So replaying the game a third time something new kind of struck me about how stupid the whole Okumura situation was.
Why did Morgana pick the absolute worst time to go on his rant?
Everyone was trying to rationally think if they should have gone after Okumura except for Ryuji who never thinks things through. So then he goes on his tirade instead of siding with the obviously correct people who are reasonably worried about something that WAS up.
It makes so little sense.

I feel like all of the people who hate Akechi kind of missed the point of his character and backstory. He is the perfect example of a tragic villain, as he was as much of a victim of society as all the heroes. Even if you don't understand Japanese though, there's definitely a lot of large scale contextual clues that you can use to piece the larger picture together, even if you miss some of the finer nuance. So I can't say I'm surprised he was able to call some shit even without understanding the language.

Well, I like her appearance. Green eyes with black hair always manages to titillate me. The way she dresses appeals to me too. Her personality is pretty good imo. I'll admit she can come across as a bit obnoxious but it's part of her charm. It's similar to the girls' hot spring scene. I thought it was no big deal but a lot of people seem to take offense to it.

Personally I don't understand why people hate Marie but love people like Makoto or Mitsuru who are a lot more naggy and very strict. It's very weird imo.

If anything it's the opposite, P3 has barely anything going on in the story except for November and January and people have to overhype the ending to make up for it, just like P2's gameplay and story. P4 tries to hide that with tons of slice of life events, the entire Mitsuo arc is incredibly contrived and only happens because the murder mystery story has run out of steam at that point.

A part of me is sad that Goro had great potential but his writing ended up being a mess, because pretty much every issue the individual PT had is shown in him in some way. There's also the matter of how parts like him feeling at home at Leblanc are less spelled out compared to his smirk when he kills Joker and I don't really blame people for not being sympathetic since the struggles of the PT are the ones we're following and seeing throughout the game. If Goro ever had any misgivings about what he was doing it's mostly gone by the time P5 has happened and the game does not do a good job of showing that his plan to ruin his dad ever made any sense unless he'd already given up on every other adult too.

I agree that the scene was pretty damn great, and it was a nice resolution for the characters. Plus the memento-ized tokyo was fucking baller.

It's just the villain himself that sucks. They could at least made him more original. Even the final battle comes across as essentially the same as Izanami except with a bullet instead of laser beam this time.(though Satanaeal was pretty damn cool, I admit.)

Granted 3 kinda did it first as well, but there was a little more variation between 3 and 4 then there is in 4 and 5 with how it plays out.

There's even buildup that happens in the summer months with the food businesses getting involved in scandals that she can even choose to react to or not.
