shield explains why my binders failed a couple of times, I didn't realize that.

It's not good, it's super clunky and frustrating. The fact that it was a transition between KF and more Souls-like third person games shows, the most important thing it lacks is a dodge so you have to kinda just walk around everything and struggle not to get hit. I heard today that I can transfer my Gen save data to XX if I know someone with a hacked 3ds. I knew that you could do it if you had your save on a hacked 3ds to begin with, but I hadn't considered I could make it happen with just a borrowed hacked 3ds. I don't think any of my friends have one, but maybe I could find someone on the homebrew forums who lives nearby and offer some kinda payment for their time. Or I could possibly buy a new 3ds, hack it, do the transfer, and then return it to wherever I bought it from.

Is it true? Can anyone give me a rundown on how I would go about doing that? I'm definitely going to import XX when it comes out, but if at all possible I'd like to keep my 300 hour save.

Adept is too dodge2win for me, Alchemy is useless, and Striker is for minmax fags who enjoy limited moveset.
