Cephadrome has actual unique animations instead of generic flying wyvern attacks, when it dives it gets it's attack done with and goes back on land, and isn't so big that it ends up bottle-necking itself in a zone line. The funny thing is that Plesioth could easily have it's own attacks built from it's underwater moveset in 3U. I'm disappointed Plesioth didn't get a tail flip reminiscent of it's flip in 3U or any kicking attacks despite long legs being a distinct feature on Plesioth

The story is hot garbage owing mostly to Sasuke and the fact that the black blight somehow isn't caused by a Gore Magala, instead by something that looked like it escaped out of Squeenix.

The gameplay is somewhat interesting, though RNG is a part of it (You can do certain powerful attacks but only when your monster isn't being a retard in its attack choices) I like it more than Pokemon, though that's not a huge leap for me to make


Honestly, if you're not a huge fan of the series, don't bother.

I've just been going for the head for the stuns since i bought the game, and now i know from conversation, kiranico, and experience that the head tends to be the best spot for blunt hits on all monsters, but when using blades would "hit random limb, observe blood fx, hit other limbs, observe fx, guage weakest limb, focus fire there" be a good strategy, even on monsters i don't know?

As >>180714630 points out, while rolling out of an animation is a form of animation canceling it won't allow for anything other then stopping attacks sooner so you can dodge faster. Now if you can cancel attacks into other attacks you'd be on point, as that stuff is even in BnS, an MMO, but no one was clear on what animations were being canceled and how (other then rolling out of items).
