I've been thinking about "neutral" abilities, e.g. abilities that are usually useless unless you or the enemy team are in a particular situation, for example something like an aura effect that causes the enemy team to take say 20% more damage, but increases their healing by 20%
I imagine this would be great against 3 dps comps and terrible against 3 tank comps, and a great way to abuse greedy teams with 1 healer (e.g. mercy)
Do these have a place in overwatch or would they just cause situational picks like sym?

Why is the concept that Junkrat takes no damage from his own explosives AND takes 30% less damage from enemy explosives across the board (Unrelated to his own explosive immunity, you could just tape it on to Total Mayhem for flavor purposes) so hard for you to grasp?

He already has ONE (Immunity to self damage), but it doesnt work properly because he still takes damage from explosives genji relects back at him. Which can make sense, if Genji didn't also take no damage from the grenades he reflects back, implying that genji somehow inherits the passive "No self explosive damage" from Junkrats M1 when he deflects it. Which doesn't make sense, because the passive is attached to Junkrat, no the explosive projectile.

And for balance reasons you could argue that Junkrat shouldn't take damage from his own deflect explosives because, Genji is great, and Junkrat is shit, and it works from a flavor perspective, so why not.

The 30% less explosive damage across the board is completely unrelated and I dont think you understand that. It just means that he takes less damage from explosive heroes like pharah and to a lesser extent soldier and whatnot, and again makes sense from a flavor perspective. Solves two problems: Give him more of a niche to fill, and buffs him against heroes really strong against him. Which again is a good chance for the games balance

I'm convinced the group up voice option doesnt show up on your team mate's screen when you use it. It has never worked for me.

It's so hard to do good as sombra when your team doesn't make use of it. They ignore my hacked health packs, my call out and especially my ult. Also I get behind enemy lines, srat shooting their healer but I'm suddenly focused by what feels like 12 other players and I have to translocate back, only having done half damage. If I'm too greedy I die and my team won't make use of the distraction too.

I was in a game of Mystery Heroes last night on Eichenwalde Defense. Our team was blessed to have Torb. The Torb was some level 10 faggot and he didn't set up the turret. I asked him if he could set up the turret.

The moment the match began he ran directly into the enemy spawn and got killed. Then he came back as Sym and did it again. And he kept feeding the enemy 4-5 times until he got Soldier. But he was a shit Soldier so he ended up dying and then he left the game.

Why do people like this even play Mystery Heroes?

So it makes sense and it always seems to me that sticking to one hero for an entire round nets me tons more SR

And it makes sense why we never see anyone complaining about Sym getting you fucktons of free SR despite having the highest winrate of any hero in comp, because people always switch off of her during attack.

Sym is extremely good in any map with a lot of hallways or chokes because if she shoots first she can gank a whole team. I went something like 30-1 in a match once with Sym just playing her like a rogue and waiting for that sweet backstab, and both her ults are so incredibly powerful.
