You actually get a lot just from events. I was down to the low, low number of one hundred around February and I'm back to 180ish even though there haven't been any significant fuckups since then. The trick is hoarding them until events are ending and rely on natural AP as much as possible.

Halloween is the first event with apple rewards.

Incidentally, never use apples as soon as an event starts. The best nodes for drops are always unlocked around the end of an event's storyline.

Pretty much. When you get C. Stars your servants will absorb them. How many each servant gets, and how many go to their cards is generally pretty random, but some servants have a higher C. Star absorb rate, meaning they will probably get more stars which means higher crit chances on their attacks.

The ideal is to have one character with high C. Star drop rate (usually an Assassin with a +C. Star item like Be Elegent) and then putting an item to increase C. Star absorb on a character who hits like a truck (someone with strong Burst cards, or a character who you want to quickly charge their NP).

No, no they're not. Story locked Servants are ONLY added to the story gacha, and the only reason to ever roll that shit is when a new Order comes out and you really, really want the rateup servant.

Limited gachas and regular rateups, that is to say what you'll be rolling 9% of the time, have none of the story unlocks unless those servants are specifically part of the rateup. You might roll Saber Alter if she's part of a rateup herself, but nowhere else outside the story gacha.

I'm not sure if you're an old player trolling, or a new one not really understanding what you're talking about. Let me unpack this:

First, if your argument for a 5* not being shit is that she's better than 4*s, then you're already reaching. No shit, they're supposed to be much better. And even then she's not, Artoria Lancer Alter is better thanks to her crit skills.

Second, the tier list is only for shitposting purposes, everyone knows this.

Third, you're comparing apples to oranges. A lot of 4*s are better than 5*s at CERTAIN THINGS. Comparing Mashu and Bryn is ridiculous. Mashu is a defensive support, and you'll sure as hell find a gazillion more uses for post-upgrade Mashu than for Bryn. Same for Herc.

Bryn has the stupidest unique modifier in the game which makes her optimized only for fighting Tesla, and if you're an old player you know fucking well how not-often he shows up as an enemy. Her rateup is even after London. It's the same problem MHX has with being only really good against Santa Alter and Swimsuit Mordred. Even Enkidu is better than her since he has a better Mana Burst.

Yes, she's better than, say, Ana, but that's no accomplishment for a limited 5*. It's like trying to say Iskander is good because Astolfo exists.

The only 5* Lancer that can compete with Scathach is Tamamo, and only because of Merlin support being thrown in the equation and there not being a Quick equivalent. Scathach being by far unmatched as a standalone is one of the longest-standing complaints in the game, especially since she's geared for fucking Gil's shit up, and Gil is an extremely common high-level Archer.
