That could very well be the case, but it doesn't detract from my original point, which is that going from 60 to 66 costs 6 levels for almost no real returns. Those 6 levels gave me only an additional 3 damage with B scaling.

Honestly I've never really had trouble hitting people with ultra weapons. I've never seen a single goddamn person who understands both poisetrades, unlocked combat and delayed attacking enough to avoid everything I can do. Not a single fucking one.

I long for the day that I am outplayed hard enough to make me want to try a smaller weapon in PvP, but I've had the most luck killing 2v1s using ultra weapons, so I'll keep using them.

I actually agree about the straight sword and shield thing. There's no point bitching about them. They're strong, but they're a crutch, because all they teach your average host is that you can get out of any situation by mashing R1 until everything is dead, which is a very bad lesson to have internalised when they come up against somebody who actually knows what the fuck they are doing.

What STR weapons require 18 Dex? The only one I can think of is Harald CGS but you can just use Exile at a couple points of lower Dex instead, 16 is the more natural upper limit of dex for Strength builds since it gives you Splitleaf and the Greatlance.

Are any of the boss weapons in DS3 worth using? Started recently, and I've currently only got a handful of boss souls (Vordt, Greatwood, Crystal Sage).

Get the Hollowslayer Greatsword from Greatwood's soul then, that's one of the earliest and best quality boss soul weapons and it's one of the best greatswords for PvE due to its damage bonus against hollow enemies. How do you counter support mages in the undead match 3v3s? They are the most annoying thing about playing the brawls

I wanted to try a heavy weapon run for once so i picked the vordt hammer.
After i killed captain bloodborne im lvl35, i have 27 in vit and strength and i have no idea what to level. I don't see any other stats i will need for a str weapon. Only 1 scaling stat and two handing cuts off like 45 levels that i dont need to get.
Do i just get faith for healing or what? 7-8 more vitality for fast rolls? Am i missing something?

For actual casting magic and faith are limited to a few select spells that are crazy good (Lightning Arrow, Homing Soulmass, healing stuff) with a bunch of spells that are comparatively useless.

For melee though magic and faith have a lot of great stuff to go with them. Magic has Heysel Pick, MLGS, and Immolation Tinder which are all great weapons. And Faith has incredibly powerful weapons now like the Saint Bident and Crucifix of the Mad King.
