The thing is anon that most young adults grow out of (meaning it stops regardless so therapy or no) gender dysphoria. You can do things like therapy to help cope because it's clearly a very unpleasant situation. There's different types of therapy. Especially older methods have had very concerning aims. But statistically if you aim to assist them to convert you're harming more than you do good.

The remaining people who might be served by hormone treatments or whatever are a problematic case. Identifying these should be of primary concern. Giving people the idea that it's anywhere close to normal to actually want to do this and do it is terrible because it's proposing a treatment indiscriminately. Most trans people are quite young. They don't last long. It's a very sad situation and I couldn't possibly bring myself to trade these peoples lives for attention to charity. It might be a net win in a humanitarian sense but it's an emotionally problematic suggestion for me.

I normally don't argue about GD because in the grand scheme it's an incredibly small issue. It's given far more attention than it deserves.

I just don't want you to hurt people. You may not realize it but if you affirm kids (remember, 4chan and twitch is mainly kids) in their belief that changing sex is a good option you're gonna hurt a lot of people for a long time.

It's just conjecture but I suspect simply by virtue of time passing that the higher up in age you get with these issues the more likely they are to stay. So there's an argument for targeting older people if you really want to have people do this stuff.
