the enochian indicator is shit until it actually lights up properly at 70, it confused me forever

If it appears gold and not transparent then enochian is up, and you keep it up by never dropping astral/umbral.

Basically you can't keep casting Fire IVs until you're down to a second left anymore, you need to make sure you have room to cast something to refresh astral/umbral.

Blizz IV negates the increased cost of your next 3 fire spells, so you can use it to get 6 Fire IVs into a fire phase. At 68 it lets you double flare without needing convert.

Depends on how quickly you progress through the MSQ, honestly. Once you get to the point where you beat the shit out of Ifrit, you'll be able to join a grand company, get a chocobo mount/companion that you can summon in overworld content to fight by your side and level independently of you, and access to two free retainers where you can store items and gil. That's not until level 20 or so, so no worries. Just pay attention to how battle mechanics work and ingrain the basics into muscle memory, adjusting as you learn new abilities with levels. All classes are super boring at low level, but I promise they get more fun.

Once you get to level 15, go to any Adventurer's Guild and do all of the Hall of the Novice trials for good starter gear and a ring that gives you 30% extra EXP when level 30 and below.

Healing. You can really separate the good healers from the bad. Tanking can be tricky with holding onto trash pulls' enmity, but their job is generally straightforward. A good tank is noticeable, but a bad one is still manageable. A bad healer can fuck everything up really fast. Just my opinion though.

I've only had -one- alliance that listened to me when I said "IGNORE THE FAGGOTS STORMING OUR BASE, GO AROUND AND SLAM MAEL'S ASSHOLE" And so badders sat on our base racking up a measly extra point per tick and wondering why nobody wanted to go fight them, while we stormed Mael.

How important is it to do all the quests on the map?

Do I need to do lvl 8 quests that I haven't done eventhough I'm lvl 12? Or should I skip to lvl 12 zone? Or should I straight up go to a lvl 14 zone?
