Just practice more and that's it. There is no point in fishing for hard Ignite Parries if you aren't able to first JG properly with more than one enemy around. At some point it gets easier and you're able to kinda connect visual cues, audio cues, and the feeling for boss aggro so you don't get destroyed that much.

An easier defensive fighting style would be using lots of Ride Slashers and Guilty Breaks and being good with JGs when you need it.

Do I need to cite games that actually managed it. Hell we had Magatsu where WL users would cry because setting up holding currents was tricky as fuck and required you to attack side faces from the belly, and Heavenly Fall wouldn't work thanks to the damage falling through the platform and hitting the feet. It was also a heaven for Partizan users both Fi/Hu and Hu/Fi even when they couldn't do shit on other content.

Hell Bow Braver and Ranger generally do and partially used to do worse on any content that was mobbing heavy compared to let's say melee. Ranger before the ring had problems with mobbing and most of his amazing times came from Rifle DPS which was bad for multitarget and it would often be top tier in bossing and heavily fall behind in something like Traces of Darkness XH. Bow Braver is self explanatory.
