Hey /svg/, I'm a noob and have a fistful of questions.

For point of reference, since the cards conveniently (mostly) came together I'm on D-Shift. I have a Merlin and a D-Shift among other things, and Spellboost feels good to use for me.

Are there any Earth Rite spells that are fine to run, assuming I'm going spellboost and not earth rite? My curiosity partially stems from Guardian Golems being basically one of the few ways Runecraft gets Ward, and I kinda like the idea of defending myself while my spellboosts go off. Or, is that the job of Neutral followers?

On the topic of Earth Rite, how good or bad an idea is it to run Petrification if I can't Earth Rite it? I recently got locked to death by Mordecai the Duelist and Trial of Strength, which was unpleasant. Also, Ouroboros exists. Both are finishers that, as I understand, Runecraft in general can't deal with outside of hitting it with Petrification.

On the side note of other decks, I opened one Fairy Driver and two Tias one of which is animated, but basically none of the other important rare forestcraft cards, which is a bit problematic. Do I bother holding onto the cards in the hope that I pull together the rest of the forestcraft deck, or do I feed it all into a blender and complete the D-Shift deck?

It's really not a good idea right now, but worse than that, it's fucking expensive to play that style of deck. If you're new and hovering around the early brackets you really don't have to worry as much about the meta shit that gets discussed here, you can climb as far as A rank on jank budget stuff.

There aren't any real "Aegis decks" per se anymore, players just add Aegis to already existing decks as a secondary wincon and when they lose without playing they just get classified as those decks, on the occasions where they actually get to play Aegis they are a lot more likely to win and get classified as Aegis.

Petrify isn't for everyday stuff, it's almost explicitly for Mordecai the Duelist, Ouroboros, and other self-recursive threats. If I can rip the recursion rule off of the damn thing, it makes my life easier.

It's about the same. Neutral blood is a boring as fuck new blood archetype. Reaper + token vomit was a boring as fuck new Shadow archetype. Neither were frankly very skillful to play beyond having enough class knowledge to tech against mirror matches yourself. It's easy to pity them since this set has what seems like the best midrange shadow (in terms of fun) since standard, but I wouldn't say they're worse off since traditional vengeance or control blood got a lot stronger too.

Never. Buffing cards is verboten in CCGs for reasons nobody actually understands.

T2 is so fucking stupid now. Too many of the bronze/silver cards are so strong so people luck out and get constructed curves until turn 5. Just went 4-1 playing basically neutral blood and there's not really a lot you can do if you don't get as good of a deck.

Mainly because when you start playing better people, they deny your kaleido targets, so petrify makes one
There's also the extremely fringe scenario where unenhanced Petrify can deal with Mordecai/Alice with Sexton on the field, whereas Enhanced one can't, since there's no Transform protection yet other than Aegis.

Does anyone else strongly get the impression they _need_ to nerf the Spawn Blood deck before the first month ends, as in it will be damaging for their playerbase if people can't play decks other than Spawn or Spawn counters without just playing a loss simulator?

Is there any hope of being relevant in this meta without using Alice decks? I want to have a semi-usable deck for every class so I can do my dailies in ranked for score rewards and gold since I'm still in low A.

I have two Lions so I'm considering crafting another one of them, at least for my Haven wins. I don't have any Spawns, but with 2x Belph and 2x Soul Dealer I've been running them in a fairly standard Vengeance deck with some of the new cards that fit well. Rune's pretty safe with budget burn (-Oz +Melvie), so's sword with a mediocre Albert midrange deck. Dragon's pretty rough, I use a pretty cheap storm deck, but I did roll two Jabberwocks I'd like to meme with if possible.

I mulligan Forest and Shadow. I have 3x each of Rose Queen and Minthe but basically nothing else for them, so they're straight fucked for a while.
