How do you get items for watching LANs? I have been playing counter strike for a long time but have never followed esports until this year. I usually just watch the matches on twitch but you can get items if you watch it in the game itself? how does it all work

I feel like I am the only one on my team who understands territory control and holding angles. we'll play cache and like four people will buy AWP and want boost. I will watch the teams back when they rush in because as soon as they commit to a site, obviously the guys at the other site are going to come rushing up. One time four of them rushed into B site cache and got mowed down, and I was watching behind and took one pick in garage before dying, and they yelled at me "what are you doing back there? what are you doing back there?" I told them to suck my dick. Then one of them wants boost but doesn't even use it, he just sits up there while everyone else rushes B and then get mowed down when the guys from A rotate and shoot him from behind. Admittedly I make plenty of dumb mistakes too, but these guys don't give callouts for shit, they abandon mid without saying anything, and when we rush they go in one at a time, slowpeeking. I try to explain the whole concept of map control and flanking and it just doesn't matter to them. Half the time the only satisfaction I get from the game is watching promatches and enjoying their strats because they are actually interesting.
