The BSB came out after Kain's but the commands are actually WEAKER than his, they are also NOT ranged and NOT jumps. Sky High in itself is also weaker than both Dragoon Jump and Lightning Dive, multiplier wise, unfortunately, and Freya's skillset is extremely lacking unfortunately.

I also don't have any physical wind boost gear.

Freya's BSB rotation tends to be 1 -> SH -> SH -> 2 -> 2 -> Mode Ends.She just gets regular 5 uses since No Air Time doesn't eliminate ATB charge or anything.

Fujin is straight up better with Wind boost weapon and Wind boost armor than she is with an 7* upgraded OSB magic thrower and 8* mage robe in damage numbers, I've tried both. The wind boost blows the MAG out of the water.

The problem with using the SSBs to EnWind is that the bars are already too tight here. I need to push one early to even get to the end phase in time for my buffs and wall to last, and then I can spend the remaining 2 to buff them to actually do enough damage to outdo his healing, but it doesn't last and doesn't go fast enough still.

Honestly this bosses design with having to slowplay until the end just goes right against everything jumpstart stands for and requires, so the buff timers just kill you if you don't have native Onion or something like it coming out soon.

Lets see some action shots!

Just unlocked NIN as my first ever job. Thought the idea of being shinobi would be rad, and I'm still down with the idea, but holy fuck is this gonna be a rough ride. Is NIN one of the more complex jobs? I can't imagine it's going to be smooth learning those mudras.

On the flip side, coming from WoW, this will be the most complex DPS class I've ever seen.

POTD, a shitty dungeon made by one designer that was truly fucked in the head and had to unleash his torment upon all the players by making a boring ass dungeon with mobs that die in 2 hits that requires no tanks or healers that is randomly generated by connecting multiple 4 by 4 rooms with random invisible traps in it that range from not being able to do anything for 30 seconds to an aoe explosion that brings you to 10% hp. each run through 10 floors of this mess which takes about 15minutes give and take will net you 1/3rd of a level all the way up to level 60 so it is by far the only efficient way to level DPS roles since Square had the fucking balls to make SAM a dps role instead of a tanking role, let alone ship a new expansion without any new healing/tanking roles which straight up killed any decent queueing the game had into a 30-40 minute wait if you want to do ANYTHING at all as a DPS player.

What wouldve been interesting if you had POTD but just queued for dungeons that are tuned to POTD levels, or perhaps a random selection of 3 trash & boss sections of 3 random dungeons and knitting them together to form a whole.

Throughout the dungeon you "gear up", or like level up your weapon/armor by opening blue chests

upon reaching 30/30 you can exchange said levels for a permanent version of the weapon you use inside POTD (ilvl230 lv60)

You can than once again upgrade said weapon by exchanging another 60/60, creating a 260 or 270 lv60 weapon and giving it a red/lava ish glow rather then a blue one

also has some general collectables in the form of an ugly ass mount, some pets and a very weird random bag appraisal system that nets you anything between old unobtainable armor sets for glams to bikini's

Anyone else feel like they were exotic and stood out during the MSQ this time around? In past ones I always felt like I fit right in with weapons and armor that was built for this region, and it was a nice feeling. Stormblood made me feel really unique in its own way which I also greatly appreciated.

I was a caramel hyur woman so the comments about being a foreigner made me feel exotic. Just some random westerner blatantly sticking out in western styled armor kicking the empire's ass and buying all the food from the locals.

310 VIT accessories with STR VI is probably going to be the realistic setup for Omega unless they make more fights where the OT takes almost no damage (like Lakshmi). Realistically it'll probably be tailored to the fight to see how many 270's you can get away with.

That said, in your average midcore group, 310VIT+Melds will likely generate less wipes than 270 STR accessories will.

i330 greens with STR+25 and DH+76 will be BiS since they'll be more or less identical damage with the exception of Skillspeed/Tenacity items for which the i270 blue pieces will be better damage out.
The difference of +54strength at i350 left side is only +2.5% damage which is made up for in secondary stats and the DH overmelds. No tank gear has DH in it, so the +76DH is a direct +0.5% damage bonus, so in lies the question of whether or not there's 268 stats worth of secondaries on the other substats (which would be +2% or higher)

The only place tanks should be wearing vit accessories is dungeons so the healers have more time to use their superior AoE.

Only "Defense," "Magic Defense," and "Tenacity" offer damage reduction. This means that a 35k HP tank and a 42k HP tank both require the same amount of healing since they are both taking the same amount of damage. The difference is that if the 35k HP tank fucks up their cooldown timer, they will outright die before a healer can do anything whereas the 42k HP tank has a bigger cushion. I've had my group's PLD run STR full melds in sword oath for Lakshmi and Susano with not much loss on my healer DPS. I find that taking VIT right side is kind of insulting and obnoxious, it simply turns a 6 minute run into a 6 minute 30 second for "safety" that only shitters need.

Should I use a parser? Would it help me improve in DPS over all? I am worried that it will cause me to tunnel vision. A lot of my friends except one seem to tunnel vision in doing the most DPS possible that they fail to realize: Dying means no DPS and thus die to mechanics.

Hello, /xivg/! New-red-mage Anon here. I have a question. To make it short, I just got my level 50 red mage gear, but I'd like to change my rapier for something a bit better... and I saw the Poetics one. Now, how do I unlock the Daily Roulette level 50 that awards daily poetics? I searched online and it said that you need to unlock and complete all 50 dungeons but someone from my FC was saying otherwise and I got confused. I don't even see it as locked for me, it's simply not there. Do I need to finish the Castrum Meridianum MSQ first? I have yet to do that one. Thanks you in advance!
