The most success I've had against wukong's is as greystone (if not playing wukong myself) and I'd just run right up to him and keep smacking him. I'd circle and orbit around him while making him retreat so that I wouldn't get hit by his clones.
Wukong in general doesn't have alot of health (at least not supposed to if played correctly)
So it's safe to say that wukong is supposed to be squishy, which means that you
1.either have a shit ton of health to fight him
2.never fight him alone
3.don't let him backdoor your inhibs or the Orb Prime (which is really just good team-play at this point)

I'm talking about after the duo switches lanes and I'm vs the wukong, or when he starts split pushing it is my responsibility as the offlaner to stop him while my team 4v4s the other team

I usually play offlane greystone, and I build him mostly tanky with a bit of damage/thunder cleaver/radiant mantle
But like I said in my earlier post, if i try to stop the minion wave from even getting near the t2/inhib, the minions+wukong just destroy my health. If I let the minion wave get TO the tower, then wukong just takes it in under 4 seconds.

Something I realised when playing as Twin earlier: when I'm playing carry, I'm too aware of how squishy I am, and I let it influence how I play (I don't make as many "plays" as I would if I werer using Kwang, say). I realise that I still need to be a presence on the map so it's not a 4v5 until I hit my power spike, but I'm also well aware of the fact that I need to be farming constantly and that dying is the worst thing I can do.
tl;dr - How do I make plays as a carry (initiate and win fights, push lanes/ take objectives) without getting rekt at every turn?

I see. It's a problem I've noticed: even if I ask in chat for te support to not auto the wave, the do it anyway. I just had a Phase stealing last hits and even gold buff right in front of me until they decided to fuck off to mid for the entire game.
If I pick carry, the support doesn't know what they're doing; if I pick support, the carry doesn't know or care about freezing the lane to farm, you can't win.
I guess I'll just stick to farming solo, but more often than not, that invites a deathball to my lane and my team can never seem to respond to that until the t2 has eaten over half it's damage bar.

As for gold buff, when i play with high elo people I'm used to them letting me having, and only even going over to it when the offlaner looks like he will try to contest. When I smurf or play with lower elo friends the carries get overly protective of the buff to the point where they threaten to afk, I guess because they can't last hit as well? So I generally just take the first buff so I can get early wards, then ignore the rest of them. If you're playing Greystone, you got it pretty easy, engage the minions before he can but when they engage yours, have Radiant Mantle on and q while he's hitting your minions and your hitting his. Once you've at least taken out the ranged minions, and you got a couple minions to back you up, just turn on him and start wailing.

Damn, I would've thought /parag/ would've liked the transition from cp to actual currency. It really caps you if you're ahead and let's the enemy team catch up.

Stacks are everything but don't sit on 2 whites playing your little highscore game while teamfights are happening. It is easy to tunnel vision.
Pray your initiation is followed up but always expect it won't be.
Land. The. Root. This is the most important ability.
Spam the fuck out of siphon, and try to double up when you can. It adds up and you should be using it on cooldown in fights. Also anim cancel with it.
Stab link into fights and ghost walk out. Only use spooky dash if you are 100% certain it is safe to chase. Being spooky lets you turn decent positioning into very shit positioning very, very quickly. Don't kill yourself.
Get ahead. Sev is hands down the most fun to play fed. You do amazing damage, have good cc, and can just eat shit to the face for days. Do everything you can to get ahead and snowball. If you do it correctly you won't ever see his best though. Late game full stack Sev is comical and as long as you watch out for the adcs, you can usually 1v5.
Bloodsoaked armor, thermo/toxi, ward, stab link/utility, and fill is the popular build as far as I can tell. Really just focus on defense as his siphon naturally gives him enough power and pepper into utility and counter items. You can give him a little pen late game if you want but he doesn't absolutely need it.
Your start should be Stalker siphon >> madspore + ward + growth pot. Kite and dont fucking kill yourself on whites. My kill order is:
River white > Green > Base white > safe white > (base white if you missed the spawn) > river white > river buff. This will put you lvl 3, ~75% hp(if you kite correctly), ~5-7 stacks but ideally you should have more, and enough mana to cast siphon once for the river buff with about ~6 seconds to get there. This route is risky though as good mids can steal your green and mega fuck you and poor kiting puts you <50% hp for the river buff fight. And you are using green to camp so it takes away a bit of gank potential.

how do I git gud at carry? I figured it would be easy street but I must be retarded, even on rev I usually end up with barely a 1.5 k/d. Either I don't get teammates that help me out and go for objectives, or I get them, but they puss out and never commit to taking an objective even if it means a death. But i'm sure i'm shit too, my cs is usually barely in the hundreds by the 40 minute mark. Should I work on that or is there something else to focus on?

Focus on last hitting, do the raptors with your team every time you kill ~2 enemies, eventually steal some of the jungle if each camp has 5 minions and your jungler is busy.

first and most importantly learn to farm. you should have 100 cs by 20 minutes at the latest. if your game goes 40 minutes you should be in the high 200's not barely hitting 100.
second don't die for objectives, either defending or taking them. dying for a t1 is never worth it dying for a t2 is almost never worth it the only objectives you should be willing to die for are inhibs and even then you shouldnt YOLO them. honestly you shouldn't even have to worry about dying for the objectives because you should be taking them after you've won a fight
third learn target priority if you kill their carry (or phase because ebin is retarded) and their caster and then you die you did your job. likewise your teams job is to get that greystone or sev who jumps on you every fight off you so you can actually do that but dont be the carry who takes 10 seconds trying to kill a greystone just because he was near you while the enemy carry gets a quad on the rest of your team
